Funny how they don't go after the rich who more commonly evade taxes.
It's because they go about it a little smarter than just not paying.

Just leave it on overnight, see if that does anything. If not, I'm sure this bug will be fixed soon.

Apparently interrupting the download makes it lose progress.  I'd have to leave it on for a couple days to finish and that's probably not good to leave it on that long.
A few days? Damn.

Gaming / Re: Help with Skyrim!
« on: October 22, 2014, 08:07:16 AM »
Well, even if Skyrim is on rails. They do a bang up job hiding it compared to other games.
Not really. It's pretty damn easy to see when you're in a cave or a dungeon. It's either you enter one and there's an exist a ways down it or you take a secret tunnel back to the entrance. For those things you literally are walking on rials. There's no maze like designs to any of them to get you lost. You just fallow the one path you're on to the exit. Also for the rails thing I was talking about how the quests are setup. You have no choices in them to determine how they end.
The dungeon thing is especially disappionting. I remember seeing an interview where the devs talked about how each dungeon would be handcrafted to the smallest detail, instead of just copied like in Oblivion. Shame that the pinnacle of their creativity is a straight line with a loop here and there that takes you back to the entrance by means of a secret entrance.

News / Re: Project Oversight: Destiny, Part 1
« on: October 22, 2014, 07:20:27 AM »
So, I am going to propose something here.

I'm currently doing the write up for the next section of Destiny - originally aimed at covering PvP, Marty O'Donnell, and the Destiny community.

However, I'm going to be honest. Destiny's multiplayer is by far one of the most forgettable PvP experiences I have ever had the misfortune of playing, and that is translating to it coming off as poor in the writing. So, I am likely going to gloss over PvP for now and focus on more important issues for the game.

If anyone has concerns or would like me to cover PvP, let me know.
Yeah, the PVP was extremely forgettable and rather boring. I wouldn't mind you glossing over it.

Has there been an anime on every possible scenario ever?
Has every possible storyline been covered in fiction throughout history?
I would think not. But the imagination behind anime is pretty... impressive.

No, but the god he's fighting has something similar.

For me it depends on how it's done. If it's something like AVGN or Nerd 3 I can watch them all day, but when it comes down to regular playing I find them boring. When there's no difference between the way they're playing and me I might as well play the game.
The key difference in this case is skill level. You're watching professional gamers.
Skill level or not they're still doing the same thing that I'm able to do if I have the same game. It's a little different for sports, but when it comes down to video games it's hardly a difference. Someone playing MLG in Halo is no different than me playing online.
Why is it different from sports?
It depends on how you do it. Playing something football or baseball in your yard would be a little different if you don't have the same size field and setup. The other thing would be the rules. If you're playing with a group of people you might not be going by the same type of rules that they do. You might even go by your own.
But hypothetically speaking, what if you had a full-sized private football field in your yard and a bunch of friends ready to play by the same rules. Would you still say "hey guys, superbowl finals are about to start. Wanna go out and play ball ourselves instead"?

And even if you would say yes, sometimes you just don't feel like playing. Sometimes you'd just prefer watching something you like from the comfort of your couch or even in an actual stadium with friends. Same goes for this.

Replace football with any sport you care about, of course.

Why?
Why what?
Why do all those people go to watch a group of people sit at computers playing video game sin a large stadium.... the frack!?
because the gameplay, and level that these people are at is insanely high. Why do people watch a bunch of people kicking a ball around in a stadium either?
This. In response to Commando, it's no different from choosing to watch a football game on TV rather than go play it yourself at the same time. It's impressive to watch.

I wouldn't know about this game, but I'd go watch people play Quake if I have the chance. It's not very different from a sports match.
