The Flood / Re: Private groups are being deleted from bungie.net.« on: December 29, 2023, 09:07:27 PM »
Bungie isn't really Bungie anymore and hasn't been the Bungie we've known for a very long time now. This website is more Bungie.net than the real one. As far as private groups being completely erased, none of it is surprising anymore and really, they'd just be doing everyone from the old community a favor at this point, because they're all dead.
They already erased everything Halo related even though they said they wouldn't back in 2021, and the layoffs in general are pretty fucked up. I know most of you will disagree, but in my opinion the old website during the Halo days really was something, and we won't really have anything like that again. At the rate that website is going, I'd rather have them re-enable deleting inactive accounts, since I myself don't even go there anymore. Bungie now more than ever is run by a bunch of yes men, and any of the "loyal fans" that go there now since the Halo days and still support everything Bungie does today are merely cuckolds. 3
Gaming / Xbox 360 Development Kit« on: September 03, 2023, 01:22:09 PM »
Happy to say I finally own one now. I can do a lot of fun stuff with it. I even got Unity to work with it and have been busy developing a prototype for it, in addition to running unsigned code with alpha builds, beta builds of 360 titles, I even have a conversion tool that can convert final xex files to dev from retail. If I REALLY wanted to, I could get on Xbox Live with this thing, it requires jumping through a few hoops since this system was meant to connect to Partnernet originally, but Partnernet shut down in 2013.
But yeah, this is what I've been spending most of my free time doing to anyone who cares. I've wanted to get one of these guys since the 7th gen era when the 360 was a current gen console. Well better late than never. This system was manufactured on July 10th, 2009 so its a Jasper, and I bought it just last month. So its not likely for it to red ring. Its the real deal as its never been tampered with. Comes with a 120GB HDD inside the sidecar (the grey thing on top of it) and it gives me the ability to have DVD Emulation in addition to using the PIX editor since it has 2 ports for that on the sidecar. Anyway that's it. 4
Gaming / Re: The Destiny Community is shocked that Bungie has abandoned them« on: August 07, 2023, 12:48:08 AM »
I'm not surprised. In fact I think I called this shit in my message to Bungie video awhile back when I had my YouTube channel. The same thing is happening to the Destiny community much like what happened to the Halo community. Gaming has turned into a multi-million dollar business to where the only thing that matters now is just money, not even the quality of the product or the welfare of your consumers, and I wish it was just with the video game industry.

Yeah I remember her. I think she was one of the later Bungie.net members in like 2013 or 2014.
You're not a true OG Floodian if you don't remember Goose98 though. *eats a sammich* 10

The only person that I strongly dislike on here now is Verbatim, but that's because he has the personality of a tumor. Anyone else I don't really give a fuck anymore. I'm over with a lot the shit here. I'm only here right now digging for music I'm trying to find.

Like I'm talking almost a decade ago. I wanna say around 2014 or 2015. It was like really fast trippy techno or trance that was cracked up and fast, even had someone say something in a kind of chipmunk voice. I'd PM Ryle himself but he hasn't been active since August. Its in his post history somewhere but I'd have to go through over 200 fucking pages of this shit just to find it, if its even up at all on YouTube, most of the stuff in the music thread itself has been deleted by YouTube, and using Internet Wayback, it wasn't even there to start with in that thread.
The style is kinda similar to Hixxy & Darren Styles - The Theme but obviously that's not it. I tried finding the song on all of my external hard drives, no fucking luck. If anyone has any idea what the song is, post it below. Its been living in my head rent free for 2 weeks and I would tell you if that's it or not. Thanks. Edit: Ryle found the Song! YouTube 23
It didn't even last a week.
For real though shit changes and people move on, myself included. I myself am not really the same person anymore that I once used to be. More or less I was an addict on here. I've had a lot of growing up to do and I don't really go on new forums anymore. Discord has replaced 90% of that. I also don't go by this alias anymore online in new communities. I'll embrace my past on here, I have fucked up royal on here many times and the cycle kept repeating. The cycle is broken now. We had a good run, 8 years is a long time. 24

Obviously if it's my life or someone else's I'm going to choose to live; I'm human that way. I have no clue how I'd react in that scenario, really. But I also have no need to be a cop. A cop KNOWS what that job entails and so it's really on them to be OK with the risk. Don't want to maybe get shot? Don't be a cop. Then with that said Cheat, I hope that we both make it out of this insanity alive. 25
Serious / Re: All Lives Matter« on: September 06, 2020, 02:13:48 PM »kind of a moot point youâre hiding behind, there. Weâre talking about cops using a gun as a first resort against unarmed people not resisting arrest. Even if they were armed or resisting, that really doesnât justify killing a living being to me.Deci every day a new video emerges on twitter of a black guy getting his grey matter evicted from his skull by a cop who goes on to not be held accountable in any way, shape or form. If your takeaway from this is Rioters are the problem because some murdoch press âjournalistâ posted a video of an empty shopfront ablaze with no context then I think you really need to re evaluate your line of reasoning because youâre essentially being the same guy that stands up and screams ânot all menâ the nanosecond sexual abuse is brought up. That I can agree with, at least with those who are unarmed and not resisting arrest, and sadly shit has happened where innocent people have died due to crossfire, as for the ones who were armed and they aim at a cop to intentionally shoot and kill them, you have to keep in mind that when a civilian aims a gun your intent is to shoot. That's like one of the rules with guns, never aim it at someone unless you're going to actually shoot them. Police have been exempt by that rule because of how they have been trained, again the bad ones ruin it for the rest but not everyone does the shit that the bad ones do. The way I see it, self defense is justified if someone was actually going to kill you and they were aiming right at you, its why we have the 2nd amendment. Well..... probably had at this point. Our rights are being threatened right now. 26
Serious / Re: All Lives Matter« on: September 06, 2020, 02:08:42 PM »You're super sheltered, then. Might want to take a look at other neighborhoods, and not through the lease of cable TV news. When has a cop ever helped you? My only interactions with them are when they pull me over to ticket me or after a fender bender. They are no help when âshit hits the fanâ in most cases. Youâre thinking of paramedics or fire fighters.No. Some individuals want the police abolished. I am one of them....no. We want to replace SOME of the police with social workers and programs to help take care of non-violent stuff. The same way police donât take care of 911 calls for fires, we want to shuffle around funds so we donât have unstable, hostile, armed cops responding to wellness checks, getting spooked, and executing a 9 year old.Deci, what do you think defunding the police means? You are judging the protestors by their worst, but are judging the police by their best. Do you not see the cognitive dissonance here?Fuck police. I'll be dead if I personally visit other neighborhoods that have this insanity going on. Also my source isn't cable TV news. I haven't watched TV in decades. 27
Serious / Re: All Lives Matter« on: September 06, 2020, 02:07:25 PM »Deci you literally tried to argue a point by inventing a hypothetical situation what are you doing right now Yeah I did that so I can get Cheat to try and understand why sometimes the police are forced to shoot and kill people, especially if that person is armed with a gun and aimed right at them, because it does happen. Some even do it because they want to die, ever heard of suicide by cop? 28

This is why we are not cops, but you also need to see where they are coming from as well, at least the ones that DON'T execute minorities, because not all of them do. I agree that its a big problem in America and it has been for a long time, but I really don't see how the riots are going to make this any better. Also, regarding what you said about "businesses burning. It's just stuff." Remember that well should you ever decide to start a small business one day and your stuff gets stolen and your store is destroyed. In fact, keep that in mind if someone or a group of people break into your house and destroy your stuff, including your computer, or they steal your stuff and personal information. Yes, stuff can be replaced, but your personal information and identity is a very hard thing to get back if it ever falls into the wrong hands. If the masses of police are as corrupt as you are saying, then society itself with everything going on right now isn't going to last very long. 29

Then this really is varied based on our communities, because (probably doesn't count) I've had a cop that was there to watch over the middle school students when security wasn't enough help me out in middle school when I was getting picked on and the shit beaten out of by other kids. Again that probably doesn't count because I wasn't an adult back then. She was nice at least, when I think of good cops I think of people like her. I've also been stopped by a cop just from walking home since he was watching the area, and that's because someone matched my description committed a robbery in that neighborhood. I was expecting to get arrested tbh. He asked where I was headed, checked my I.D, and let me go. I told him "Sorry for any trouble" and his reply was "Just doing my job." This was back in 2012 so shit was different back then compared to now. I honestly think this varies on our communities. I'm sorry that the cops in your community sucks, I really am. I'm sorry that you never had a good experience with them and they've always fucked you over. In my case I technically live in a bubble because of how the community I live in is currently managed. That isn't to say shit can't change overnight, because it can, but it hasn't happened, that also doesn't mean that there aren't corrupt cops in my community. There very well are and even one of the DA's have been arrested by the FBI. I just haven't met any of them. 30

So in this instance you'd let him kill you yes? This is the point I'm trying to make here, I'm not a cop either but say you were in the shoes of one. Maybe you're alright with getting killed, but most people value their life, even if they are police. They don't know if they're going to live to see tomorrow, and honestly, when someone is armed in dangerous and they point the gun at police, the police don't have much of a choice because it turns into a "us or them scenario" Now if the person is unarmed, I agree that they shouldn't shoot them, and they are in the wrong for that, but again that doesn't mean every police officer is a murderous asshole that kills someone because of their skin color. Hell, what about black police officers? Do they not matter? |
