Really like the opening shot
That sense of scale
The cinematography is superb, even if the film flops with star wars fans I feel as if it'll be a quality film. Abrams's style suits Star Wars well, both of the Star Trek films felt so much less like ST and more like SW anyways-it's probably part of the reason they did well.
Star Trek isn't as much about the action as it is about the diplomacy, trying to talk things out.
Abrams' ST films were Star Wars ripoffs frankly. So much action in them.
Yep, that's why he suits Star Wars so well. He's talented and he just knows how to make a good movie, I thought the Star Trek films were brilliant (but un-Star Trekky)

Why the hype for a pre-rendered model?
Look at the tubing connecting the filters or whatever to the backpack. Look at the spacetrooper figure being sold at Celebration, where BF is being revealed. This points to space combat making a definite return, possibly with the addition of zero-g infantry boarding actions.
If they were marines than I would not expect the dirty armour, except if there was some type of carry over to surface battles. It's not unreasonable to think this may be a trooper equipped for anaerobic combat rather than boarding action specifically-that means we may get maps such as Polis Massa

That's true, but DICE's games usually don't shoot for unreasonable graphical quality, and it's not as though the model is a example of super high quality lighting and reflective surfaces. THat's where Watch Dogs ended up faring poorly. This is just a stormtrooper, and a matte one at that.
It's also a fairly weathered and dirty one, and his weapon has visibly seen enough action too. It strikes me as odd that they are using a non-default model, i'm guessing that model is from use on one of the planetary maps rather than a pristine off-the-shelf stormtrooper (like the ones you'd expect)

I think the point is that even speed running the game which you're trying to beat as fast as you can still takes over a day to do. So normal playing is going to take days unlike something like Skyrim which everything about it is a mater of hours.
