It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Never understood the obsession with this show. The only good one I remember was when they went to a waterpark and Danny DeVito pretened he had AIDS/HIV to bypass all of the lines or some shit.

Other than that? Eh.
I like the show but it’s definitely an acquired taste, and some of the humor that’s more prominent in later seasons does absolutely nothing for me. I’m surprised how mainstream the show became.

Just found out that two and a half men and the big bang theory have the same creator. Wow!

I’ll admit the episodes I was watching, which prompted this thread, were from the season right before Charlie sheen’s breakdown, so that might be the problem

I get that “““humor””” is subjective, but two and a half men makes the Big Bang theory look like a masterpiece in my humble opinion.

never worn either

i think i always associated converse with “alt girls” from middle school and vans were the less socially acceptable skateboard shoe in middle school.

no disrespect, that’s just how things were at my middle school.

I'm thinking about moving to Ohio possibility? Stuff I'd need to know?
Coming from shitty ass florida
well it seems like almost everyone here either wants to move or has moved to florida, if that tells you anything.

be prepared for the cold, because apparently that's a problem for a lot of people.

the cost of living is really low here.

there's going to be a $1 million lottery for people that have gotten vaccinated with 5 winners

The Flood / Re: How have you changed since Sep7 began?

A lot has changed, and very little has.

- I had just transferred schools and declared as a meme major in fall 2014, and managed to graduate in 2018.

- I had just started a job setting up for banquets at a nearby lodge, which I stayed at for over 3 years. Now I'm working as a business analyst for an energy company. My first couple years after graduation were rocky, to say the least, and this is the first job I've had since then that's stable and pays decent. It's only a contract position though, and to my understanding it's unlikely that I'll be offered a full-time position.

- I've never lived outside of Ohio, and don't really intend to unless I need to for work.

- My weight's stayed between 165-175 lbs throughout all these years. I've been into fitness all this time, but only consistently enough to maintain roughly the same body composition. I'd like to stick with it and get yoked before I get into my 30's, and it likely becomes harder, but we'll see.

Spoiler
I hate to be the one to break the streak, but the only picture I have of myself from early sep7-era is the most unflattering pic of myself that I must have taken by accident; which somehow popped up in my gallery when I got a new iphone.

The Flood / Re: Happy Post Nut Depression Day
« on: May 04, 2021, 12:46:25 PM »
Also, post nut clarity is just that, clarity. What you two are describing is post nut depression and you should seek help to work through whatever is up with you.
was going to say this

not sure what dahuterschuter meant, but “post-nut clarity” (as I’ve always understood it) means a more rational mindset about something compared to pre-nut. e.g. sliding into a someone’s DMs, and then post-nut realizing you should not have.

post-nut depression is something I’ve always heard people on the internet talking about but not something I’ve ever experienced. So I’ve never really understood it.

looking at my poorly performing stonk portfolio and then realizing that if I had just dumped all my money into memecoin a couple months ago I’d be a millionaire

hurts just a little bit

If you had been willing to dump all your money into a memecoin, you wouldn't stay a millionaire for long
this is true

I only watched the first episode and have always thought I need to revisit it (I’m just really uncommitted to tv shows).

I’ve heard pretty much overwhelming praise for the series by fans.

Serious / Re: How ya hangin' in there Americans?
« on: April 22, 2021, 11:00:58 PM »
The country's not been doing so great but I, personally, have been relatively unaffected by everything you listed (except COVID).

I managed to get the J&J vaccine a couple weeks ago. It seems like we're reaching the point where pretty much everyone that actually wants to get the vaccine has got it by now in my area, so I'm starting to be less cautious. Although hardly anyone around here has ever really taken it that seriously, quite frankly, compared to what I heard going on in other countries. Thankfully I never got the virus or lost anyone very close to it.

Seems like the riots have cooled down since last summer. There was a police shooting of a teenage girl in Columbus a couple days ago, and to my knowledge there were no riots. Obviously they won't be gone long if nothing changes.

Not sure what you mean by terrorist attacks, unless you're talking about the mass shootings. Although it doesn't sound like they've been political. I guess a "gun grab" is inevitable at this point, but I'm not sure how interested Biden is in pursuing one at this time. I've considered buying an AR-15 before they inevitably become outlawed but I'm not sure that I will.
