And the same goes for everyone in this thread. If we can't keep the hostility towards any user here to a minimum, there's going to be a lock and some warnings.

No personal attacks. You've been warned (and banned) for this exact same reason before. Knock it off.

It is a fundamental human right, as accepted and guaranteed by several international treaties on human rights which I've linked dozens of times before.

Brief reminder that NSFW includes more than downright porn. Anything you wouldn't want to be seen with in public, in school or at work counts. If it's questionable, spoiler it.

Gaming / Re: Halo 5's Rocket Launcher« on: December 27, 2014, 06:25:12 AM »Are you really equating the actual advancement of military technologies in real life with a video game set in a fictional and future sci-fi universe? "Oh yeah, we have to completely get rid of some of our most iconic design elements because otherwise we wouldn't be like real militaries changing their designs, despite this being a video game set in a completely fictional world."Dammit 343, the original Rocket Launcher looked awesome. So did the M4 Sherman. Why did the military replace that with the tanks we have today? They should have kept them because of how iconic they are. It's a video game. If something looks good and is loved by thousands of fans, you don't have to change it because of petty reasons like "but real life designs change too, so we have no choice but to do the same". It's your own game and franchise. There is absolutely nothing wrong with sacrificing the ideals of being as realistic as possible for design purposes, and only sticking to minor changes. 11092

The Flood / Re: What makes a contract?« on: December 26, 2014, 11:22:15 AM »
Depends on the kind of contract. The conditions a sale-purchase contract has to meet are obviously different from a leasing one, for example. Generally speaking, though, the following conditions are part of each contract:
- Full and actual agreement between parties (no duress, no deception, no mistakes, ...) - Capable parties (no minors / mentally handicapped...) - The object the contract applies to needs to be determined and be legal ("you will give me stuff" is too vague, for example, and you can't have a contract on things that aren't legal, such as human trafficking or the sale of organs) - The contract needs a legal cause (the reason behind the contract and the duties of the contractual parties) |
