Damn, who knew every game with a sword is a hack n slash?
Tangent: Can anyone recommend a laptop that can play DkS 1? As small & inexpensive as possible. Going on deployment in a few months and need my fix.
I don't consider every game with a sword a "hack n slash", just those where a lot of time spent is slashing at enemies with ridiculous health bars.

Dark Souls
Okay... it's an RPG Hack n Slash.
So in Dark Souls, do you spend time slashing away with a sword at a boss with tonnes of health?
Dark Souls is slower and more methodical, you cant just spam attacks.
If you strip it down like that you wont know the difference if you dont play it.
The Bosses have giant health bars tho? Then again, I haven't played Dark Souls before.

Still, I could make out most of it. Pretty sweet controllers and the pin looks authentic.
Yeah my phone camera is meh, Halo 3 controller is my favourite. I bought the Bungie Foundation Pin of their website, cause of a Destiny emblem that came with it, lol.
