The Flood / Re: Don't ask questions, just consume product« on: October 08, 2024, 07:40:10 PM »tbh I haven't watched anything but anime and YouTube in years. I have virtually no interest in western pop culture anymore. Haven't even played any new games since Elden Ring.I watch neither movies/shows nor anime, I play games, from time to time I watch YouTube and read books. That's about it. The exception would be anything that Quentin Tarantino released, I watched most of his stuff. I might be interested in watching both old Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049, but I doubt I will find it very interesting. And I guess I could watch last Matrix movie, not because I am looking for any sequel, but because I want to see all the meta critique from Lana Wachowski on Warner Bros for making this movie with or without her, but I doubt. I would rather rewatch Texhnolyze for the 7th time, but there's just no point, I remember almost all that happened in that one. 8

The Flood / Re: Biden won the debate« on: July 14, 2024, 03:43:18 PM »
Well, now I am hearing phrase "Shooter shot Trump, and hit Biden" i.e this assassination attempt will play in Trump's favor. Oh, and did I tell you that Ukraine has currently large anti-campaign against Biden that is played out by a media channels connected to our government (in particular Zelensky and his "office" of "5-6 effective managers")? So Trump's odds to win went up significantly.

The Flood / Re: Biden won the debate« on: July 14, 2024, 02:37:05 PM »I have a feeling Trump will win. That actually wouldn't be the end of the world though. Well, I can only say it from a standpoint of a ukrainian, but Trump was infinitely better than Barack Obama for us (Obama was blocking weapon supplying for Ukraine), and that's because our ex-president, Poroshenko, is a skillful politician with a nickname "Bulldozer". And, again from a standpoint of ukrainian Constitution, president is just a political representative of a country, and has little power outside of that. I suppose in USA president has a bit more power than that, but majority of decisions still are done by a parliament, no? And look, Trump is not even a fraction as bad as who ukrainians voted for in 2019 in Ukraine. 12
The Flood / Re: Biden won the debate« on: July 14, 2024, 02:22:23 PM »
Now, under all the noise from assassination attempt, our ex-president and his delegation that was meant to have a planned visit in USA with republicans was quietly blocked by the ukrainian government, which is VERY (in)convenient for Ukraine, since it is basically blocking our ex-president from doing any diplomacy with future candidates.

The Flood / Re: Biden won the debate« on: June 30, 2024, 05:40:12 PM »Ukrainian last debates between candidates for a president seat were like this: one of candidates, our current president Zelensky, refused to show up for debates on TV and instead organized a stadium. Poroshenko, our ex-president, went there and tried to bring the discussion with Zelensky to some constructive point, but Zelensky just simply started pouring dirt on him, he even used russian fakes. In the end, after that, Poroshenko went back to TV broadcast room and was answering questions alone.they are reminding me the one with the stadium that happened in Ukraine.Which was this? Poroshenko lost the election, but it wasn't really a consequence of debates, rather it was info-campaign that was organized against him by Russia and some of our oligarchs and stupid desire of ukrainians to have changes for better immediately as well as believing that "new face" would fix their problems better. The deja vu I got was from the comment section under debates of USA presidents, that were discussing how Trump won over Biden rather the content and their responses to questions. Still, I believe that americans are smarter than ukrainians, and, no matter who would win on election, there is no way for a president to usurper the power in your country, because your government and officials follow law and constitution, while ours are ruled by a phone calls. Oh, and to expect for Youtube comment section to be constructive would be a bit too silly from me. 14
The Flood / Re: Biden won the debate« on: June 30, 2024, 04:18:33 PM »Wouldn't not answering questions put whoever not answered in a worse spotlight than their opponent? Like I even saw Trump say something when answering for a question he wasn't prepared, like what does he think about position of Russia, and he still preferred to say something over not answering question, even though I think for all the viewers of the debates questions about external politics are less important than questions about internal ones and he could have skipped that one.At least you got debates and not a clown parade on a stadium (like in Ukraine), but ye, I think both of candidates could have shown themselves better than thatWe really don't. Parliament is theater. There is no requirement to answer questions or speak to the other and no moderator to hold each side to task. We pay millions in taxes for some rich snobs to get together sometimes and put on a show for themselves. The presidential debate on Thursday was more of a legitimate debate than ever occurs in Canadian parliament. Hell, CNN should host our parliament. As for other points, I agree, the debate is hard to digest and I would rather not rewatch it. It also gives me a sense of deja vu, because when I look at the debates in whole, how they were going, they are reminding me the one with the stadium that happened in Ukraine. 15
The Flood / Re: Biden won the debate« on: June 30, 2024, 03:53:21 PM »I watched a few minutes of the thing before it was too cringe. I'm disgusted that a country can be a dumpster fire in every sense of the word, and those two arrogant dickheads can get up on stage and talk about fucking golf. A waste of fucking time. It's as bad as having to listen to the fucks in canadian parliment. At least you got debates and not a clown parade on a stadium (like in Ukraine), but ye, I think both of candidates could have shown themselves better than that 16
The Flood / Re: Biden won the debate« on: June 30, 2024, 03:33:23 PM »There may be a portion of the people that change their mind, but I am not sure it will be any big. You see, people that already decided on voting for Biden may prefer a corpse that will serve for 1 year over Trump that will serve for 5. Some people aren't voting for Biden, they are voting against Trump because they believe Trump would bring something bad. That and their difference in age is apparently only.. 3 years. They both are at risk from their old age. Your Constitution probably accounted for a scenario when president suddenly passes away too, so, while it would be a tragedy, government wouldn't stop working from that.Biden lost the debate, since he was looking physically weak, and some media outlets got something to write about. But does the debate matter that much for this election? They would matter if majority of voters wouldn't have decided who to vote for, but as far as I am concerned everyone already have decided who they will be voting for and those debates just serve as some confirmation on each candidates position and what each candidate will do if they become a president. I don't think that these debates matter much for election. The people we need to show up to win this thing aren’t going to stand in line to vote for someone they view as a corpse, and after what I saw Thursday, I frankly don’t blame them. Like, for example, even I would prefer my ex-president for ONE year last election Ukraine had, than this clown we have in Ukraine for FIVE, that's how much I believe it would be better for my country. Average voter that decided on who to vote would probably make same decision, and given how much polarized USA is, I am pretty sure majority would stick to their guns. 17
The Flood / Re: Biden won the debate« on: June 30, 2024, 01:40:25 PM »Didn't watch. I don't like either of them and I'm voting third party just like last time (currently favoring Jasmine Sherman). Not that it matters, really. Missouri is a conservative lock pretty much.Matters, your vote matters. There's a common electoral technique, push random candidates to draw votes from the main candidates by having somewhat similar position or even similar names. When voting, you should consider your candidate's political career. Did they appear from nowhere, or did they have some smaller positions, local positions like for example, on level of town, and what were their position and result of their politics? Never will the people who come out from nowhere will bring any good, they either are already someone's pawns or, if they don't have any position, they will get easily manipulated by others. 18

Overall debates were depressing to watch because both candidates are old, and, well, one candidate seems to be wise and speaking with facts, with some defined position, yet physically weak and speech problems (while they aren't anything new, aren't helping), while other candidate energetic, proactive, yet when you will start analyzing what he said and start fact checking, well, the things don't match. Either way, seems like there's lack of younger people who would be passionate enough about politics that would have big public support to be a valid candidates for a president. 20

This will mean the 3.0 site will launch without stuff like PMs, Coup, administrator tools, private groups, etc. BUT it will also mean users can be hands-on ASAP.I am surprised nobody done a joke about a "Print" button being an essential feature that should be added ASAP yet. 22
Gaming / The Crew Ubisoft incident (Publishers destroying their video games)« on: April 07, 2024, 08:53:17 PM »
I wanted to bring some attention to somewhat old issue of publisher selling you an (online) game for an indefinite amount of time, only to take down servers some years afterwards so you couldn't play it anymore, some attempts to fix this issue, and why it may be very futile attempt since not enough people care, are not tech savvy enough to understand the issue or because people have attention span of a goldfish.
