It could have been worse, Bungie could have sided with EA.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if microtransactions for glimmer, crucible/vanguard points and gear would end up being a thing.

Do explain to me how I didn't know she was putting it up for adoption and why exactly we're dumb? It doesn't matter what she names it because her new parents can name her whatever the fuck they want.
That's why you're fucking dumb.
Here's to hoping that they do then. Plenty of parents don't change the name of the child they adopt, so little Isabeau isn't in the clear just yet.

"Isabeau"?
Poor child. I tried talking her out of it, but at the time, I didn't know she was putting it up for adoption. And apparently you didn't either.
Edit after entire thread was read: You guys are dumb.
Do explain to me how I didn't know she was putting it up for adoption and why exactly we're dumb?

Feeling a little less awake now, so I am going to try and get a few hours of sleep in before the long journey home. Thanks for the company guys, I'll check this thread once I get back in case anyone decided to ask or post something more. Cheers.

Flood headline: Woman abuses and violently throws cat as Ironman finds it "so adorable".

Plot twist: That dog lost it's two front legs to cancer.
Actual plot twist: that dog was abused and beaten to learn that trick. There's a video of it on youtube, I believe the dog's called Sushi.

- But on topic, did you get go to Williamsburg or Yorktown?
I was looking for the name Williamsburg actually, that's where the actual wedding took place. Can't think of the name but we stayed in some historic resort there for a few days. Didn't get to see much of Williamsburg itself though, I'm afraid.
Is that where you're from?
I wish.
I live in one of the seven deadly cities. Portsmouth, to be exact. It's wedged between Norfolk and Chesapeake. (A little of Suffolk as well)
The seven deadly cities? Haven't heard that name before.

Come to the east coast next time. We gotta party.
Where on the East Coast are you at? I've been to Virginia and NYC before, seemed like more my thing than Montana.
Pennsylvania.
If I ever end up in Pennsylvania, you better be expecting to hear from me.
Right on. I'll bring a case of Yuengling.
Yuengling's actually very decent, had it a few times over in Virginia as recommended by my girlfriend. And that's coming from someone who lives in Belgium, greatest beer country in the world.
Yuengling is love, Yuengling is life. I got to try it because I was doing tree work with muh pops. Apparently the guy who we were removing the trees for had some Yuengling and shared it with us. Makes me want to get one out of my fridge now.
Yay! The list grows from me and PSU to Me, PSU, Flee, and Ironman!
It's good to see Americans have some of their own quality but more affordable beers to enjoy. As in, most European beers that I've seen over here are ridiculously expensive. A glass of Stella Artois? Usually over 6$, compared to like 1.5€ at home.
Yeah, imports tend to be expensive here. Except for Molson... that's probably 'cause of NAFTA or something.
Gotta come visit and try some Belgian beers man.

Another possibility is immediate and forced admittance in a supermax security mental institution for the clinically insane upon seeing the pony shirt.

Virginia? Did you go anywhere near the southeast portion of it?
Not exactly, I was in and around Richmond for a wedding. Traveled around a bit and went to see some colonial parts a little more south, but that's about it.

Well, there are obviously some exceptions..
19/9/2014 - London
A doctor who told a patient to "go and jolly well an hero you brony piece of shit" has been suspended for three months.
The actions of Dr P. Sychologist., a GP in London, amounted to serious misconduct, the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) found.
He also told the morbidly obese male regularly clad in fedora he could look up how to kill himself dressed as Rainbow Dash on the internet.
Dr Sychologist was unaware that this man had recorded the conversation on his rainbow colored mobile phone. He did not attend the tribunal for the reason of "not wanting to come anywhere near these horsefucking degenerates".
The MPTS hearing in London heard that in September 2014 the man, referred to as Patient R. Dash, told Dr Sychologist he felt like changing his name and having his gendered officially changed to "ponykin" as his anti-depressant medication was not working.
Dr Sychologist told him words to the effect that he should go home and kill himself wearing a full body pony skinsuit, the hearing heard and found "totally unacceptable".
MPTS panel chair Eileen Carr said while Dr Sychologist medical treatment of Patient R. Dash had not been called into question, his comments to a patient with a history of mental health concerns and an obsession with the children's show "my little pony" were "totally unacceptable and inappropriate".
She said: "The panel finds his conduct fell well below the standards expected of a medical practitioner and is satisfied that his behaviour amounts to serious misconduct."
The panel was disappointed it had not heard from Dr Sychologist during its proceedings, with no evidence of an apology, insight or remediation other than an extreme disdain of these so-called "horsefuckers".

"You can go and jolly well do it now."
Quite the way of saying it, too.
inb4 Mr P ends up saying the same thing to someone walking in his office with a my little pony shirt

Come to Oklahoma! We're so conservative you'll vomit!
Any examples of that extreme conservatism?
Tattoos weren't legal until 2006
That's pretty fucking conservative right there. I didn't even know they were ever banned anywhere in the US, at least not in the last century.

Apparently the "no" crowd is leading by 45k votes so far.
Fuck... no Scottish invasion for me..
Still not even half of all votes counted though. Predictions say that "no" will win by a small margin, but it could still go either way.

How does it feel to be gasping your last breaths of Democracy knowing that you're about to return to an oppressive fascist government?

Show the world it has been lied to. Not all of us are fat, it's just that the land whale's increased mass attracts more light rendering everyone else invisible.
Definitely a lot more fat people than where I'm from though. The ridiculous stereotype of every American being fat and reliant on mobility scooters is far from true, but I see more (morbidly) obese people in the US in the average single day than in a couple of weeks at home.

So what'd you think of murrica?
Pretty neutral really. I've visited the US several times before and spent more than 6 months here over the course of the past 2 years. The politics, legal and social systems are broken as fuck and a lot of the times the country seems to be stuck in an ancient mindset, but I do always enjoy my time here. Although the American stereotypes of arrogance and ignorance seem to be true to some extent, most people are nice and rather forthcoming. I definitely would not want to live here, but the US definitely isn't such a bad place.

So as some of you know, I've been in the US for around two months. Passed all my classes, got the first part of my thesis done and finished my internship so I figured I had earned the time off to go spend the summer with my girlfriend. It's been a great time which unfortunately only makes leaving all that much more of a bitch, but I must admit that I do miss home and I am kinda glad to be going back.
I should be asleep right now since I'm getting up at 4am to catch my plane, but I'm wide awake. Hence this thread to pass the time and overcome boredom as I count down the hours. Talk to me Flood.
