We always say to fight fire, you must use fire. This is wrong. Fighting fire with fire will leave scars and a new flame will rise. We must instead use water. It is the opposite of fire, it extinguishes the fire, it cools, it refreshes, it heals. We are made up of 70% water, we are not made up of 70% fire. Please practice what we truly are
As long as Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Utah and Colorado all join together to make their own country, I'll be okay with this. :P
Hick states with shitty economies UNITE!
Huh? New Mexcio, Texas and Colorado have shitty economies?
Texas not so much, but New Mexico is terrible and Colorado is really only starting to do well due to the legalization of cannabis. Arizona is a joke.

Texas would be carrying all of them and that would put a serious strain on Texas.
What about Utah?
Shithole.

Quote
Also, I think Texas would have less strain, because instead of tending to 49 states, they only have to tend to four.
Seeing how California and New York are the two best states in the Union, no.

WHAT!? You have to know that is utter horseshit! They are the LEAST FREE states in this nation! America is about Freedom.. Those two can't be the best in the Union if they don't even represent America's beauty. By the way, California is in shit debt, but I don't know the status of NY's economy.. But I do know both states have terrible.. TERRIBLE freedom!
I wasn't aware citizens in California and New York aren't protected by the Constitution.
Have you read up on their STATE laws!? Their rights are more restricted than the rest of the country. Yes, basic rights are still there, but they have some of the worst State laws this nation has ever seen. The constitution means almost shit nothing to their state governments.
They have the same rights eerybody else does.

Slightly restricted gun access =/= No freedom

Cry more
It's not about guns! It's about all the shit ton of stupid laws and regulations their state government imposed on their own citizens. California is notorious for sue happy ass hats, they'll sue you for stupid shit. I'm down right tired of hearing people sue someone else for their own stupidity and most of that shit happens in CALIFORNIA!.. New York, I'm not so sure what they are notorious for, but I bet you its bad too.
Please provide proof for your ridiculous claims.

"I DONT KNOW WHY ITS BAD BUT ITS BAD"
I could, but people on this site say, "Bah, that's a bias site" Doesn't matter what I link on here, you'll dismiss it or use a different site that makes a counter claim. Doesn't matter if its a state ran site or an organized site, this knowledge is common street knowledge, not something that is focused too much by organizations.

FUCKING LOL

You can sue anybody anywhere in America. It's not state specific. California and New York have all the freedom everywhere else does.
Alright, keep telling yourself that. Haven't seen any links from you either, but my statement applies to me as well.. I'd just find counter-claims and it'd get us nowhere.

I find it silly people think every state has the same exact laws and same level of freedom.

I don't know why politicians keep entertaining the inane idea of some sort of 'secession' from the union. Calm down already, just two more years until there's (likely) a white president again.

Alright...

No right to work laws
Absurdly high state income tax
Rent control
NYC eminent domain regulations disproportionately favor developers over homeowners
Funding for worker's comp is severely restricted
Non-group coverage is nearly a nonexistent option due to state over regulation
Stop and Frisk
Tobbaco policy even more restrictive than Pennsylvania's own
"Motor Vehicle Law Enforcement Fee"

I didn't even touche firearm policy or California.

Neat.

Can't wait to see what happens.

Spoiler
Fuck all of you federalist pigs btw. Centralization of power is not the American way. If you want an all-powerful national government with no regional breathing room, fuck off to Europe
Door, absolute decentralization is how you end up with schools being allowed to teach young earth creationism as scientific fact. Not cool at all.

I don't see how people have less freedom due to these laws. They're bad things to be sure, but they don't restrict freedom.

The exception being Stop and Frisk. But seeing how Arizona has Nazi police that ask you for your paperwork, your argument is moot.
Let's not forget that the NY state government is one of the most corrupt in the entire country.

None of you have lived in either, so that's another thing you have stacked against you on top of partisanship.
On the same token, bias can be claimed for those who do/did live there.

But, anyway, while I appreciate some of what these states have done politically, their rules and regulations do make them bad places to live, for me.

With that argument America isn't free at all as most politicians of the federal government are corrupt. Majority if the corruption comes from people accepting money to allow unsavory things to happen, not so much it implement invasive and freedom restricting policies.

I mean, it's all relative. I've never heard of New Yorker saying he felt "less free" in New York compared to some other state.

Mexico is one of the most corrupt places on Earth, but you can actually do whatever the fuck you want there. Corruption does not exactly correlate with oppressive governments.
Because most New York voters are ignorant, lol. Just ask Charlie Rangel.

I would hardly call Mexico 'free'. 'Freedom' is also the right to not get gang-raped on vacation, or not be in a perpetual state of conflict. There's still a problem if the government can't enforce its own laws.

Nice generalization.

Freedom is the right to gang rape people on their vacation. It goes both ways. That's why we can't have true freedom.
Freedom is the right to not have someone else's "freedom" imposed upon oneself.
