Gaming / Re: Assassins Creed Unity goes WWII
« on: October 30, 2014, 06:45:13 PM »

Good, now what about the Feudal Japan and Good Modern era that people keep asking for too?
They said why they aren't doing Japan in the forseeable future.
lolmoderndayassassinscreedgame
Why aren't they?

A modern day AC game actually could have great potential, so long as it's done right.
Because they like to use lesser known/lesser used time periods.
http://www.gamespot.com/articles/feudal-japan-assassins-creed-might-feel-too-famili/1100-6423254/

A modern day AC game would remove two of the core aspects of the franchise, one of which is the staple of the franchise.
I can't think of any video game that takes place in historical Japan, outside of the RTS games.
They said that it's be too similar to ninjas, and there are a LOT of games involving ninjas.

Ancient Egypt looks to be Ubi's next destination bro. Although they've said they'd love to do a British colonial-era India, as well as Britain itself and maybe Africa
Only time period it could fall under Ancient Egypt would be Achaemenid Egypt, as the Assassins have only been around since at least 456 B.C and Achaemenid Egypt was 552-332 B.C before it transitioned into the Classical Antiquity

On top of that, the first known assassin conduct in Egypt was around 30 B.C when Cleopatra was assassinated and that puts it either in Ptolemaic Egypt   (332–30 BC) or Roman and Byzantine Egypt (30 BC–641 AD), both of which exist outside of Ancient Egypt era

More interestingly would be a game set either with Ottoman Egypt   (1517–1867) or the French occupation of Egypt (1798–1801; French Empire was at war with Britain and Ottomans)
I agree, i'm just paraphrasing the Gamespot interview answers

So, Backwards media vs Progressive society, obviously we lose purely because we don't have millions and the ability to manipulate the sheeple

Never played 2 and I only have 1 on IOS, but now I understand why ME was so brilliant, as it has it's roots in KOTOR.

So hyped for the possibility of a KOTOR 3, or another game in the same vein

Unless you like having SJW-penned articles about how Gaming is evil and all Gamers are sexist pigs, and about how horrible the entire internet is, plus how every joke is a troll, every criticism harassment and every compliment a rape threat pushed through your notifications every day, i'd suggest not using it

Hardly a shock. Daily Show went full sjw a while ago.
MSM has been pushing their narrative hard for weeks.
...are you for real?
You do realize this is in the context of gg / anti-gg yes? Not sure what you'd disagree with there.
GG?
Gamergate

Basically a major push within the gaming community to expose corruption, bribery, and sexual favors going around between game developers and game journos.

Obviously, being the ones who are being questioned, the gaming media is making shit up and accusing people of harassment that is not happening. They're trying to make it about sexism when it's really about journalistic integrity.

Because all journos are pals, the mainstream media has started to tow this line as well.

So a bunch of people who mean well are now evil sexist jerks who just can't stand women in their vidya.

It's pretty sickening to see the media twist things around like they are, and people believe it.
I need to save this explanation to use later
