They're valid complaints tbh, it's not like their entire opinion of the game is revolving solely around a late Forge and gametype inclusion, and nobody is holding Reach to some unrealistically high benchmark and labeling it as the title all Halo games should aspire to be.

Went to what was meant to be a weekly tournament last night. 2 other players showed up and the TO had us playing 3 player Smash on random Omega stages the entire time. We ended up ditching early and going back to their place for some doubles and 1v1s, and a bit of melee after that. Geez Melee makes you think a lot more about following up your attacks compared to Sm4sh, and you need to be more precise with your inputs too. It was good fun. Definitely going to be practicing my tech when I get my own copies of each game.

So I got 9th for the 3rd time in a row, this time in Tallahassee. Barely lost to the campiest kirby player I've ever seen in winners second round. Almost timed him out game 2 but landed an upsmash to win, so I  won either way. Then game 3 last stock kill percent for both on battlefield, died from an up throw on the platforms of course. So I got sent to losers. One thing I can appreciate in Tallahassee is the variety of characters. I actually fought a palutena and a toon link.

Steamrolled over 5 people in Losers, then played and lost to Mr. Bones, a great bowser player from Georgia.

Got 4th in doubles with Booty Poppin, whom I've never partnered with.

If you're facing off against a kirby nigga better pray you get to ban 2 stages, because an up throw beneath the platforms on Duck Hunt or battlefield at high % is game ogre. Sounds like good variety tho fam. Also stop treating the roads like a race track you delinquent.

it's not--most competitive players think it's stupid, and i think it's actually banned in some tournaments
or, they make you stop after a certain percentage

it's way harder to perform than it looks, though, which is why i think it's kept around

It's only inherently complex in Brawl. Melee wobbling is a simple matter of down tilting at 200 bpm to make it inescapable. IIRC wobbling past 150% counts as stalling and results in a DQ but I've seen tourney footage of people going close to 200% without repercussions.
