Stop feeding verb
Well, I haven't seen him blatantly trolling since b.net, so I'm assuming that he's serious.
He's being facetious, or he's actually retarded.
I dunno. I could see it going either way.

Americans don't have Thanksgiving for a while, of course, since we're in a different time zone.

Well, that's the thing, comedy's highly subjective.
i'd appreciate not getting lectures on subjects i know very much about thank you
still, none of this is answering the question
just because something is """subjective""" does not mean that i can't question why something is funny and get a more in-depth answer than "because it's ironic"
why is that specific example of irony considered funny to some people
Well, Mr. I-know-very-much-about-comedy-thank-you, I'm starting to wonder why you're the one asking the questions in the first place. What I know is that the unexpected is at the heart of all comedy. I don't know why people enjoy it, but they do, and Challenger's post has that. You can't argue against something you don't like just by saying, "why does anyone like this?", 'cause you could keep asking "why?" to each successive question like a two year old. You weren't looking for a psych 101 lesson, though, you were looking for what redeeming value this joke could possibly have. I told why it meets all the qualifications for being a joke, but I guess it was a mistake to answer the questions of someone who I should've known is an expert. So, please, Verbatim, tell me what you don't like about the joke. And remember, just repeating that it isn't even a joke isn't an answer, since we've covered that ground already.

I was a big Bane fan before the memes. I have the full Knightfall collection in paperback and I love it. It's so 90s.
I always hated the Knightsend cover though. Looks so dumb.
Yeah, comics Bane is pretty cool. A lot of the best Batman villains mirror the Dark Knight himself, but have some fatal flaw that makes them the villain while Bats is the hero. Bane's neat because he's possibly the only big-time villain who matches Batman both physically and mentally, but he's also hotheaded and dependent on Venom. The Dark Knight Rises kinda negates that, though, with its always cool-and-collected Bane.
Tbh Knightfall Bane was a bit of a coward. He waited until Bruce was super exhausted before fighting him. Even then he needed the Venom to break him. He's smart yeah but their fight wasn't great in that story...
I don't really remember it that well, to be honest, so I might not be able to criticize Knightfall very honestly. I do remember Bane being kind of arrogant and excessive, though, hence the whole back-breaking affair.

Look at all that plot
haha, PLOT! I GET IT!
IT'S BECAUSE YOU ACTUALLY MEAN FAN-SERVICE! LOL
why is that a joke
Explaining a joke and intentionally overreacting to it isn't really a good argument against it. Comedy's highly subjective, but it's usually something that defies expectations either because it's ironic or it's absurd. challengerX sarcastically talking about the plot when he means fan-service is ironic, and even though you might not find it funny, that's funny to a lot of people.
thank you for taking three lines to not answer the question
How is that not answering the question? I literally said that Challenger's post is ironic, and people find that funny. That's the joke.
i find more humor in irony than any person on this website
but irony in itself is not funny, just like saying "poop" in itself is not funny
Well, that's the thing, comedy's highly subjective. There are definitely people who will think that saying "poop" randomly is funny, because it's absurd. Most of us have higher standards than that though, and realize that this is just a very low-effort appeal to absurdity. Irony can be similarly shallow and dull, but if you think about it, a lot of great acts have this at their core. The Colbert Report is funny, because he satirizes and exaggerates points of view that we're all familiar with. He mixes the familiar with the unfamiliar. Anti-jokes can be funny too, because they set us up for a pun, and then they deny our expectations with a very straight answer. That's irony.

Mine's Scarecrow. This probably comes as no surprise. What about you guys, though? Is it Joker, or are you not quite that basic? Is it some obscure guy like Firefly, or do you have a life?

Marco Rubio is shitting his pants cause he probably thinks the hurricane is some sort of North Korean weapon
Let's dispel with this fiction that Hurricane Mathew doesn't know what it's doing, it knows exactly what it's doing…

martin shkreli is a boss
It just makes sense that if there was one person in the Flood who felt that way, it would be you.
i mean, if you've listened to what he has to say, he's actually a pretty reasonable guy
dare i say brilliant
This is not the face of a man who deserves to be loved.
#NotAnArgument
I mean, yeah, but it's not untrue either.

First time I skimmed over the title, I thought this was a thread about superpowers, and now I'm a little disappointed.
But to answer your question, I'd become Supreme Ruler of Suriname. Suriname just seems like a pretty cool guy.

I was in the Reach forum? I don't recall that
she's saying she brought you up in the middle of reach forum discussion, hence why she was told to shut up
that's kinda funny
OT: so i heard 4chan is getting nuked for good
Ohhhhhh.
Really? I don't know if that sucks or is a good thing.
They might not if Martin Shkreli saves them. I honestly couldn't think of a more qualified person.
the only people who want that are from /pol/ the dude said that if he owned 4chan he'd want to make it some sort of edgy cesspit
Really? I thought he just said that he'd leave it unregulated, but I haven't really been keeping up with the issue. Although it makes sense, since: A) It's Martin Shkreli and B) That's kinda the way everyone sees 4chan anyways. I'm not saying that all boards are the same, but that is the predominant image.
