I rely too much on monetary purchases to show care for someone. I hardly see my brother who lives in New Jersey for example and he might talk to me once a week if I'm lucky. So I every once in a while I'll get him an expensive gift (I usually get the expensive items because they're crazy good, not because of the price tag). And if it's something small I definitely see where you're coming from and agree to some extent. But at the same time, I want to show that I put effort into giving somebody something, because to me that's much more valuable. I shouldn't have to buy care from people that are important to me. I want Senpai to know that they're not just another internet friend to me. I hardly know Senpai but they've done a considerable amount to me in such a short amount of time and broke some social struggles I've been facing since middle school. I want them to know I care but I don't want to seem weird or creepy at the same time. Why don't you want to buy something though?

True, I dunno though. I'm starting to get doubt about drawing. I'm starting to just doubt the entire idea. In general it seems silly and over complicated, I don't like looking like a try hard in anything. You could always not draw the other people, you know.

That's creepy tbh fam, and I don't have any images of just them by themselves. Don't. Stalk them on the internet, find a photo, use that as a basis for the portrait, and then tell them that you drew it from memory. Make sure you make enough differences in the photo from the original as to not draw suspicion.

So I decided to go with the drawing idea, but I need a photo of them for reference. How should I ask for one?

Don't have that either....my hands are really tied..... I was thinking about a plushie but I don't know how to sew/stitch together anything. I was originally going to go with a personalized fleece blanket with some sort of message on it, however I still need sewing experience. What you offered though would've have been perfect though had I a picture like you stated. If it's someone close to you and you have a picture featuring the two of you, make a custom picture frame. That's what I'm doing for my favorite teacher before I graduate.

Oh God who brought Biden here?
I mean he's saying true things, but come on, do we need to have this conversation at The Oscars?

I will admit then that I used a poor choice of words (I'm not going to edit my posts because I'm just too lazy), my post wasn't meant to trigger people over the use of words, I was just wanting to be clear that I'm not religious but I'm also not without it as well. Once again, I apologize. And again, that doesn't make it a religion. Just because you serve "external" forces doesn't make you religious.

This was an idea I had in mind, but another arbitrary restriction being: If I had to ship it to say WA, food would be a bit difficult. Also I want something that [ I hope] will be cherished for a while. Oh, uh, how about a cake or some other type of food? That'd be easy to make.

Chief describes my calling it one: MAx Stirner wrote that atheists were pious people. This is true. Most, if not all, Atheists formulate their own arbitrary religions based on abstract, socially imposed gods, rather than personal ones. They may lack a belief in afterlife or things which are beyond their senses, but this is the only distinction. There is still the veneration of saints (thinkers, scientists, leaders, reformers), places of worship (various- the university is a popular one), and a myriad of value systems. I'm not really interested in your religious views, to be blunt. Just why you believe that atheism is one.

One of the two answers I have was already posted in the previous page I think, just too lazy to go find it. The TL;DR answer is: I'm a fence sitter on the idea of a God/Gods existing. There's too much crazy shit in the world to be absolute in my view on it. How exactly is "atheism" a religion? You cannot have a religion without a god, and atheism is that by definition.

Well that would certainly be a unique/out of the box idea, however it's not quite what I have in mind (basically anything other than that). Make a dildo.

So I have a very small idea in my head for something, however part of the problem I currently facing right now is I have literally zero experience with crafting in anyway. It's not one of those things where "It's okay if it's shit it's the thought that matters" it's a matter of: I can't make anything period. Does anyone know any easy gifts to make? Preferably something small (like slightly bigger than a hand or a small teddy bear).

I don't have a religion tbh (and no that even excludes Atheism). I just brought up that one because it's still weaboo (gotta keep with what's been thrown at me) and it's kind of niche outside Japan. Why was I under the impression you were Christian?

I don't know what's worse, the fact that John Willimas is getting older, or the fact that BB-8 is going to become a fucking staple to Star Wars on the same level as 3PO and R2. john williams is almost dead
