EDIT: I looked up the stats myself. I can't vouch for most of 2015 since I didn't come back for real until December. But yes, month by month we are lower by about 10-15k. But we're not even half way through the year yet so I wouldn't call us dead yet. However last year's total seems a tiny bit inflated from a single month being grossly high in comparison to the rest. i can't say i've noticed the dip in activity recently, but looking at the numbers, it's very real

Only if you're in the Central FL area. Come live with me, rent would be like $100.

How would someone know she was crazy or drunk? This app was specifically designed to rate you as an individual from not only friends and family, but coworkers and employers as well. Not only would it make sense for another potential employer to use to to examine you, but to be hesitant when Jim from accounting says you're a lazy do nothing slacker simply because you're leaving the company for a better job and is trying to sabotage you, but you're would-be new management doesn't know that. They only see a post from someone who worked with you claiming you weren't adequate with your job. Social media contains posts that you actually made yourself, not a bunch of bullshit your crazy ex girlfriend made up when she was drunk

So a year ago I made the decision that I'd rather work through building my career than education. When I posted my decision on B.net a year ago, I was met with quite a but of criticism, mostly because everyone thought I was being irrational in doing so. They may have been partially right.
While I do admit, I turned my back on it because of other completely unrelated matters at the time made the upkeep of work impossible. However, four years after graduating high school, I'm still incredibly bitter about how fucking uncaring the education system is to me as a student, and in all honesty? At the time I felt college was no different. I'm partially to blame though, I had no idea what I wanted to do so I just took Gen Eds part time, one or two classes a term without ever really deciding on a major. So after I while I may have felt that it wasn't the right place for me, especially when councilors and advisers had no interest in helping someone who didn't already have a plan set out.
Now I'm kind of looking back from a birds eye view and seeing things from a more objective lens. I'm significantly more happy with where I am now then I was a year ago. I [kind of] have an idea of what I would want to do, and I've been making sure to look up what paths they take to ensure I'm not stuck with any more Gen Eds than I need. It will be sometime though before I do go back, my living situation being the biggest wall to that, I have zero interest in moving back in with my mom but if I can't get room mates that aren't fucking squatters It'll be longer before I can get back into the swing of things.
Does anyone have any advice as to how I should proceed with possibly starting up school again? I don't really know where I left off outside of what core classes I had already finished.

Yeah, I mean social media in general is just for socializing right? It's not a legitimate service. Any business that takes it seriously is never going to make it.

You will when you go to a job interview, they look you up on Yelp for people! and see that I posted a review stating you make anti-Semitic comments and you're favorite past time is yelling sextets insults at women by the bus stop. Doesn't matter if it's not true, they wont be so quick to hire you. Who gives a shit.

Communities like these are held together by people holding a number of similar interests. Ultimately what people need to realize that this is simply an off branch forum with a community inside it. There's nothing wrong with advertising, getting new people, and increasing activity, because you make friends that way and the community becomes stronger. That's how B.net was before Bungie lost sight of themselves. Ultimately it's those friendships and positive interactions we have on here that keeps people in. If you're not attached to the people you communicate on here with, you're not going to be attached with the entire site itself. That's how it was for me when I first came here, I didn't really have any connections with anybody here except for maybe Das, so I dropped off the site, and legitimately only come back for one other person. However in returning I made more friendships and had more positive interactions, you guys keep me here just by going through the motions. Of course I'm not like everybody, ultimately there's going to people that want more than just to post dank memes. Game nights are perfect for this, but it seems no one is really in the mood to do it since people have a pretty split opinion on almost every game. If we had more newcomers, game nights could become a more frequent experience since you'll have a larger pool of possible players. Also, the drama against other users certainly doesn't help. When you have people bitching and moaning about one another, that might be more detrimental than the place simply being slow. The site in its current state is the reason people are leaving and/or posting less, by not doing anything about it or changing we can assume the site will continue on this trajectory. If there are lurkers and newcomers we need to give them a reason to stay, I like this place I don't want it to fall

There's no reason to discuss something away from users that already know what's up. And what would be discussed that we haven't mentioned already? The only issue is a lack of active members. Keep in mind when viewing who's online on the front page, during prime time a good half of them are just lurking. This isn't some site destroying crisis, we just need more people. Is Cheat and co discussing this or not? I really feel like we should bring about changes to improve the forums

Yeah, I mean there's more goof stuff IMO coming out but as far as something actually interesting me? Unlikely, thankfully Gundam is rightfully back in UC so there's something for me to watch right now. However, I feel like I'm just looking for a show to buy me over until Shin Eva comes out since Godzilla is coming out in a few months which means the last movie will finally begin to surface. After that's released I have no idea what's going to happen to my interest in this hobby, unless Type-Moon announces a remake of the Fate route. Yeah I mean it does depend on what you are looking for to watch
I still only end up picking 1-2 shows per season because so much of it looks like degenerate crap.

Less than what I remember, while we still have a significant amount of SoL they're not all Moe garbage like they were back when I first started. Maybe I'm just seeing things with clouded judgement now that we're getting REAL Gundam titles instead of trash like Reconguista and AGE. Eeeeeeeeh
It is getting better but there is still a shitload of moeblob each season

I'd argue 2010-Now is better. We're getting less Moe blob cancer and more legitimate shows. 2006-2012 was pretty great

I want to get Unicorn Gundam V. Kai MG but it's just so damn expensive even without the shipping. I still have an MG or two lying around that I never got to finish, come to think of it.

It's a joke saying you kidnap people and make them your friends. It's just me being mean. Sweet gif, confused as to how it applies to me tho. BanningKupo.gif
