Jump attempts for me were always 50% successful, 25% falling and grabbing the ledge to repeat the jump and 25% falls to doom/an inconvenient drop. It was about as smooth a system as Wii motion controls. that post was more of an addendum to my reply to LC

my point being, if you're trying to imply some degree of hypocrisy on nintendo's part, it's not hypocritical from a business standpoint, and nintendo should not be expected to operate under any other standpoint
I'm not saying it's hypocritical from a business standpoint, I'm saying their specific approach to making Games is stupid because they're leaving some potential underutilized. It isn't exclusive to the F-Zero franchise either.
