I have absolutely no experience with most F2P PC games.
Good thing they're free so you can get some practice in then. :)

That's a movie reenactment, btw. Not an actual picture of the event.

Oh, is that required? That's a bummer.

Wait, can you play online at all without paying? I've only played a couple of practice games against the bots.
Yeah, you can play online for free. The only difference between a pro member (3€/month) and a normal member is that the pro one can create clans, has more extensive statistics and, most importantly, can create his own servers. We could still do a game night, but you'd have to find an empty unranked server for everyone to join and then just roll with the settings the host opted for.

Hosting your own server lets you customize the game's settings to an extreme extent, lock it with a password so that only invited players can join, and pick a location for the server to achieve optimal connection.

My pro membership just expired though, so I can't host any games myself. Probably going to renew it soon anyways.

No, I said good people that happen to be cops and are stuck.
"If they truly weren't (assholes), they wouldn't be police" and "I have admitted there are good people that are unfortunately officers" are direct contradictions.
Quote
It's a giant problem.
Not gonna argue about that, the US justice system isn't very admirable.

I have saluted good cops that refuse to follow unjust laws or respect the rights and freedoms of others and have admitted there are good people that are unfortunately officers
You're already contradicting yourself by saying that only assholes are cops while simultaneously claiming there's still decent cops and good people that are on the force.

I'm not really anti-police, I was even an armed guard before, I'm anti-abuse.
You say that, but generalizing comments like "If they truly weren't (assholes), they wouldn't be police" makes me think otherwise.

Septagon / Re: We Need Something That Encourages Thread Making
« on: October 07, 2014, 03:11:33 AM »
Instead of quantity, I think we should be focusing more on quality. I think it would be a great idea to have likes on posts count towards someone's title status. It would have to be made foolproof to avoid abuse, of course, but I rarely remember to give people a karma vote whereas I find myself constantly liking quality posts by quality users. Seems like it would be nice to have that contribute to one's forum rank.

So?
It's a nice change of pace from the recent increase in anti-police threads.

a depression is simply a prolonged recession.
Not necessarily a prolonged one, but a very severe one. If I recall correctly, a recession becomes a depression if the GDP drops by more than 10%.

I think it's generally accepted that morality does or did not require religion.

I'm afraid I never played Halo Wars. Never found RTS on console very appealing.

Haven't cared about a CoD campaign since MW2.
That's because MW2 had a damn good campaign.

Anarchy is a good and fun idea, but just like any other place on here, it cannot go without rules. Just like I said when the board first came around, expecting people in a community this small to leave what happens in Anarchy there does not work  Give people anonimity and no rules to abide by, and all the pent-up frustration from the normal boards rears its ugly head tenfold. People don't go into Anarchy "neutral", and they sure as hell don't came back that way.

Anarchy needs to be a place where people can shitpost without limits and freely post content that isn't always appropriate on the rest of the site. It shouldn't be the filthy corner of the forum where members call each other out and hide behind the mask of anonimity to gang up on people. We all know that some take the internet a tad more seriously than others and that "lol, this user followed me around on Anarchy and called out my every post with questions about my sexuality and the message that I should put an end to my pathetic life. Let bygones be bygones and casually pretend none of that happened back on the normal boards." isn't an attitude many will share.

Ironically, I would say that Anarchy needs its rules more than any other board on the forum.

The Flood / Re: What kind of keyboard do you have?
« on: October 06, 2014, 06:05:10 PM »
I don't know. It just seems that way. I guess I'm too used to QWERTY
No worries, I feel the exact same about QWERTY, even though I'm just as fluent with it. The reason behind the different lay-out can be found in different languages prioritizing different letters. It also makes writing things like §, è, ç, à, ï... a whole lot easier, as opposed to having to memorize alt codes for all of them. It's what makes it more efficient for Dutch and French, for example, while still not giving up any English functionality.

Law and legal matters. It's too late for me to go back to school and become a lawyer, though.
Too bad, I'm the only law person on here or Bnet, aside from Foman.

It seems we'll never know how big gangs contribute, actually, nor would I ever trust the F.B.I. to have an accurate account.

http://usconservatives.about.com/od/capitalpunishment/a/Putting-Gun-Death-Statistics-In-Perspective.htm
>disagreeing with the official National Gang Center, an institution by the federal Department of Justice
>linking usconservatives.about.com instead

Camnator pls. When an institution of the DoJ brings forth the statistical fact that gang-related killings only make up a fraction of all the gun homicides in the US, you're going to have do a lot better than this to refute it.
