Just give me Halo 3: 2

Hell that's not even a bad idea. I wouldn't mind a 3rd game to be made with Halo 3's engine even.

2
Most of us oldschool Halo players don't really like Halo 4 and 5, well, Halo 5 mainly. Though personally I'm not a fan of Halo 4, and I maybe the only person who would originally buy a Halo game to continue the story, multiplayer was always an added bonus for me. I didn't start buying a Halo game for multiplayer until Halo 4.

Will I buy Halo 6? That depends. Since 343 really fucked up with Halo 5's story, here's a small idea on how they can redeem themselves or the series, otherwise Xbox and Halo are done.

First things first, Cortana. Instead of her being the main villain of the game now, The Chief ends up capturing her via the chip and taking her back to Halsey, having her fixed to be freed from her corruption Or, if Cortana is really gone since Halo 4, then that wouldn't be Cortana but a rampancy clone of Cortana. That would make a fuck of a lot more sense than saying that's Cortana. I don't like how an intelligent AI character in the story has been reduced to nothing more but a total nuance. Even Bungie made this mistake in Halo 3 with Cortana appearing in your HUD. Like, I can understand having it happen once on the first mission, but to have it happen again and again and again. Its just unfortunate.

2nd: We've been to all these locations in Halo 4 and 5, and have had the Halo ring only mentioned a few times. Why not actually go back to oh gee I don't know:

An actual fucking Halo ring?

I'd love to explore Installation 05 again, or what about the other Installations? 343 has so many Installations to work with. Going back on The Ark in Halo 3, when on the level on the covenant, if I counted correctly there are at least 9 Halo rings that exist. Any one those 9 could easily be used in the story. Maybe you go to Installation 03 or 01 or hell even 07 to pay an homage to old Bungie with their obsession with 7. The possibilities are endless.

Just with these alone could potentially setup the foundation for a decent story to salvage the franchise one last time. The Flood could make a comeback and be released from an Installation no one has set foot on yet. It isn't too late.

Sadly, they will never do this. Chances are Halo 6 is only going to be dumbed down ever further than Halo 5 already is, and I'm sure Microsoft doesn't want Halo to go back to be an M rated title.

Halo's 1-Reach are worth playing along with the anniversary editions of Halo CE and 2 compared to the shit known as 4, 5, and presumably 6.

Unless anyone has a better idea (believe me I'd love to hear it) that would salvage the franchise, this is really the only building blocks I can offer to 343 for a decent story.

Another thing I will never understand is why the actual fuck would 343 hire people who hate Halo? That's like hiring people into your pizza place who hate pizza, its gonna suck!

Anyway, so what do you think? Can Halo 6 possibly redeem itself  and the franchise if done right? Or is it too late? Oh and going back to the art style Bungie used would also be a huge plus with the decent story at best.

Discuss.

Also, what are the odds of Deci RP'ing again with this influx of new folk?

Not sure what you mean.

I meant you'd pretend to be a newbie here,  like you did with Darth Vader or the Foman alts whenever there was a new pool of people appearing.

Don't really care about Bungie beyond that.

Alright. I'll come clean.

Darth Vader is my alt. Foman however is legit not my alt. I don't know who's alt it is.

I don't really have the need to use an alt anymore. I've rather stopped caring what people think of me on here.

Seeing is believing my good man. Hope you stay around longer this time without raising your blood pressure or bursting a few veins.

Thanks. I may or may not stay long. As for stress. That's what I have my job for. Office drama at its finest.

6 years old now. RIP Kitty.

Cancer is a bitch. I would watch a lot of Kitty's Gary's Mod stuff back in high school. Including the stuff Dasboshitt put out.

Hey Deci, welcome back

Thank you.

Ayyy Deci.

Ayyyy.

Try and keep yourself busy. Write. Be productive. Review shit.

That's what I plan on doing on the weekend until I go on vacation again. The month of May I'm gonna be building a 2nd Strat type guitar from used guitar parts.

I used to have an app actually, but it was web based. I don't remember who uploaded it but it was cool even if it was more or less the same as using a regular browser.

Tapatalk?

The new people didn't even last a week.

That meme is getting old tbh.
They literally didn't though. Do you see any new faces in this thread or any of the other recent threads?

You're right.

Fuck. Well I guess we only have each other fam.

Deej is the Deci of Bungie

Don't you mean I'm the Deej of Sep7agon? Lol.

There is a big difference between Deej and I though.

Not sure what you mean. I will say this though. I refuse to play Destiny 2, including the trial. The right thing Bungie can do right now is to undo bullshit changes like this where you need the game and play the game to a certain point just to post on their forums.

That shit never happened with Halo, and I highly doubt it was in their contract with Activision to alienate their community.

This was a one company decision.

Wanna hear a funny joke?

Okay.

Father tomato mother tomato and baby tomato were walking to the store

Baby tomato's short little legs made him lag behind

So father tomato goes back to baby tomato

And steps on him

Ketchup

Nice.

I dunno man, upon further inspection it doesn't seem like there was that big of a wave of new members. Enough to help breathe a little life back into the site, but I'd be surprised if Sep7 ever returned anywhere close to 2014/2015 levels of activity. I don't think it's going to die right away per say, but at least it's not on life support anymore. But it's not like I'm much of a relevant member anymore lol so my opinion probably means jack squat.

Well its still going. Cheat's still paying for it. I'm fine with this site kinda like being a B.old private group. At least that's how I see it.
That's a good way to look at it.

And honestly, I'm okay with that. It doesn't have to be a big mainstream site. I don't think anyone here really wants that.
It never was, people were just way more active.

True. I wonder if the amount of banning and drama could have caused all that activity to stop? Starting with me. That is still something I regret to this day, but the past is the past.
2014 Sep7agon was the best imo, pre-drama

I completely agree.

so uh
I passed through Glendale a few times

Wasn't my destination though, I was headed to North Hollywood. Pretty long drive. It's kinda scary how massive the freeways in LA county are.
I saw your thread when you were in Glendale.

I was in Monrovia at the time. Working.

Hope you enjoyed your visit.

As for the freeways, you'll get use to them.
It was interesting but it was in the 100s so it was way too fucking hot. Couldn't stay because the materials we had in the car weren't supposed to stay exposed to the heat. Would like to go back sometime for a non-business related trip, I really want to explore a little more.

Since you're interested, you may like this place.

I tend to go there on weekends, just not every weekend.

oh shit hi deci

Yo. Its been awhile.
it has
how'd you get unbanned?

PM'd Cheat. My ban was by request.
oh interesting, I thought that maybe the mods finally decided to just pull the plug on you

No, I don't get overly irrational or "explode" anymore like I used to. Life keeps me busy and I've been on here less and less.

I've had my job for over a year now and things have been moving forward. After hearing the shit that Bungie's doing I did wonder if anything changed.

Since my LTE wasn't banned I checked via my phone and was thrilled to see new members from Bungie joining. In a way it felt like B.old was reviving itself on here, as ridiculous as that may sound.

I know many consider Sep7agon to be nothing more but a backwater forum, but why can't we have a real community? I'd love it for more Bungie peeps from the past to join, along with new people who have never been on Bungie.
That's cool. I recently quit mine. Pay was shit and I didn't feel it was worth it for the amount of responsibility I had. Got a few fancy awards from senators and other representatives. Sorta pointless, but they look nice on my wall. Hoping I can use them as resume fodder.

And nah dude Bungie isn't going to get any better. Bungie died when they sold their souls to Activision.

I see.

Yeah my pay is barely above minimum here, the general manager can be a dick. My boss is more laid back though. I mainly just do office work. It gets tiring but its better than machining.

Oh I'm well aware that Bungie isn't going to get any better. I'm just saying. If more Bungie.old people and new people who never got the B.old experience join Sep7agon, we can reform the old B.old community if people here are willing to do that, just minus the gay rules the old site had.

We could bring back the very thing Bungie decided to throw in the trash. We get a real active community here and the idea of private groups could become a reality.

Bungie has gone above and beyond to make themselves irredeemable at this point.
