I always wanted to get into Mass Effect but couldn't get into the gameplay. Same with Witcher.

There's a few things I'm unconvinced by. One, that we're going to see such a response from Spain. Two, that guns would be anything but a detriment in this situation. Three, that the US federal government would go to war with a secceding state and its civilians. Four, that guns would help.

Well that sure is one less reason to get a PS4. Now we just need Bloodborne PC and I'm set.

I genuinely do wonder if anything will change about gun control laws now. Probably not, but we'll see.
If 20 school kids dying doesn't change it, don't expect random concert goers will
There's one key point of difference. If it turns out the weapons used were actually fully automatic or semis easily modified to perform as such, it'll cause a major blow to the "pro assault rifle" argument. This guy wasn't some mentally ill kid who stole his mom's gun. He passed background checks, collected an entire arsenal and (perhaps) used fully automatic weapons for the first time in decades. As I said, I don't expect anything to happen. But these are different circumstances and if some of the current reports turn out to be true, the weapons that were used and how they were obtained could do a lot to change public opinion and counter the "no point in targeting 'assault weapons'" or "stricter background checks / ownership limitations wouldn't help" talking points. Unlikely, yes, especially considering that 20 dead kids didn't really change anything, but these are different circumstances from most mass shootings.

Verb. It's not too late to redeem yourself. You can still catch a Dratini at Dragon's Den. 40% chance of a Dratini / Dragonair when fishing with a super rod.

This is why bad stuff happened to you and you deserve it all.
Charizard was always the better dragon, fight me.

I actually really love Dragonair, though. If Dragonair didn't go such a drastic change when it evolved, and retained its slender blue design in some way, I'd probably like Dragonite more, because it always looked kinda goofy to me.
wow

>multiscale
>total base stat of 600
>dragon type best type, puny fire is SHIT (2x resisted by dragon)
>electric, fire, dragon, water, flying, ice - Dragonite does it all both special and physical
>small wings for extreme mobility
>kind looking but fierce as a tiger
>what's that, you've got too much HP to die in a single move? HYPER BEAM bitch
>standing in water next to a lighthouse as a 90ft monster in the mist? Would love to see Charizard do this (oh wait he dies if water hits his tail lol)

Besides, you can't even get Charizard in this game, can you? Do what's right, Verb. Get that Dratini.

Just sent a formal query to the EU Commission asking to continuously project their values within the union and to condemn the use of violence here, regardless of the legality of the referendum. Not naive enough to think that it'll actually make a difference, but still.

committed by a white national
que?
"committed by a caucasian American"

Same meaning, but maybe you'll like it better?
White national means white supremacist.
national =/= nationalist just FYI
I'm aware.
That's okay. I forgive you for doubting me.
You could've worded it better. The sentence is very misleading.

Not sure what his nationality has got to do with anything regardless.
I agree that I could've worded it more carefully, but I don't think it's misleading. I didn't even consider the possible confusion until he pointed it out and didn't intend anything by it. I seriously hope no one thinks I meant to portray this dude as a supremacist.

I only mentioned the nationality in response to the Twitter guy bringing it up first. We live in a time where any one of these events is followed by a hunt to find out who the perpetrator is because of the current debate on migration and terrorism, so I think it's fair to point out the background of these people. Just like how we should be honest about immigrants committing crimes, we should also counteract the narrative of scapegoating foreigners when we have nationals doing the same thing.

And I just used the word national again without thinking about it. What word would be better?

It's pretty deceptive wording. I struggle to believe you didn't expect some confusion when you typed it.
I honestly didn't until you made that comment. I get the confusion, but didn't think twice that people would misunderstand me.

Man, people are throwing stats and country factfiles around like crazy on Twitter. Should change #GunControl to #AmericanControl.
This tag is a nightmare. So much shite going around. So many bloody idiots. Reading through a guy's comments whose bio states that he's an independent and non-racist or non-bigoted yet tweets right wing, racist and sexist shit. Just one day ago, he made gloating comments about the Canada attack and how it's caused by immigrants (5 people injured, 0 deaths without access to guns). The irony in him vehemently attacking gun control after an attack (58 dead, 500 injured with access to guns) committed by a white national clearly escapes him. Sad shit.

The BBC tells me that Nevada has one of the most (if not THE most) laxed gun laws, why? Not many shootings there to justify stricter laws, less guncrime, etc?
Long tradition, I suppose. Nevada has the right to bear arms enshrined in its state constitution and it definitely ranks up there in terms of gun violence.

What makes a killer a terrorist?
Depends on the definition. I'm pretty sure this counts as terrorism under US criminal law, but most require a certain intent.

How does one guy open fire on 250 people before he's killed/apprehended. Jesus what was he carrying around a mini-gun.
There's talk of it being more than just a semi-auto rifle, which would be extremely unusual but not impossible.

And it's not that hard to imagine. People had nowhere to hide and were stuck in a partially fenced area. The shooter had an excellent vantage point. Add onto that the loudness of the crowd and concert (many people took gunfire for fireworks in Vegas) and it can take minutes before everyone realizes what's going on.

Serious / Re: Espanoles son cabrones (Catalan Independence referundum)

The Spanish government had declared it illegal beforehand, meaning only the people who want independence will show up. They could have just used that to justify not accepting the results; but no, instead they send in the men in green to confiscate ballot boxes and beat the voters bloody. Regardless of whether Catalonia should or shouldn't gain independence (I'm not really informed enough on that to have an opinion), this just wasn't a good look for Spain and it won't help their case in the slightest.
Not only that, it's hurting the EU's case also, because they do not condemn violence and people can see they try to be like an empire and don't care in the slightest about nations independence. More Brexits are coming.
>EU is trying to be a controlling empire
>EU literally said it's an internal manner that it should leave to the country's autonomy

Hmm.

PC (GTX 1080, i7 7700k, 16gb RAM)

Asus VG248QE (144hz, 1ms, 24")
LG 29UM68-P (75hz, 5ms, ultrawide 29")
Sony Bravia (34" - hooked up to PC and cable TV)

Peripherals are Xbox 360 controller, Logitech G810 mechanical keyboard, G502 Proteus mouse, Sennheiser 360 Pro  headphones. Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PS3 are set up on the main TV in the living room.

Could do with some improvements (walls are still bare) but overall pretty satisfied with its current state.

Who was it that made the battlestation / gaming set-up thread?

Did you honestly believe Nintendo was going to fix their problem of artificial shortages?

Lol, is it really that hard to get in the US? It's just off the shelf here for €45.
I don't care much about Nintendo. I went to the store and they had them available for $49. Dude said that they were expecting shortages but didn't at all, so that's why I wondered. Can't say I'm surprised though.

Seriously though, what a heartbreaking read. Beedrill and Scyther are cool as fuck, so at least you've got those going for you.

Also, these games had some solid music. Red's theme is still the best piece of pokeman music.
