High action scenes in movies are actually bolstered by 60FPS a lot. Watched the Avengers at 60FPS a while back and that was really sweet to look at.
That's not exactly the same though. Avengers was shot at 24fps, so you're only seeing a version that's made to look like 60fps. It interpolates the missing frames.
