Going to be honest, except for gif and picture threads on bnet (which are enitrely fine), this is the first I'm hearing about anime spam threads.
Maybe that's what I'm thinking of, but before I actually joined and came to check out the place, I saw several threads that were nothing of people posting anime pics and gifs for page after page.

Good, another person who agrees that UN threads are spam. Class, TBlocks, and Korra get butthurt about that, you better watch out.
They're not bad though. I just think it's a little hypocritical to blame people for trying to get a custom nameplate in a thread like this, while supporting the UN threads, Legendary hangout and the anime spam threads of old. It's not as this thread is a bunch of people posting nothing but blank posts or nonsensical stuff for 40 pages straight. Some pretty good conversations going on here.

Besides, it's not as if this is any less "legit" of posts earned than the exact same thing happening in the legendary thread, the anime spam threads of old or the UN games. If this was just people posting dozens of blankposts by themselves, then sure. But a lot of what happened here was pretty genuine discussions and conversations.

That's not surprising. Most US states are pretty much vast fields of emptiness and have less population than NYC.
Large size is pretty helpful for an economy though. We're around the size of Hawaii, if I remember correctly.
