That's right, I played the original on its original hardware. None of that remastered shit or MCC. Just looking at the title screen, I couldn't help but think "How the fuck did such a franchise with a simple premise become such a massive clusterfuck?"

Halo CE was simple but fun with its first game, with good gameplay, great story telling, and an excellent soundtrack, granted the multiplayer wasn't huge in the first game, but believe it or not, there was a time where people didn't buy a game for its multiplayer only, this game was purely bought for the campaign, and multiplayer in this was suppose to be like a party game with friends, and that's what it was before MLG was even a thing.

Just looking back at this game and even trying to compare it to Halo 5 is almost fucking impossible, Halo now has an identity crisis and its very nature has really dropped a new low.

People are right. The Halo Franchise is dead. There will never be another game like Halo CE again, or Halo 2, or Halo 3 even. Which is why I'm glad that they happened and we still have the games to enjoy.

And to anyone who's never really played through the original trilogy and has an interest in the story, if you want a pure unaltered experience, I strongly recommend getting and playing each game on its native hardware, but if you want it all on one system, MCC is a great way to play through the entire original trilogy.

Its also rather surreal how much forums use to be a large part of my life and now they're hardly a thing. Having a full time job making good money and working on other projects has really got me detached from forums in general. I'm not here everyday anymore like I used to be.

I'm still working for over a year now doing office work and making bank, I've saved up money I thought I'd never have and continue to save. Most of us oldschool Halo players don't really like Halo 4 and 5, well, Halo 5 mainly. Though personally I'm not a fan of Halo 4, and I maybe the only person who would originally buy a Halo game to continue the story, multiplayer was always an added bonus for me. I didn't start buying a Halo game for multiplayer until Halo 4.

Will I buy Halo 6? That depends. Since 343 really fucked up with Halo 5's story, here's a small idea on how they can redeem themselves or the series, otherwise Xbox and Halo are done.

First things first, Cortana. Instead of her being the main villain of the game now, The Chief ends up capturing her via the chip and taking her back to Halsey, having her fixed to be freed from her corruption Or, if Cortana is really gone since Halo 4, then that wouldn't be Cortana but a rampancy clone of Cortana. That would make a fuck of a lot more sense than saying that's Cortana. I don't like how an intelligent AI character in the story has been reduced to nothing more but a total nuance. Even Bungie made this mistake in Halo 3 with Cortana appearing in your HUD. Like, I can understand having it happen once on the first mission, but to have it happen again and again and again. Its just unfortunate.

2nd: We've been to all these locations in Halo 4 and 5, and have had the Halo ring only mentioned a few times. Why not actually go back to oh gee I don't know:

I'd love to explore Installation 05 again, or what about the other Installations? 343 has so many Installations to work with. Going back on The Ark in Halo 3, when on the level on the covenant, if I counted correctly there are at least 9 Halo rings that exist. Any one those 9 could easily be used in the story. Maybe you go to Installation 03 or 01 or hell even 07 to pay an homage to old Bungie with their obsession with 7. The possibilities are endless.

Just with these alone could potentially setup the foundation for a decent story to salvage the franchise one last time. The Flood could make a comeback and be released from an Installation no one has set foot on yet. It isn't too late.

Sadly, they will never do this. Chances are Halo 6 is only going to be dumbed down ever further than Halo 5 already is, and I'm sure Microsoft doesn't want Halo to go back to be an M rated title.

Halo's 1-Reach are worth playing along with the anniversary editions of Halo CE and 2 compared to the shit known as 4, 5, and presumably 6.

Unless anyone has a better idea (believe me I'd love to hear it) that would salvage the franchise, this is really the only building blocks I can offer to 343 for a decent story.

Another thing I will never understand is why the actual fuck would 343 hire people who hate Halo? That's like hiring people into your pizza place who hate pizza, its gonna suck!

Anyway, so what do you think? Can Halo 6 possibly redeem itself  and the franchise if done right? Or is it too late? Oh and going back to the art style Bungie used would also be a huge plus with the decent story at best.

Well, more so about how he's feeling. From what I've been able to gather from the information that Carson provided, it seems that Emily who actually taught violin even and had a concert that night, died in a car accident from my understanding in 2011.

I don't have a Facebook account but I found the picture of her grave on there. Its really sad.

I think to an extent Carson feels like he regrets not accepting to be her boyfriend, and for that he regrets it deeply, hence he's cutting himself.

Long distance (online) vs Real Life:

The only thing I can say is that as far as getting to a relationship long distance wise, and a good one mind you not a shitty one is that its like winning the lottery in terms of being your true other half. Its like winning the lottery to an extent. Regardless if you would be true to your date in real life, you should be true to anyone you date online as well, lying will always cause problems, what's more is that dishonestly will also fuck you right over. Trust is key to every relationship, if you can't trust someone that you genuinely love, you're not ready. What's more is that if they don't trust you, you're pretty much in trouble as it is. If this is the case it will evidently lead to a breakup. On top of that loving yourself is important, if you don't love yourself to start with, not even a little, you're not ready. You never will be ready until you do. It is also important for you to be yourself. Do not change who you are for someone else, if she doesn't like you for who you are, whether its online or in real life, then she's not for you. The right woman will come into your life, and when she does, you better do everything in your power to not screw it up, because if you do, you will deeply regret it.

Paying for dates

This is implying that you have a date in real life, or that you have finally met with the person that you were dating online and in real life and now you're going out on an actual real life date. I'm just going to be blunt with this. If she's completely worth it, practice chivalry. Hold the door open for her, pull the chair for her to sit down, pay for the dinner or movie is another thing to do if you are at that level. Dates do not have to cost money. You can have a picnic at a park. If the girl you are with does not like the idea a picnic at a park and doesn't find it romantic to start with, she's probably not a quality girl to be with, especially if she only wants paid dates and for you to pay for it every time as a result. There's a difference between treating her to dinner and getting taken advantage of by a stuck up bitch.

Going out on a date in general is what allows you to get to know her much more and gives you a chance to talk to her as well.

Misc.

If everything after the dating phase works out and you two pretty much become a couple, hopefully you have the right match. As far as things like sex go, if its your first time, wear a condom. If anything wear a condom the first few times until she can actually be trusted. Nothing is worse than doing it raw the first time, cumming inside her and then getting her knocked up as a result and having a child you didn't want to have, as well as making you the father pay for child support. You really need to be careful who you fuck, if a girl you are with hates condoms and won't even take the pill, fucking run. Nothing is worse than getting a woman pregnant early in the relationship  or getting an STD from her if she's not even clean. Also if she can be trusted and all as well when it comes to the bedroom, do everything you can to please her, she's not here to only pleasure you and she's not obligated to have sex with you. Do not force her or making her feel uncomfortable in any way about it.

Trust is key to a relationship, on top of that find out what you both like and enjoy it, and know that someone who has the same personality as you and has 98% of things in common, is a really good match, you shouldn't take that at face value.

Oh and another thing, stay faithful! If you cheat, to put it forth this way, you don't deserve someone special in your life. Ever.

Also yes you could have sex after dating right away, but its gonna depend on you and the girl honestly.

As far as age goes, date someone legal and within your age range, not out of it.

That's pretty much all there is to it, don't be too nervous, enjoy the time you have with whoever you're dating, be polite, be clean, and treat her well. Otherwise I don't even know why you read this thread.
