There are launchers you can download and install icon packs for. You don't have to use Samsung TouchWiz on your Android or the default icon theme.

Yeah, but we have two utterly different types of background, mine is meant to be a background, there's no centre-piece, your background would make a great lock-screen, I use  It has a centre-point, I would never obscure that with apps because it's not meant to be

Well take me. I use my laptop for everything but gaming. My laptop is basically my workhorse and I use my desktop specifically for gaming. So in that scenario Windows on my laptop and SteamOS on my desktop works well for me. I wouldn't use the current build of SteamOS on my computer but later in development I would highly consider it.
What about non-steam games? With Windows you get games from Steam and all the Windows/Non-Windows-Steam games

IOS, the UI is better, it's not as bare-bones as android and everything is optimised, and very fast. It's just a beautiful and practical OS, customisation outside of backgrounds doesn't bother me. Only downside is no Flash support.
But at least I don't have to put up with eww widgets.
