Are you gonna let a brother in on this or what
It's not in Gävle.
Are you gonna tell me it's not in Germany too? The fuck do I care if it's not in Gävle?
Oh, you're German. I guess that explains… how you are.
He's not German.
Then why would he care if it's not in Germany?
English is his third language, I believe. What he meant was he doesn't care if it's not in Gävle because he doesn't live there, should he care that it's not in Germany also (because he doesn't live there either).
You're telling me I'm the one in wrong?
He told me it's not in Gävle, so I asked him if he's gonna keep on telling me where it's not. Germany being one of those.
I wasn't trying to tell you that you're in the wrong, I was just confused.
Yeah, it shows that you have no idea what you're talking about.
I don't know what anyone is talking about. I don't even remember what thread I'm in.

Doesn't matter, no one would say anything against me for fear of being executed when I eliminate any and all political opposition.

Funny, if Hillary actually said this there wouldn't be anywhere near as big of an uproar versus what Trump said.
What Trump said was precedented by other misogynist remarks, though. Kinda like how if Hillary avoided paying taxes there would be a much bigger uproar than there has been for Trump, because people have come to expect such breaches of trust from her.

You're always welcome.

Walk up to someone and say, "Excuse me, but do you speak German?" and if they say no, say "You're welcome."

It's literally just hundreds of people spouting asinine shit at a rapid-fire rate. I mean, honestly, what kind of people feel the need to constantly post worthless content just to be recognized by other posters of worthless content?
Oh wait.

Hugo Strange and Bane.
Everyone else is boring.
You mean everyone but Scarecrow, though, right?
Sure, I guess. I haven't read enough stories with Scarecrow to judge.
I mean, he's a character that can either be done really well or really poorly. In the hands of good writers, though, his whole fear shtick allows for some neat thematic development. Also I just think the way he can plunge his enemies into their own personal hell is kind of creepy and badass.

Robin/Red Hood
Besides Joker, he's the one who hurts Wayne the most. Not in the physical sense. In the ideological way. He represents Bat's biggest failure.
He also has an ideology of his own that kind of runs counter to Batman's, murdering thugs and whatnot. Very different means to the same ends.

Well, Mr. I-know-very-much-about-comedy-thank-you, I'm starting to wonder why you're the one asking the questions in the first place. because my sagacious knowledge of comedy does not make me a clairvoyant--when someone posts something that isn't funny, yet tries so earnestly to be, it's quite befuddling
so i ask--"what is the joke"
i understand the techniques being used, but the essence of the joke itself is lost on me
i guess i'm just too smart, or something
Going forward, I'll be assuming that you are being serious and not facetious, like Dietrich suggested. I really don't know what more you want, though. What more is the essence of a joke than the techniques being used? I don't know exactly what it is about our expectations being twisted that's so amusing to us, but if that's your issue with the joke, than you should have an issue with a lot more jokes than this one. Probably all of them. Maybe you are just too smart for humor, but there's no reason to give Challenger a hard time about it.
