that's pretty fucked up, but at the same time, i've always disagreed with curve-based grading, so i have mixed thoughts on the situation
curves can be helpful, my major was based on them a bit, especially for the later physics / astro classes because my god we delved into that shit hard. it was nice having a few points of leeway

The Flood / Re: The Definitive Guide to Making Anime Tolerable
« on: September 12, 2019, 04:53:30 PM »
Never even heard of Violet Evergarden before. If it's not something I might have occasionally watched as kid (like Dragonball or Yugioh) then it's a safe bet to say I haven't seen it. What's it about?
like verb said it came out last year. its made by the anime studio that was hit by an arson attack recently and it should be on netflix cause of a partnership. the visuals to me arent nauseating, but well made and can be seen as overdone, but its preference. it wasnt as nauseating as when netflix began their own "anime" with like 12fps visuals and cgi worse than berserk.

anyways forgot to answer. its about a girl who woke up after the end of a war and she doesnt know what to do in life. she only took orders from her superior officer and shes essentially a emotionless machine who doesnt understand a lot of what she or others feel. she becomes a letter writer for a company to put "feelings onto paper" (letter writing) for others and it focuses on her developing feelings while also dealing with the people she gets commissioned from.

yall watched violet evergarden? i thought it was a good story overall and feelsy. i recommend it.
had to drop it because the visuals were giving me diabetes

it came across as a style-over-substance show to me, but i'm not opposed to giving it another try if you think it's worth it
i think it is, to me the visuals were high quality compared to normal anime which i thought to me was a good change of pace. i did enjoy violets character development through it all which was the main focus.

Sounds like a plan.

I also plan on playing Blackjack this time around.
blackjack is only enjoyable if you have a table of at least 2 others who are helpful. dont play at the tables with older women cause they will fuck you and themselves over for wanting to "hit" on an 18 when they shouldnt.

i recommend just walking and drinking on the strip at night, its so fun. but drinks are hella expensive. you might be better off buying some 2.50 coors can

Spoiler

i just have a lil 2004 nissan sentra. i dont really care about it, i really only see it as a piece of metal that gets me from point a to point b (a lot of people get angry when i say that)

since im working this summer, my family is offering me to help me get a new car. this sentra has a lot of problems with it so a new car would be great

Spoiler

also, this is for you jono, since you dont seem to like anime stuff on cars lol
ive never touched doki doki but shes hella cute
