Sounds like something out of a movie almost.
I'm proud of that too xD

It took a bit of planning and an awful lot of luck to get it all right, but somehow it all went well.

As long as you're not that young. A 22 year old from my high school graduating class got married recently. Lol, like that is going to last.
Well we're both 19, maybe for some people it does or doesnt work, but that's really for them to decide, we, have something very different, something very close. I cant entirely explain it, only time can really tell.

Oh....and it's not a kid if that's what youre thinking xD

Nein, it all started because someone tied my shoes together and she came to help me (this was at school), then we stayed in the room too long and as it turns out the school deb ball was being organised in that room too, so we got caught into the mix and once the ball ended a few weeks later we started dating.

I proposed to my girlfriend of 3 years last night, and she said yes :3

After taking her out to the movies, then dinner (it was also her birthday) I took her back to the beach and before showing her the ring, presented her with a muffin with a candle, its pretty cute now that I think back, then told her to close her eyes and I got on my knee, told her to open her eyes and she opened them to see a ring. Made the poor thing cry, but it was with happiness.

So, soon she will actually be Mrs Batch :3

Not even Queensland man....I did have a Queenslander drive past me the other day, stopped at the lights next to me and told me he was going to shoot me and my Girlfriend.....I really don't like them all that much now.

*sips tea*
You moved south? I thought you were up in queensland with cheese potato?
I lived in QLD when I first joined the site 6 years back, a few months after that I moved to NSW and living in the same place since.

I work at my local postal office, more then just mail these days though.

>New guy comes in....slightly worried
>Turns out he's in training for management in a close town
>I get the job of supervising him, and training him
>Been working there for only 4 months, feel like a boss
>Majority of the time was fine, helped him through what he needed to do
>This guy is 40ish, not dumb, but the job is confusing at times
>Old lady comes up, looks at me
>"So you training to work here"
>THE HAND, IT HUNGERS!
>Lay back my granny slappin hand
>"other way round m'am"
>She's clearly shocked

What the hell is wrong with a younger person being more experienced in a much more mature job then another....damn older generations thinkin we're useless.

Did get a few compliments on helping the new chap, even if it does really look like he's training me, but I was very vocal about what he should be doing, so most of the people got the idea.
I still get comments about me being 'the new guy' though which genuinely irritate me at times, I may be slightly baby faced (Mrs Batch says its cute shut up :c ) but that doesn't mean us younger people can't take the more serious roles.

So, as a side note, relinquish your frustration of the older generations underestimating our potentials.

I am not trying to give you shit. A lot of people give you a hard time because of your reactions, but I can never tell if they are genuine or if you are sometimes trolling.

Who mutes? If you can't take the heat you're a darn pussy.

*sips tea*
so how do you feel about moderation
Depends, people here are mean all round in general, ain't nothing new. I wouldn't say it's breaking any rules unless it's some absurd blatant swearing. Anything that warrants a ban/warning would include constant shitposting, absurdly offensive content...or constant abusive of one member.....like I think we're all mostly adults so we can take a punch and give it back, shouldn't be an issue.

There is always a line though, to when it affects one's well being, that when a mod should at least warn, and a member mute.
