A fucking workbench. Hahaha wow.

Anyways if you feel like there's something unresolved and she's open to talking then I guess go for it. But it could be a really messy situation and maybe even make things worse. Personally I feel like no matter how it ended, it's over. There's nothing left to talk about or fix, just leave her in the past even if she's still around in your life. She doesn't matter anymore.

In fact some of the best stories are those in which characters are introduced but you don't know everything about them and there is more focus on the plot and how the characters react to challenges they face.
I mean, the characters still grow as a result of these challenges. Han Solo didn't remain static throughout the original trilogy.
That's exactly my point. He didn't have an origin story either. It feels like every reboot of every series keeps trying to recapture the magic of the original but instead of doing what those people did they just make a stupid boring origin story where he boring character does some boring stuff to kind of become like the original character was at the end of the movie for 5 minutes. It's lame.
I agree that the origin story was unnecessary, and the film didn't really justify itself either. But you seemed to be saying that you wanted a film where Han Solo is the exact same throughout and just does Han Solo things for 2 hours which sounds even worse.
What's wrong with good old fashioned Han Solo for 2 hours? Isn't that the whole point of this movie? That everybody likes Han Solo and wants to see a Han Solo movie?

the whole thing turned crap and mundane when they took the hot heady, larger than life but clinched romance from the old movies and said where are they now? oh they got divorced. just like everyone's parents. just like you will. Even in fantasy, it's just divorce

Because we already four other movies where Han Solo does Han Solo things.

I'd rather they just left the OT characters alone and did new things.
I agree, they should come up with new characters. But since they decided to make a Han Solo movie, at least give us Han Solo, not whatever this is.

I think I already made this thread without the sugar coating. Chemical castration, and maybe pay them a reward to do it as an incentive. Unless we can somehow genetically modify the person to get rid of this, I don't see any other (humane) way.

I don't like how they neutered Han Solo. He wasn't a macho male role model who initiates the plot but rather a one-sided comic relief character who was just along for the ride. I found every other character in the movie more interesting than him.

Well he kind of grew into that by the end. It wouldn't be very interesting if his character was the same as he was at the start of ANH, right? But I do agree he didn't feel like the protagonist.
A movie about Han Solo wouldn't be interesting if Han Solo is anything like he was in the original movies?
The film is more about how he grows into that character, which he pretty much becomes by the end of the film.
Boring. They should've just made an action adventure movie about Han Solo working for Jabba or something and it ends right where IV starts and he meets Luke And Obi Wan in the cantina.
Character development is boring? The film we got is still an action adventure film, but with a character who actually grows throughout the adventure rather than remaining static which really would be boring.
Origin stories are getting old. I think an Indiana Jones type of movie would've been better where it's just the protagonist doing his thing. I don't really care how Han Solo came to be, I like the character.

id like to point this out

I already pointed that out. It doesn't excuse all the other times he's said some pretty bad stuff to people. But again, I don't know all the angles.

it would be, if it were the only thing i said and my primary argument

it's something i tacked on to the end to further ridicule the idea that someone's legacy is tattered because of mean words, because that is an idea worth ridiculing

you even did the same thing in your own post by bringing up 4chan and how bad it gets there
It's whataboutism because I'm saying what he said isn't a reason to spit on his grave, but it does lessen his "legacy". To bring up a scumbag like that as if to say what total biscuit said wasn't bad is whataboutism because you're trying to absolve him of wrongs he committed. I can tell just from looking at him, his mannerisms, his speech, he seems like an asshole. It's a shame he died and I feel for his family and friends but he wasn't a super cool nice guy either.

again, i just don't know if any of that really matters

you can say there's varying degrees of shitty words you can say, and i don't disagree with you, but it's still all just words at the end of the day, words that he said in his youth, and the only lasting effect those words resulted in were a bunch of people endlessly trolling him about it to his dying day

you know, in spite of having apologized and matured since then (not that anyone should give a fuck)

maybe if he was a criminal and actually did tangibly bad stuff, i'd find myself agreeing with you more
He said some horrible things on numerous occasions. Supposedly he was being trolled and having a super bad day for one of the occasions and then he apologized but for the others I don't know. Not that it gives anybody the right to mock a dead guy. Especially on 4chan where people say way worse shit all the time.

remember when you learned that john lennon used to beat the shit out of women? he's still ranked as one of the top 10 "greatest britons" to have EVER lived according to the BBC, though
This is whataboutism.

Oh here we go.

Oh I wouldn’t fuck her, she’s nasty.

Bull shit. Your moment to have the best sex possible and you act too good for it. The only reason I would walk away is I’m in a committed relationship.
Well by your own admission you're a rapist so we can't trust you.

Lots of misinformation here. I think using Rotten Tomatoes to evaluate whether a movie is good or not is a bad idea. The scores there have been manipulated in the past and could be manipulated again.

Consider this, if you actually went and saw the movie tonight when it opens, not only would you be supporting a budding Star Wars expanded universe, but you'd also be supporting your local theater. If you are Star Wars fans, you owe it to yourself to see Disney's Solo tonight.
Fuck Disney and fuck Soy Solo

Why they gotta milk everything?

Agree. There is lots of unwarranted hate in here for a movie that critics called
>A dizzyingly effervescent spectacle that reminded me precisely why I fell in love with Star Wars as a child.
>A rollicking, entertaining entry in the storied franchise.
>The new movie has been described as a space western, but I think it's more like a pirate movie - and almost pure fun from start to finish.

Looking at Rotten Tomatoes, looking at presales, looking at inaccurate box office figures, looking at sales in China, that's all nonsense. Let me propose this. If you are a Star Wars fan, go and see Disney's Solo: A Star Wars Story tonight and with your own eyes and ears experience a thrilling, adventurous ride directed by Ron Howard.

It's one of those movies that you might need to see even two or three times before it really hits, but boy when it does, it really leaves a lasting impression on you.

He didn't kick her off; he only interrupted her when the crowd booed, then he let her do it again and the crowd was still a bunch of dumbfucks so he stopped it again.

So... Blame the crowd? Apparently the festival this was at is just a bunch of drunk underage teens so it's no surprise they were shitty.
