Carry on my wayward son...
The only Kansas song more overplayed than Wayward Son is Dust in the Wind.

subjective subject is subjective
Subjective or not, I've seen bands of teenagers that can write more intricate and passionate songs than them. That's  talent, not riding off a legacy and a reputation as "the best", which is all the Beatles have going for them anymore.
They may have done some shit first, but the were far from doing it the best it could be done.

c'mon  there has to be a reason their so popular eh?
Because they were the first in a wave of revolutionary for the time pop rock music that inspired millions of people to do the same around fifty years ago.
The influence and legacy is undeniable, but their music is pretty fucking shitty. If it's not made for radio pop rock then it's overly abstract and shitty 60's stoner music, and neither of those is any good.

No idea what it'll be used for, but I don't intend to make it a public nameplate. It'll serve as a reward one way or another.
What was that black spotted one you were sporting a few days ago?

<.<

For you maybe, but Reach was literally perfection (for me). I'd have still been playing the shit out of it if 343 didn't do that bloody TU. [axe to grind intensifies] Halp 4 was meh, not bad but just ehhhhh. As much as I begrudge them for ruining my favourite game, they did shove me out of Halo and into Battlefield and for that I am somewhat grateful >.>

Now I'm the Colonel incarnate, complete with game defying immunity to things that should just plain kill me .-.
Although I chalk the ability to bounce tank rounds off my sternum down to DICE's shitty netcode lol.
From what I remember of Bad Co's online, shit was pretty funny 'cause of Dice's shitty work.

The military needs to be a lot smaller. There are a ton of people who want that, so you can win with those views, just not in the rigged system we currently have.
Not when you're trying to get redneck voters to vote for you.

Those are things a lot of people agreed with though, but the media shut him out so that fewer people were able to see his message.
>republican
>anti big military
Never gonna win a primary like that.

He actually had a decent chance at winning the Republican nomination, because he was the only intelligent and logical candidate. The media rigs elections though and intentionally screwed him over.
Greengritch was more popular than him... Paul can never win a Republican ticket because he doesn't believe in massive military intervention in foreign nations.

Journey is always amazing.

Spoiler
Lying beside you
Here in the dark
Feeling your heartbeat with mine
Softly you whisper
You're so sincere
How could our love be so blind
We sailed on together
We drifted apart
And here you are
By my side

So now I come to you
With open arms
Nothing to hide
Believe what I say
So here I am
With open arms
Hoping you'll see
What your love means to me
Open arms

Living without you
Living alone
This empty house seems so cold
Wanting to hold you
Wanting you near
How much I wanted you home

But now that you've come back
Turned night into day
I need you to stay

So now I come to you
With open arms
Nothing to hide
Believe what I say
So here I am
With open arms
Hoping you'll see
What your love means to me
Open arms
JUST A SMALL TOWN GIRL

The really preachy stuff or songs that just quote bible verses (expecially fucking Corinthians, I hate that fucking verse at every fucking wedding...) gets annoying, but I can definitely recognize the talent of many  CCM artists.
Casting Crowns ain't bad. Jamie Grace is actually pretty good. Skillet's pretty fucking cool. Scott Stapp is the fucking shit.

Kinda feels weird saying that as someone who finds organized religion to be... well, kinda dumb. No offense.

Really hard to just pick one of Brian Fallon's songs...
Spoiler
So the ambulances came
They took your pulse and packed up your things
And the papers read
Some boys forget what the heart it brings
And the pounding in the street
Was your heart in four four time
And the taste of defeat
Was was never too far from your mind

And Maria came from Nashville with a suitcase in her hand
I always kinda sorta wished I looked like Elvis
And in my head there's all these classic cars
And outlaw cowboy bands
I always kinda sorta wish I'm someone else

So gravity came
And stole the temple that the schoolboys praised
And the crowd shuffled in
You're getting drinks for the same boys
Who once bought you everything
And the powder on the bar
Was just this one time
The powder on the bar
Was just this one night
Only to get by

And Maria came from Nashville with a suitcase in her hand
I always kinda sorta wished I looked like Elvis
And in my head there's all these classic cars
And outlaw cowboy bands
I always kinda sorta wish I'm someone else

There were Southern accents
On the radio
As I drove home
And at night I wake up with the sheets soaking wet
It's a pretty good song
Maybe you know the rest
Maybe you know the rest

And Maria came from Nashville with a suitcase in her hand
Always kinda sorta wished I looked like Elvis
And in my head there's all these classic cars
And outlaw cowboy bands
I always kinda sorta wish I'm someone else

When our boots they hit the ground
They made a high and lonesome sound
When our boots they hit the ground
They made a high and lonesome sound
When our boots they hit the ground
They made a high and lonesome sound
When our boots they hit the ground
Down from the clouds
They made a high and lonesome sound
