I treat both mainstream and alt media with scepticism, so if subject is something I care about (and if something affects me then I care about it) I check multiple sources of information and then form my own opinion.
I don`t think that there is a clear line between mainstream and alt media. Whenever the question is to compare two or more entities, first question always is how you define these and usually it has at least half of the answer in itself.

Also imagine that it's gonna be (by this article) bot's work and it can misflag your photos. Even if there will be some sort of for example tea company on your cup and your photo capture it, it might flag you from stealing that company emblem.
