I still check B.net every so often and I must say that I'm genuinely amazed by how fast the place went to utter shit.

On that note, anyone got a good horror movie suggestion for me to get through this night?

Most of you. You all have my respect until you do something to lose it.

Can you mute mods?
Nope. Reason for this being that giving verbal warnings and just trying to talk to people is almost always the first course of action we take. It's only when someone's blatantly breaking one of the strict rules that we warn straight away. Allowing for people to mute us would create a lot of issues that way.

Besides, why would anyone want to mute me and shut out my sparkling personality and charm?
That was a rhetorical question and all you've just done is post the long version of what I was saying.
Good job, I couldn't be bothered typing that.
I know, I was just explaining it on the off chance that there were other people here who didn't know we did that.

Well this thread escalated quickly.
I think that was the plan.
I know, it was all a clever scheme devised by Nexus to get his Legendary rank.

If you feel like an adult, you also feel like behaving like one too?
I see where this is going and I don't approve.

I just download my stuff. Netflix here isn't that great, and why stream when I can keep it?

The Flood / Re: Does anyone else have a problem with following rules?
« on: January 14, 2015, 02:14:47 AM »
So I think I have an idea of what anarchy time is now. It's basically a time where everyone doesn't have to abide by any rules, except the ones of the united states law. So basically everyone is saying they're sorry to me in advance because they're all going to try to rip me to shreds? That's not very cool :(
I'm sure you'll be fine. Either way, Anarchy is a separate board that you have to apply for. No one's forcing you to get in there, and there's several other members who don't see the appeal and they stay away from the place.

There's not a ban or warn quota or anything...
You're telling me I don't have to ban at least 3 people a day to keep my mod position?

The Flood / Re: WOW ORDER NOW
« on: January 13, 2015, 04:50:31 PM »
Better go ask your mom for her credit card kids, this offer is too good to miss. Better yet, just sneak it out of her purse and order a medal for everyone in the family!

Also, the "check the rules" link at the bottom left of each page is broken. The URL misses a : and now links to a dead page.

10605
Also, as has been suggested before, I feel like being lite-banned ought to affect your rank to some degree as well. Do with this what you will.
I disagree with the first part of your posts for the reasons that Cheat mentioned, but this part seems like a good idea.

Can't say I relate to that. Have you ever considered talking to a professional about this?

Let me refer all of you interested in discussing this further to Raptor's first article in News. If Raptor is willing, this could probably become a regular thing and mark the return of the WW2 and military history threads he was well known for back on B.old.

If we didn't discuss politics at all I probably would've liked him a lot more.
Same here actually. Regardless, I liked him a lot better on here than back on B.net.

Gaming / Re: I want to write gaming reviews
« on: January 13, 2015, 02:39:22 PM »
Would you be interested in writing them for sep7agon? We're always looking for new content creators and if your reviews are good, you'd be more than welcome to become an "official" contributor and have them featured on the front page, along with getting a fancy title to go with it.
Yeah, that would be great. I'm interested in doing that.
Great. You should send Brute or Isara a PM, they're more or less in charge of the user content and can work out the details with you. Raptor just started writing articles for us too, and you can find his latest contribution in News and featured on the front page.

Before the inevitable accusations of modbias and modabuse start coming in, I'll go over the recent events involving PSU real quick.

PSU made a thread calling someone out.
His thread was locked by a mod, as it was breaking the rules.
PSU ignored this and went on to make a second, similar thread.
For this thread, he received a mild formal warning.
PSU ignored this and went on to make several more threads in rapid succession, calling out the mods and two more users.
As this is not only borderline spam but also breaks the rules he was warned for not even 10 minutes prior, he received a lite-ban for a mere single day.

I'm surprised he's choosing to leave over this, but it's his choice.

De Morgen.
Le Soir.
Al Jazeera.
BBC.
NY Times.

Oh come on, nobody else picked up on "water sports"?

Turn around and walk out of the tunnel.

There is no escape from the tunnel. Light filters down from a few narrow cracks, but you are sealed in.
Well, if there's no escape, I'd might as well just walk forward.

Gaming / Re: Would you play a remake of Diamond/Pearl?
« on: January 13, 2015, 09:10:24 AM »
Is it going to happen? Probably, the series is a massive cash cow and there's enough people out there who'd buy anything with the name "pokemon" slapped on it to make it worth their while.

Would I buy it? Nope.
