Light of URs works better for that.
"Enemy core a- we've taken out the enemy core" plays in the span of about 4 seconds. So fast they don't even know what happened.
Pool of Radiance and standard variants have a painfully slow RoF, but man Light of Urs is some op shit when taking down enemy cores.

We had Red and Gold when I was growing up I think, but because I was so young, that start game bit where you couldn't do anything until you got a Pokemon seemed to be impossible to figure out. It took me until Pokemon Sapphire to be able to get past the start of the game, so I had a bit of a sour view of Gen 1 and 2 (and Zelda II/OoT for similar reasons) growing up. I didn't get to complete a Gen 1 game to a significant degree until about 2012, but even then I got stuck at the Sea Foam Islands and gave up, coming back and defeating the Elite Four in Yellow version in 2014. It was fun overall but a lot of detracting factors in a game with such a reputation. It's like how The Legend of Zelda was really horribly polished, but ended up being a legendary game anyway.

I've legitimately killed scorpions with DMR fire. I can melt a standard banshee in seconds. Wraiths are too easy since the weak points are on the front of it. Warthogs except for ONI's are jokes.
Does it still count if I found them on the ground because tfw no DMR cert, and they don't have kinetic bolts? Also most of the enemies I've come up against have been competent enough to force me into cover/drive out of range without me killing them. I still have played less than 20 games tho.

Not always. Sometimes you just want to hop into a match and not spend time scrolling through overpopulated or completely barren lobbies, or walls of servers with the most retarded rules or settings.
That said, however, including a server browser never hurt anyone, and can only make things better.
tfw 2016 and it's still not a standard feature to have an option for both in online multiplayer games

I don't like the direction 343 took with the story, and there are only like 2 armour pieces that don't look like something a concept artist throws in the trash at the end of a doodling session. Probably just rose tinted glasses tbh. If we were taking the MP's in their current state then H5 hands down, but CE's multiplayer on custom and vanilla maps was fun for a long time after launch, before it became a pure beanerfest, and I've made my opinion of H5's online pretty clear in other threads. It's fantastic tbh

yeah the Wii-U's net card is terribad. It's supposed to be pretty good online if you use a USB-Ethernet adapter, but otherwise enjoy some Halo 3-tier input lag fams.

Are you sure it's not just MCC's netcode being absolutely shit? Played Halo 3 last year when it said 5300 people were online, and I still got a match in 5 minutes.

Probs Halo CE tbh. I spent a fair few thousand hours playing its MP, and the non-modded maps had maybe 4 weapons you could actually use, and the netcoding is so abhorrently shit that even having 1 less MS of ping gives you a noticeable advantage.
That said, the popular mods are so broken that it's not even fun anymore. There's this map called Bigass or something that was released several times since 2013 with slightly different states, and everybody plays it because "muh reach reskin," and each match always starts off the same: 10 minutes where absolutely nothing happens because it's so big it takes ages to find an enemy, and then once somebody camps at the cliffs of the enemy team's base with a Tank/Sniper/Gauss rifle/Hog, that team automatically wins as their base becomes a meat grinder. Also the grenades are even worse than vanilla CE and Reach Beta combined, as their blast radius can easily encompass a tank.
Most of the vanilla maps nowadays were modded by some beaner whos' idea of fun is placing teleporters literally everywhere, so most of those servers are unplayable too, but pre-2010 was a fun time fams.

First Halo game where dying/getting a kill online actually feels like it happened because of a superior play and not just lag induced port priority/RNG luck on the weapon spread tbh. It actually makes me want to learn the meta as religiously as I did Halo 1 ayy.
And while Vehicles are still pre weak, I'm pleased to report that spamming a DMR at one hasn't worked for me once yet. Promising signs, and I'm almost starting to regret purchasing a Wii-U instead of an XB1 now.

FE is definitely over-represented (there's actually six FE reps now), but Samus is pretty much the only noteworthy Metroid character who would fit in with the rest of the roster, and F-Zero hasn't been relevant since... basically ever. Captain Falcon remains only because he's part of the original 12, and because he's a meme.
Oh, I was talking more about in general for F-Zero/Metroid, specifically in the lack of production of a new significant title in recent years. I agree that even including Samurai Goroh, Blood Falcon or Black Shadow would really be stretching it, and I'm anti-ridley on the Metroid front. It just seems like Sakurai or Nintendo are trying way too hard to push Fire Emblem with Sm4sh. They have no excuse to not make a new title. "We don't know what we can do to add something new to the franchise" doesn't hold up when they've been shitting out remakes like nobody's business for the past few years.
