Could you please look out for the Destiny version of the drink next time you buy it? I'd appreciate if you sent me the code for the bonus content. Since it's not available in Greece (and capital controls prevent me from buying a lot of things, including drinks from the UK) and I don't happen to enjoy energy drinks it makes it hard for me to get it. Some info here http://quest.redbull.com/us/en/

I fell asleep late again. Lately I can't fall asleep before four or perhaps five AM, I just lie on the bed and nothing really happens like it usually does. This time, again, I woke up late because of that (on top of my alarm choosing not to ring today, since I forgot to turn it on last night) and missed a class, again, so I am closing into the tread of failing the class due to absences despite getting an A in the midterm. (Turns out, if you don't show up at all then being a good student doesn't matter. A stupid policy that if you have half a brain it just forces you to be here than actually being productive)

To either a political failure between the Eurogroup and Greece, or a success for both, or that will only satisfy the needs of Greece, or certain state members of the EU. Unofficially it has been acknowledged that on April 9th Greece will actually run out of money, and it was predicted that Greece would run out money (earlier, last year) by April 20th, and the current situation in Greece is yelling that; there are very little people spending money, and many stores the last month especially are almost empty, except those in central urban areas who still saw a little amount of people.
So, I am opening this thread to actually discuss the effects it might have on your own country, and the US. Since, at least for Greece, I am quite sure that if people in Athens will wake up without money in their bank accounts an urban warfare will ensure shortly after. (Much worse than the situations throughout the previous government, and I am backing up this theory with general history of the past few years, and the overall mood around the Greek web, but I doubt that it will come to this horrible scenario, albeit other Greeks are pessimistic about Syria's durability in this tense moment of negotiation)

Brattin admits that the language might need some tweaking. "My intention wasn't to get rid of canned tuna and fish sticks," he said. But he also insists that people are abusing the system by purchasing luxury foods, and believes that that must be stopped, even if it ends up requiring the inclusion of other less luxurious items.
"I have seen people purchasing filet mignons and crab legs with their EBT cards," he said. "When I can't afford it on my pay, I don't want people on the taxpayer's dime to afford those kinds of foods either."
Currently, a household of one can qualify for up to $194 dollars a month, or fewer than $7 dollars day, as part of SNAP, according to the Department of Agriculture. For a household of two, it's roughly twice that. For a household of three, it's about three times the amount. On Wednesday, McDonald's announced that starting this July, it will increase wages for the 90,000 workers who are directly employed by one of the company's restaurants. The plan is to bring the current hourly wage up by $1; the average McDonald's employee will make $9.90 by July and $10 by 2016. Benefits like paid vacation time will be available for employees who have worked for the company for more than a year.
The raise, however, only applies to employees of the actual restaurant. The 750,000 workers employed by franchises, which make up 90 percent of McDonald's restaurants, are not included in this wage hike.

I was driving at the speed limit in the ring road where the speed limit is 90 km/h, coincidentally that is also the ideal cruising speed for my car. I was on the leftmost lane, due to the fact I had to turn left in the exit at the end of the ring road (mind you, you can go forward, left, and right, three exits)
So this huge 4x4 car is behind me. They flash their lights, as if I should move on the left, and they do it again. Of course, I don't move since that's the lane for my exit. (That is like 1km away at this point) What they do is then change to the middle lane, proceed to speed up to 120km/h, and more, go on the left lane while all the same beeping. (I calculated their speed based on how quickly they surpassed me, and how they reached the next car in the middle lane that was already going faster than me, and went into the left lane, and probably passed the orange light in the last moment by taking the dangerous curve at a high speed)
So Flood, met any geniuses on the roads lately?

An article written by Y. Dragasakis, E. Tsakalotos and Y. Varoufakis on the financial times explains the situation, and ongoing dealings. It is a common belief that the Greek government is seeking special treatment relative to other stressed eurozone members. We are not; we are seeking equal treatment.
Since the onset of the crisis, our economy has shrunk 26 per cent; unemployment has risen from 8 to 26 per cent; and wages have declined 33 per cent. These outcomes are worse than those experienced by any country during the 1930s and far worse than those projected under the two Greek adjustment programmes. This is why the Greek government has criticised these programmes.
Our fiscal adjustment has been larger than in other countries. Since 2009, spending cuts and tax increases amounting to more than 45 per cent of household disposable income have been implemented. In Portugal it was 20 per cent; in Italy and Ireland 15 per cent.
Not only have the fiscal measures been larger, but for each percentage point of consolidation, the economy has contracted more. This is because the Greek economy is less open than others; any decline in demand hits domestically produced goods more than imports. Successive rounds of austerity exacerbated the contraction in gross domestic product. And with that the ratio of debt-to-GDP rises, making debt dynamics unmanageable. Greece is borrowing ever more to pay back earlier debts. I am one of those few people who actually read the manuals, just because they featured some back story, list the features, and some other information about the game's world. What do you think of video game manuals now? Do they serve a purpose? Should a manual offer some light on the back story? Should the manual not even be given with the game anymore?

This paper explores and investigates the myriad of ways that video game narratives get modded post-play for feminist purposes (intentionally and unintentionally). Linkhttp://adanewmedia.org/2013/06/issue2-layne-blackmon/
I would like to know your thoughts, and discuss the paper. Before writing a reply with your thoughts, I would recommend to go through the whole paper. (It also has annotations at the end with sources)

We all know how messed the game industry currently is, where big publishers push for unfinished titles, big studios come and go, and the indie market is over-saturated with many games that get cheaper, and cheaper or that exclusively rely on revenue caled freemium.
Let's suppose that the game industry collapses again. Sony goes bankrupt, Microsoft drastically lowers the budget for games on the Xbox One and instead focuses on making it an entertainment device, when EA, and Activision start selling assets and closing studios, meanwhile big studios run out of funds and fire human talent, and the indie industry sees a wash out of many aspiring game developers as freemium games choke the market.
What do you think would come out from such a dark time for gaming? Do you think that the game industry needs to collapse completely to have a renaissance, or that such an exaggerated scenario isn't needed for the game industry to improve?

The trouble with game theory, as I used to tell my students, is that it takes for granted the players’ motives. In poker or blackjack this assumption is unproblematic. But in the current deliberations between our European partners and Greece’s new government, the whole point is to forge new motives. To fashion a fresh mind-set that transcends national divides, dissolves the creditor-debtor distinction in favor of a pan-European perspective, and places the common European good above petty politics, dogma that proves toxic if universalized, and an us-versus-them mind-set. The development of Sep7agon is continuing, so I felt like creating a main suggestion thread for me to work on. (I do check around the forums for other threads, still) However, think of this as the main line of getting to tell me an improvement on the website's design, structure and overall image for me to research upon. I would suggest to hold the following things in mind before venturing in this thread; - I will be sharing design concepts. None of these are samples, or views of possible applications on Sep7agon, but rather the research involved into getting somewhere meaningful.
- Suggestions are welcome to be of any kind relevant with the design, and the website structure. Without restriction, as long they are sensible and meaningful ones.
- Before writing a suggestion for my own research then please consider (a) Does this idea build onto a concept from Bungie.old? (b) Have I seen this idea applied somewhere else, if so where?

Sep7agon V2 has launched, and some patches need to be applied... While working with the code, I can't help but notice that much of the work itself that must be done to improve the website in a truthful way is in the underlying code, rather than the design choices.
So, I have two big projects at hand; one is about improving the current themes and modules that are used, and the second project involve writing from scratch the theme, and modules that are used by Sep7agon. Of course, I don't have time for both projects at a huge priority.
You have the opportunity to choose on how I dedicate my development time.
