I agree. I'm listening into the test podcast right now and they just spent 3 minutes talking about frozen cream.

frack me.

Topics and news need to be chosen ahead of time so that it doesn't turn stale, which I believe will be the case next time (the topics chosen, not being stale). IDK, it's workable right now but not really all too interesting.

Yeah, this was just a test to make sure audio picked up, pick up voices, and just get used to talking with each other.
Is it available anywhere yet?

Nah, it's not going to be released. Like I said, this is just testing levels and making sure everyone gets picked up before we officially launch the first episode.
Got a release date you're aiming for?

It actually looks like a board. Thats better than what I was expecting.  I was expecting a giant turbine or something.
The 1cm height of hovering is pretty disappointing though.

I'm still not particularly interested in the whole podcast thing. Seems like the main reasons to listen to one is either because the people participating in it are in a position that is extremely interesting, or because they're very eloquent and well opionated. Unless this ends up taking an unexpected turn, I can't really see myself just listening to a bunch of other forum members just talk about stuff.

I've never listened to a podcast.
Ever.

Are they even popular still?
I still see the term pop up frequently, so I guess so. And I've listened to podcasts before, there just needs to be something interesting about them to get me to watch.
What there needs to be is personality. The peeps talking need to be engaging with whatever topic. Shit isn't a news article it's basically a radio show on the internet and it has to be entertaining while it informs you.
That's what I mean, you need people to actually know their shit. You need people who deal with something (semi-)professionally and actually have an uneducated opinion on something. That's the kind of stuff that makes people want to watch. I'm not particularly interested in taking 1-2 hours out of my day to just listen to random people talk about random topics. You need something special.

Recommendations?
Doesn't Bungie have one.......or something?
I listened to Bungie's podcast once. It was basically a 30 minute Destiny advertisement, would not recommend.

An Orgy with Jim, Door, Das, and Flee will only do.
I don't think Flee would come.
Oh, he'll come.
And you'll make sure of that, I assume?
Aw shit, looks like I missed something interesting in this thread.
Aw shit, son!
All the good stuff happens over night because of all the Americans here. By the time I wake up and get to posting, the forums are pretty dead. I've had it happen several times that the entire first page of posts was all replies by me.

How worth it would you say Google Music is, Max? It's all streaming, right?
It's both. You can upload 20k of your own songs for free to their servers, and stream them to your device(s) without a subscription. If you pay the $9.99, you can also stream music you don't own just like Spotify/Rdio/etc does.

I got in when GPM was just announced and did a introductory price of $7.99/mo if you signed up in the first 90 days or whatever. So that's a bonus for me, but I think I'd still use Google over Spotify, et al, if I were paying the usual $9.99
Thanks. I don't usually listen to a lot of music I don't have on my phone, but I might consider something like this.
The nice thing about uploading your stuff is that you don't have to waste your storage space on your phone with music. The only drawback is if you're traveling/flying/in an area with no reception/wifi then you can't stream the stuff you uploaded.
Yeah, that is the one issue I have with streaming music, having to rely on an internet connection. How much data would you say it uses?
You can choose music to save locally so you can still listen without an internet connection.
Now that does make it a lot more interesting. Infinite amount of limited quantity of music you can store locally?

This. That was actually a fantastic movie, as long as you do not mind reading subtitles and having the camera view be what the characters see.
It always boggled my mind how many people struggle with subtitles.
Same. I watch a lot of anime so it is no issue for me.
Grew up watching movies and shows with subtitles, so same here.

You forgot throwing in their own windows with a bottle attached to a rope.
