Gaming / Re: Dark Souls Ninja Run (with voice)« on: June 28, 2017, 11:43:45 AM »Yeah man, I'm not bullshitting. Dark Souls runs at 30fps on PC just the same. I'm using a mod to change the cap to 60, but it causes some issues.Oh it's a mod? No wonder. I thought Dark Souls was set at 60 fps on PC.Flee don't blame 60 fps for that shitty jump lmaoNaw man, I even ran to the very end of the one wooden plank that sticks out a bit. Modding the game to run at 60fps just screws with jump distance. In the DS games, the way the engine works is tied to your fps. In DS2 this creates a bug where modding it to run at 60 instead of 30 makes all your weapons decay twice as fast because the game registers twice as many frames of it degrading whenever you hit something. In DS1, it causes issues with gravity meaning that your jump distance is shortened, ladders and elevators can glitch out and physics on sloped/sliding surfaces can be a mess. I might have fallen either way, but I think the 60fps didn't help much. http://www.nexusmods.com/darksouls/mods/19/? https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=381735293 2045

I've already rung both bells on my actual character, so it's going to take a few episodes to catch up. I think I speak louder at this point. 2048

Good job. Seath is generally considered to be one of the easiest bosses of the second part of the game, but his cursing can be a pain to deal with if you don't have the right equipment for it. He has a pretty cool backstory too.
And watching this video reminds me of how much of a pain he's going to be to kill without taking any damage. Just one step in his spike fields and you're done for. 2051

Don't worry, uploading the next one now. Let it render overnight because it takes like 2 hours to get it done in 1080p 60fps with this high of a bitrate.

It's easier to do when I just comment on random things rather than give explanations for stuff. But yeah, I'll try to sound less monotone, even though I think my mic cuts a lot of that out and makes me sound pretty nasal at times. I just beat the Gaping Dragon, so expect more liveliness after that. 2059

Gaming / Re: Dark Souls Ninja Run (with voice)« on: June 25, 2017, 02:59:20 PM »i didn't just have me in mind with my suggestion, mind youTrue. I'm going hard on the trivia but try to keep actual spoilers to a minimum. I'm also not looking to make an actual walkthrough or series for new players. If anything, it's more aimed at more experienced players who'd be interested in the little facts, tips and tricks. 2064

Gaming / Re: Dark Souls Ninja Run (with voice)« on: June 25, 2017, 11:41:44 AM »I think Verb has a point though. It sounds to me that he doesn't mind the tips, tricks or little trivia, but that he doesn't want any spoilers for things he hasn't done yet. I agree with him that I shouldn't have detailed how you can get back to fight the Stray Demon, so I'm not going to be doing that again, but I do hope he doesn't mind the kind of stuff I showed in my second video. After all, this is still the very start of the game, so I'd figure that anything other than "oh and this is where you get to come back for this story line and get to fight this boss right there" is alright.Next part is out.Don't listen to Verbatim, go all out with the trivia/tips and tricks. It's interesting and keeps it fresh for those of us who have played this game to death. He should just finish the game already. The reason I'm asking about talking about all of this stuff is that I don't want to bore anyone. I had originally planned to do Burg + Blighttown + Taurus in this one video and now I already hit the 10 minute mark after only going through the first part of the Burg. I don't want to stop people from watching because they feel I ramble on too much about random stuff. I could've just said that there are shortcuts and then only show one as an example to save a minute or 2 instead of going over several of them. 2067
