Good games, GTG.

I got rekt quite a bit, from when we last played ad now, I assume you're best on 3DS and I'm on Wii U.

That was fun though.
GGs

This is actually our first time playing lol but man I wish I had a Wii U ): I had fun as well

I still have yet to play Simseo, but he's a strong player in every game I've played him in. I guess we'll find out who's the best in the 3DS tournament, if it happens.
Uhhh... I swore I played you on the Wii U version. Am I mixing you up for a similar name? I'm pretty sure the other guy I beat in two matches in the previous Wii U tournament.
You kind of remind me of one of those people I encounter on For Glory, play a couple matches and either:
a) ruthlessly try and beat them, getting more and more salty and internally screaming slightly more after each beating or
b) move on with my life.

You're an amazing player.
Goddamn that aerial game.

EDIT: I have no clue why, but I mixed you up with ChaosMetalDragon for some reason  :-\
Kinda weird.

EDIT 2: Heck, I don't even think we'd need a 3DS tournament to crown you "3DS Smash Master" if I've already gotten the Smash Master title.

What character(s) are your best and which are your worst, why? Samus and King DeeDee
What are your strengths AND weaknesses? I'm relentless. I don't use tactics.
What's your favorite level, why? Um, Final Destination.
What is your favorite move? Samus's final smash is cool.
What are your tips for n00bs? Avoid attacks. All the time.

I'm okay with Samus but I haven't even dared to try King DeeDee...

What's the best way to avoid attacks then?
Dodging. A lot.
Jump over projectiles too. It can render a lot of TBlocks moves almost useless when I'm playing the right character.

(I'll talk SSB4 strictly for this)
What character(s) are your best and which are your worst, why?
Best: Link, Zelda, Little Mac. Worst: Ness, Bowser, Luigi
What are your strengths AND weaknesses?
Strengths: Dodging and timing attacks have always been pretty good for me. Weaknesses: Gimping and/or anything to do with ledges. I suck with edge guarding.
What's your favorite level, why?
Final Destination when not on Omega. With Omega Onett it my favorite.
What is your favorite move?
I've always loved Link's Down A
What are your tips for n00bs?
Try a lot of characters to find the one you're best at and keep an open mind.
You never said why you do awesome or suck with your characters!

Oh good point! I mainly suck because I originally played smash on the N64 and never really played GameCube as a kid so I had to get adjusted to the controls, and character wise I suck with super quick ones like falcon and lucaria mainly because I usually end up dashing myself off the stage.
I'm good at avoiding attacks and have mastered dodging and  juggling my opponents in the air.

Hmm... Maybe you should try using one of the Fire Emblem swordsman. Maybe Marth or Roy in Melee/PM.. They can juggle pretty well, aren't too fast, and have pretty good range. I'm not sure about that last one, I haven't played the previous games recently due to Smash 4 and Marth and Lucina have worse range in the new ones.

Oh boy, this is a doozy.

What character(s) are your best and which are your worst, why?

Spoiler
Smash 4:

Best: Ness, Mewtwo, Villager and Jigglypuff atm.

Worst: Rosaluma, Samus, either of the Pits.

Brawl (PM too):

Best: Lucas, Lucas, R.O.B, Lucas, Olimar and Lucas.

Worst: No one really. There were just characters I rekt with, characters I played, and characters I didn't.

Melee:

Best: Pichu, Fox, Jigglypuff

Worst: Goddamn lanky off-proportion DKC cartoon DK, Kirby.

(I didn't really play Smash 64 so I guess Ness most likely)

What are your strengths AND weaknesses?

Spoiler
Strengths: Edgeguarding in Smash 4, zoning, timing, and grabs.

WeakNESSes: Dashdancing (not my fault I don't want to break my circle pad or whatever >_>), utilizing tilts, Ness puns.
What's your favorite level, why?

Spoiler
Smash 4:

Most omega stages because FD.
For non-omega:
- Onett because Mother and Smash Bros are tied for my favourite video game series.
- Woolly World because of the atmosphere and cuteNESS.
- Animal Crossing Stages because hooray legal stages and I love Amunal Carsung
- Mario Galaxy, Pyrosphere, Gamer, and Mario Circuit 8 because atmosphere.

EDIT: and quite a few 3DS stages. My favourite is Magicant because... You know why.

Brawl (PM too):

- Final Destination because FD
- New Pork City because Mother 3 music and atmosphere and "because Mother and Smash Bros are tied for my favourite video game series."
- Pirate Ship and Spear Pillar because of semi-nostalgic memories of these cut stages.

Melee:

- FD.
- Fountain of Dreams because atmosphere.
- Onett and Fourside "because Mother and Smash Bros are tied for my favourite video game series."
- Poke Floats because AMAZING.

(Smash 64 Saffron City/10)

What is your favorite move?

Spoiler
PK THUNDER!!! WOAH!!!

(Most PSI moves and Villager's Pocket)

What are your tips for n00bs?

Spoiler
Same as TBlocks,

Dear Lord how much longer will this tourney go on
I have no idea.
I have an idea.
Let's wait until the online tourneys feature comes out.
This will become way easier.
I'd expect that in the June patch maybe.

I got Smash today. I've had it on 3DS since launch, can I still download him?
Nope, the Club Nintendo registration period ended March 31st.

You can buy him for $4 on one version or $5 for both versions on April 28th though.

I don't see why they'd add files in an update for something the wouldn't make.

You forgot his Nair. It's good for reading rolls or just as a way to accumulate damage.

GODAMMIT I FOROT NAIR.

It's a good combo/damage move that if used correctly, will make your opponent have a bad time.

Gaming / My Full Opinions on Mewtwo After Two Days of Playing.
« on: April 17, 2015, 06:53:58 AM »
Mid-tier.
He's a strong, slow character, who flies far and dies quickly (He's the second lightest character, after Jigglypuff, in fact).
Despite this flawed combination, Mewtwo is a really good in defense options.

First, his specials.
Shadow Ball: Main spacing tool. Takes a while to charge up but does having gimping/edgeguarding potential imo.

Teleport: A great recovery once you get used to it. Can also be used to reliably dodge attacks after enough practice.

Confusion: This is a huge asset against projectile based characters. It can temporarily stun the opponent, being a great combo starter. Also, this is a very good projectile reflector, as even almost a second after I used the move, it still reflected the attack. You can kinda also combo into this from a jab.

Disable: Garbage. At least from what I've seen of it. The trick to it is you need to have eye contact with the opponent, making it particularly hard to pull off against pretty much anything. The only good thing I can see here is you could get lucky and catch an opponent in this off of a Confusion, and you can combo it from a jab, if you're lucky, but that's about it.

Throws:
DThrow: Meh... It doesn't really combo into anything, I just use it a lot because I'm used to DThrowing with Ness.

BThrow: Probably his best throw. Can reliably kill at the edge of the stage at just past 100% typically does around 10% too.

FThrow: It looks cool and typically does 10%. Low knockback.

UThrow: About as strong as BThrow. Can be good for mindgames and K.O.s.

Aerials:

Fair: Definitely his best aerial. Low ending lag, high knockback, decent range.

Bair: Good range, good combo potential, that's all.

Dair: Nice meteor smash. Haven't explored it much apart from that.

Uair: same as Bair.

Smash Attacks:

Down Smash: Pretty good for edgeguarding. Sadly, it only attacks in the front.

Side Smash
: Great knockback, great range, great damage output.

Up Smash: Hard to hit most of the time on the ground but catching an opponent in the air, and their damage is around 80% or up is dead.

Other:

-Down Tilt and Up Tilt are good combo starters.
-Shadow Ball doesn't hit unless you shoot it anymore. :(
-He has a really quick roll.

Probably more to be added.

Gaming / Re: So Mewtwo is out

I've seen really mixed opinions about Mewtwo on the web. He's my temporary main until Lucas, but I like him enough that I won't drop him from my list of mains, let alone stop playing him.

But, if I have one big problem with him, it's that down special, Disable. I swear you'd have an easier time carrying a loaded gun into an airport, firing and getting away than hitting that move off safely.

(For clarification, I think he's underrated compared to what most of Smashboards thinks.)

Gaming / Re: The most annoying characters in video games
« on: April 16, 2015, 09:50:51 PM »
Believe it or not, it actually takes a lot for a character to annoy me.

That said, Barry was the worst rival ever.

what was wrong with him
Mmm, to me he seemed... hyperactive.
I mean, seriously. His first line:
Quote
"There you are! Hey, <player>! Did you just see the TV? Sure you did! Prof. Rowan's that really important guy who studies Pokémon, right? That means he must have lots and lots of Pokémon. So, if we ask him, I bet he'd give us some Pokémon! Oh, hey! Is this a new PC?! Uh... Where was I? Oh, right, right! We're going to go see Prof. Rowan and get some Pokémon. I'll be waiting outside. Ok, <player>? If you're late, I'm fining you 10 million!"

I always read his lines like he talked 10 times faster than anyone I know and he seemed really annoying to me. I partly can't explain why.
