The comment about advice wasn't addressed to you specifically, but anyone who finds themselves in financial situation they're not happy with.

As for the middle class, the link I showed you shows that's statistically untrue. Average household income has been hovering anywhere between 50k-58k since the mid-80's. When it comes to living "comfortably" that's entirely up to the individual. A single individual with no ties can live comfortably far below 50k a year, it's when they choose to get married or raise a child or go beyond what they can afford as far as living expenses is when the comfort begins to be stressed.

Yes, cost of living has been slowly been creeping up but so has the amount of jobs which can enable you to combat the cost of living.

The wages people are being paid is not enough and the fact that if you pay these same people too much ($15) this whole system falls apart is another huge problem with the way things are.

The way things are being that only a handful of people get to live comfortably. The middle class in America that was at one point thriving is now decreasing every year. It's the same everywhere else.

I don't understand what you're belittling here.

"you can make it little nigger boy :)"

Indentured servants were forced into their condition that led to a viscous cycle. If you make enough money to not only support yourself but also to afford things that you WANT (which can be anything from your hobbies to raising a child) than you are not indentured. We can argue about whether or not being paid only 7.25 an hour is the same as being indentured, but we'll just go around in circles with this argument since it's been proven the majority of people are paid more than 7.25 an hour.

It's not about poor old me, I'm talking about everybody being indentured servants.

Will they only be worth 3/5th of what Jackson's $20s are worth?

If you really disapprove of Jackson, you might want to consider keeping him on the $20 bill. The man killed the national bank, he hated the idea of a government bank, and now here he is on a $20 Federal reserve note. Do you honestly think he would be upset being removed from it?

no its nice to be able to kick jackson in the balls by removing him from the $20

I definitely agree that there is oppression in various forms throughout the work force, but as far as the majority being poor, that is statistically untrue. Unless you count making 40-50K a year as being "poor".

It's not as black and white as you're trying to imply. Just because you're not a billionaire doesn't mean you're poor. Are you an independent making less than 20K a year? Strongly consider going to college (it should be "free" [I use that term sparingly] at this point for you), or work on advancing yourself up the corporate ladder. However, nothing will happen if you continue to go through the motions.

You will always have options, it's never too late to make a change. But if someone is content with where they're at, they don't have a right to complain about how much they get paid.

"lmao just become a billionaire bro"

Even if I won the lottery or started some sort of business that became the next Microsoft, that doesn't change the fact that the vast majority of people are poor and oppressed.

Serious / Re: Peeple app launched, and it's disgusting.
« on: April 20, 2016, 04:25:13 PM »
How can I trust that this policy wont change? The makers of this app are social media butterflies that only responded this way because they thought the criticism was "Ironic" and keep in mind that their development after the backlash (let's not dodge the fact that this app has received HEAVY backlash) was incredibly dark. It's not unlikely they would be the kind of people who would revert this policy and have your negative reviews go public even without your consent, considering the only way to get it removed is through a paid service.

The keywords would be "that review might not be public, but it exists in a digital format on the company’s servers." Their personal data policy seems pretty solid. So no, I don't see how anyone is forced to participate at all.

Actually....

The company noted, too, that “no one can add you to the app” — making it sound as if being reviewed on Peeple is an opt-in experience.

That’s not entirely true, however.

Peeple’s own website says you can still write “recommendations” (i.e. reviews, but not necessarily positive ones) for anyone who’s not on the app, then choose to invite that person to join Peeple.

In other words, even if you’re not participating, someone could write your review. Sure, that review might not be public, but it exists in a digital format on the company’s servers.

But no one is forcing you to participate in it

Take those apps with a grain of salt and understand that not everyone is using them.

Are you looking for just a hookup? If not then just uninstall them, that's all they're good for. I thought about using them once, then I remembered how I used legitimate dating services online in the past, and they were trash. If legitimate services are a failure, what would make something like Tindr/Grindr any better?

This statement will always be a failure since people who use it are under the impression that all resources that are being "hoarded" are somehow finite. This isn't a game of StarCraft where the resources are automatically limited on the playing field, you have ample opportunities to build yourself up with whatever money you have.

I think it's great how the normal and "educated" point of view is one of maintaining the status quo where exceedingly wealthy people hoard everything for themselves while everybody else struggles to get by.

No fam, it takes a lot for me to consider someone toxic. Precious Tritium for example, is quite toxic, but that's because he runs his mouth on personal issues to try and be edgy.

Am I toxic yet?

That would be accurate if it wasn't for the fact that Hitler thought guns were inefficient at mass killings.

I think the battle of New Orleans was his best work.

The no good Crumpet lovers outnumbered New Orleans 8 to 1, so they were probably expecting the world's easiest victory at the time. What they probably weren't expecting though was a deranged drunk of a general waiting 20 years for the opportunity to kill them all. And he almost succeeded.

Look at him, look at him just standing there unafraid at the possibility of getting shot. The only thing on his mind is making the dirty tea drinkers PAY.

Andrew Jackson is the BEST president.

>Survived 103 duels
>Fucked a bitch while she was still married
>Beat his would-be assassin with a cane until he had to be pulled back by senators because he was too rough
>In one duel, he got shot, raised his pistol and shot the other guy with a bullet near his heart
>Killed the national bank
>Defended New Orleans from 8000 red coats with the help of MOTHER FUCKING PIRATES and freed slaves
>Sent red coats with tails behind their legs after they suffered nigh 2100 casualties, killing all commanding officers and while only sustaining 13 deaths and 58 injured
>Receives 1400 pounds of FUCKING CHEESE
>Wife complains about the smell after two years
>He gives the common man some forks and invites them over to eat the cheese wheel
>Gone within two hours
>His parrot had to be removed from his funeral because it swore to much

Gaming / Large or small clans/guilds
« on: April 20, 2016, 10:31:57 AM »
So my Free Company was just disbanded, Out of 10 or so people that were on every night it went down to just me being active and one guy just signing in to tend to his garden and Chocobo. So now I'm without a guild, I still have the 4chan chat channel to keep me company though.

But it puts me back into a situation of having to decide if I want to be part of a large or small group. Back in the Halo days, I preferred being a part of a smaller group. It kept the number of people actively doing custom games, social games, or ranked games somewhat consistent. Here in MMO's I'd rather have a smaller group due to the nature of MMO's being over-glorified IRC chat channels. My only problem with a smaller group is having to break the ice with people who are already close knit with each other.

I was wondering what you guys prefer (if you do clans/guilds at all). Perhaps I can get insight for my decision when hunting for another Free Company.
