The writer can say that Destiny isn't even getting started yet and that the real experience hasn't even begun all he want, but that doesn't change the fact that Destiny is a subpar and disappointing game at best. It's not the game that starts at level 20, it's the grinding that does. Putting hours into the boring and unimaginative PVP or playing the same missions over and over again on higher difficulties just to farm gear and experience that you can then eventually use in a raid.

Unless your family is somehow to blame (negligence, for example), doesn't it fall on the fiscus to make sure they don't just pay frauds? And if they made this mistake, couldn't they be held resposnible for this?
Not entirely sure what's going to happen to be honest.

I'm just going to watch it develop.
Just seems unlikely to me that the fiscus can just give money to the wrong person and get away with it. Even if said person committed fraud, it is still the government making the mistake.

"Yeah, we're terribly sorry for not actually making sure that the person claiming your tax returns was who he said he was, but you can suck it and lose out on quite a bit of money due to a mistake we made."

Not sure what it's like in the UK, but that wouldn't hold up over here unless your family was somehow at fault.

I could always send you mine in the mail for kicks.
You do not have to do that. =^.^=

Well, think about it. I won't ever touch the game again. I have nowhere I could really sell it to in the area, nobody to give it to.

In fact, maybe that's what I should do. Go through the games I'll never play again, put them up here, and folks who want them can give me their mailing adresses. Early christmas, courtesy os Sandtrap.
All those NSTC games break my heart.

Can't seem to use a controller with it.
You best be joking homie.
I can't use a keyboard for fps to save my life, also it doesn't work with my touch pad on my laptop.
Not to be rude, but Quake is unplayable with a controller. The game isn't your typical CoD or Battlefield, you won't get very far without precision aiming and a keyboard for movement.
Well guess I'm out when using my touch pad I can't look around and move at the same time, its either or, so precision aim is out of the question.
Is it like that playing other games too? It's a built in safety to prevent you from accidentally using the touchpad while typing. You can turn it off in control panel.
Yea its like that when playing any game on Steam, I can move whatever character I'm using, but I can't move my reticule around. Unless I'm standing still, if I had a moue then I could make do but a touch pad doesn't work well for that kind of stuff.
It shouldn't just be with games, it should occur every time you hold down a key on your keyboard and try to use the touchpad at the same time.

-Start
-Control Panel
-Mouse Properties

Then it's different depending on the type of laptop you have. For me it is:

-Device Settings
-Synaptics Clickpad - Settings
-Advanced
-Palm Tracking

Set the palm tracking slider to minimum. Palm tracking basically makes it so that you can't use the touchpad while typing so that you don't accidentally close a window or click somewhere you didn't mean to by sliding your palm over the touchpad. By setting this to minimum, you will be able to use your touchpad and keyboard at the same time. It's one of the first things I do on any new laptop.

Agreed. The price tag was too high and the first release was buggy and poorly handled. A real shame, as it was the next big project of the people who made one of my favorite games of all time (Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory).

If I had friends I'd play D&D. It sounds like a lot of fun drunk.
You know what's even more fun drunk? Playing the Tamagochi Board Game in Japanese (yes, it exists) without instructions. Played it for hours on end with a bunch of friends without having any clue how it worked.

Same here. One of my favorites to listen to while falling asleep has to be Jaakko Jarvinen. A rather unique Finnish guy who makes dozens of videos of himself playing video games or talking about the most random things in broken English. Anyone you particularly enjoy?

I mostly watch RPs because there's usually a lot of talking in them. Heather Feather has been on my sub list for a while.
Also...

Uhh....

I guess we have pretty different tastes, but to each his own. ;)

I actually liked the guy you linked.
Glad to hear that. Got anything that isn't Japanese? Even when falling asleep, I prefer listening to something that I can actually understand.

And yeah, some of his videos are rather... weird. Here's his current channel.

I don't into youtube aside communities aside from being slightly familiar with the big ASMR channels, so I don't know any of these drama atheist vlogger people.

Do you into ASMR?
Most ASMR is pretty unappealing tbh. Never got into the ones that try too hard.

Never played Quake, but I'm short on decent shooters. Being stuck with TF2 for over 900 hours gets monotonous.
It's a lot harder than TF2, but sounds like you've got a decent basis.

2 years pass, no real activity to note, and I am born, whatever the fuck was holding them back had completely claimed the 2nd floor, there was no way up because you were being pushed on every time you got to the stairs. my family noped the fuck out.
Doesn't it sound a little unlikely to you that a family unable to access their second floor because of an evil spirit spends two years doing absolutely nothing?

Not that the story is true, of course. Lol'd at the cereal bowl.

Quake Live is on Steam. And with the recent update to make the game a little more accessible and noobfriendly, none of you have any excuse not to play it.

Disagreed. Although malice aforethought holds different meanings in different legal systems, I do believe that especially in cases involving the killing of another human being, the notion should be interpreted sensu stricto. A killing should only be murder when the actual intent of taking a life is present.

That being said, I do agree that the punishment of drunken drivers who end up killing someone should be severe.

It isn't all that bad up here in good 'ol Montana. Walking into Albertsons the customers are made up of farmers, Hutterites, and townsfolk. Every once and while there's a whale that somehow made it's way inland. Thank god there isn't a self sustained population at this altitude.
This happened in an Albertson's.
Where were you in 'Merika anyway?
Towards the south of Montana.
Dammit we're becoming infected! I always wished the worst of America's woes would stay in the big cities, now it's here in Montana. Bunch of Bastards is who they is. Must be Billings.
Billings is pretty close actually.

I have to admit that this was nothing but a joking thread for the heck of it. Over the course of the past two years, I spent over 6 months in the US and am pleasantly surprised by most of the people I've met.
