I switch between 800 and 1600dpi depending on whether it's online or singleplayer. 13cm/360 (according to a calculator I found online), and accel varies from game to game.
That's crazy high, damn.

PC people, what settings do you run your mouse at?
Specifically (for shooters of course) your cm/360, DPI and acceleration, because that's what's most important.

What makes a mouse a gaming mouse?
Hight DPI?
Baby-toy lights?
13+ buttons?
A boob-waifu mouse pad?
High (or variable DPI), side button(s) and a good sensor. RGB lighting and others are a bonus, I'd say.

Half the reason I played Tone is because of how satisfying that kind of stuff is.

I have. You just said all arena shooters are trash.
Ok, you don't like arena shooters. Cool. I don't care. find an arena shooter that actually attempts to balance its weapons and doesn't have weapons with low skill gaps, and you've found yourself an arena shooter that isn't fucking garbage
i have reason to believe that quake is one of them
Well shit. Reading this before making my post could've saved me all that time I spent on my beautiful analogies.

otherwise arena shooters are ALL bad
Arena shooters are both objectively and literally the best kind of game though.
not if they're deliberately imbalanced and designed so that some weapons have lower skill gaps than others
Doesn't the same hold true for any game though? I don't care much about fighting games, but I think it's pretty well accepted that some characters just have higher potential and are harder to master than others. To my knowledge, a character like Fox has a notoriously high skill gap in SSBM because of the high number of techs, shines and whatnots you can do with him (and Falco), while others are far from easy to master and have their own unique techniques but have techs/movement that is less versatile, not as frame perfect, slower response, fewer buttons required... How high a skill gap/cap is can also be kind of subjective. Think Quake for example. What takes the most skill or is the hardest to master: rail gun, grenade launcher or lightning gun? The rail gun is the game's sniper rifle and requires you to hit fast moving and small targets with a single-shot beam that's a pixel wide. Imagine that your start button was randomly bouncing around on your screen and you had to whip your mouse at it and click in one quick motion. The grenade launcher shoots slow projectiles that bounce and move in an arc and have splash damage. It requires you to anticipate your opponent's movements and time / predict him and your grenade's trajectory perfectly. Imagine your start button moved around semi-randomly and you had to rapidly click where you'd expect it to be in 4 seconds. The lightning gun shoots a continuous beam of lightning that causes damage every game tick. You need to keep your aim on the opponent to take down his health as he tries to dodge your shots. Imagine that your start button was bouncing around the screen and you could only click it if you managed to keep your mouse perfectly on it and track its movement for 5 seconds in a row. It's pretty impossible to pick out one that is harder or easier than the others. (edit: nvm, seems like you already got that from your other post) Not interested in joining what you and Challenger are on about, but I think it's pretty hard to quantify how high the skill cap/gap is on some of these things, and that there being a difference in difficulty/accessibility of certain weapons or characters doesn't necessarily make the game unbalanced.

Maybe I'll do a video on Titanfall instead of Dark Souls for a change, see if anyone's interested in that.

People on PC really aren't used to much in this game. I've only played for like an hour and am using the default classes and titans.
For the amount of time I've see people talk about how complex TF is, the community is pretty sensitive.
Learn to use the Mastiff/ EPG/ Softball/ Cold War if you want to get fanmail. Don't use SMG shittery.
I don't know what any of those are, but I'll have a look.
Mastiff is a shotgun with wide horizontal but no vertical spread. EPG is an old arena shootrt style rocket launcher that requires considerable lead, Cold war is a 4-grenade burst gun that requires considerable lead + splash damage to kill and good use of the movement and softball is a sticky grenade launcher. All are projectile weapons and take a lot more skill to use than the shitscans like CAR or R-97.
Hm, I'll give them a shot when I unlock them. For the time being I want to hold on to my initial stats though. MVP 13/16 games and only one game out of the top 3 (joined late that game I think). I know it won't last but fun to keep the streak going for now. Reminds me of the time I had an average k/d of 36 in Halo 3 Team Doubles for the first day of playing it. Good times. Also, I know you're not a fan of "shitscans", but what are the best weapons for hipfire run-and-gun? I wanna give that a shot too. Alternator?

You really think I'm gonna patch a .xex file to run aimbot just to make a video out of it? Doing what? Ruining matchmaking? Yeah no. That's too low, even for me.
In case you haven't looked at my YouTube recently, I did say that I'm going to use my RGH offline mainly for playing around with mods and my machinima series, which because of my fucking job I lack the free time to completely work on it, hence its taking longer than it should.
At least a script is in the works.
Can't you make an offline video using something similar in campaign, or having another controller plugged in for an offline game? Would be interesting to see the flying around and whatnot too.
Eh, I could try, but I'd really have to dig for an aimbot patch let alone a .xex that has aimbot enabled and swap them in this case because I don't want to lose my current .xex
XboxChaos doesn't condone that kind of modding so that's out of the question. Se7ensins would probably have it if the links aren't dead.
What I did in my case was basically this
It unlocks all the Spartan and Elite armor by default, including for temporary profiles, and the campaign levels are all unlocked as well as all the skulls. No achievements though, just all the TSA checks are disabled, hence why Recon and Bungie are accessible as well.
Oh, I see.

Games? Not so much. Work stuff? All the time. I hit ctrl+s compulsively whenever I finish a sentence or so when writing papers and such.

balance means you could use any weapon and be perfectly fine with it
That's not really true though. Even in MLG gametypes, there were a pretty sizable number of perfectly viable weapons for different scenarios. BR, Mauler, Carbine, Sniper, Rockets, Plasma pistol, Plasma rifle and Magnum were all in just the MLG playlists and were all used. And aside from that, pretty much every other weapon was useful in one way or another too. This is just like how there's objectively better and more viable characters in fighting games as well. The BR is just a good baseline weapon. It's versatile and takes a lot skill to use. At long range, it'll get owned by the beam rifle and sniper rifle. At short range, it's useless against the shotgun, mauler, brute shot, hammer and energy sword. At close to medium range, the assault rifle puts up a fair fight and the needler is better in most instances. At mid range, it's challenged by the carbine and vastly outclassed by power weapons like the rocket launcher. The BR just puts everyone on equal footing from the start, removes the randomness of assault rifle duels, promotes higher skill and makes it so that you have a weapon that can at least do minor damage at longer ranges. You can take any weapon and do perfectly fine with it in the right circumstances. But that doesn't mean that the game is unbalanced when you run straight at your opponent with a shotgun and he takes you down well before you can get to him. It's like type weaknesses and strengths in pokemon.

Do people still play this game on PC?
I think you can still find the main (aka the good) playlists. Attrition and whatnot. But I asked /tfg/ and the one guy who responded said the active playerbase is less than half that of console.
Yeah, there's live trackers available on Reddit. Pretty concerning. I want to play it on PC but when the game is this empty, it really makes me reconsider.

The grab attack becomes a whole lot less funny if you pay attention to your humanity as they do it.
Also, Darkwraiths are objectively the best covenant and you're missing out on one of the game's best parts.

Hate the G502. Go for the SteelSeries Rival: https://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-Rival-Optical-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B0160USMW6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1499306460&sr=8-1&keywords=steelseries+rival
Looks basically the same as my current mouse.
Also, what's wrong with the G502?
I've owned the G502 for about half a year now. Great mouse, 0 complaints. Very accurate, versatile and highly customizable. I don't think it's that heavy either. Pretty sure I even added some weights to the center bit. Great build quality, nice braided cable, does everything I want it to and is very comfortable to use (for my hands and grip at least). I agree with all of the raving reviews and would absolutely recommend.
