Well, not to be all paranoid and shit, but the US political system is extremely flawed. The whole "US is an oligarchy, not a democracy" thing comes to mind. The elections are such a populist and skewed thing where money plays such a large role that I honestly wouldn't be surprised if such corruption would come around. Then again, I don't think this whole requirement of being born in the US does much to prevent something like that from happening.

No, it's insane to think something like that should happen or be allowed to happen. Out of all your links, the only excusable one is where the father killed a man who was in the middle of molesting his daughter. The others are people exerting personal vengeance years after the facts. Despite the facebook support, they will not be released or acquitted.
I did not even suggest that they should. Personal vengeance and vigilantism should not be legal, but they are, in the eyes of myself and society at large, often justified.
I don't know what society you're associating with, but personal vengeance and vigilantism are not considered to be justified where I'm from.

Ask anyone on the street if a man killing his daughter's rapist is morally reprehensible. I guarantee you that most of them will say that it isn't.
