I'm in a similar position but with differing views.
My grandfather is in terrible condition and is staring death in the eyes. With my dad already gone, he wants me to inherit a watch that's been passed down for generations. It's like worth $50k or something like that, it's really ancient. Problem is, I don't want it. If I was forced to have it, I wont sell it, but with the way I live, it wont be kept in the pristine condition it's in now. Furthermore, I fully intend to take the wife's last name when I get married but neither of my strict BLOODLINE grandparents know that and they would disown me if they found that out. I already told my sister that she should have it when he does die because she's much more caring about familial possessions than I am, but we agreed only me, her, and our mom can know about her having it afterwards.
Am I in the wrong for doing this?

The more you all pick at the fringe, the more you'll regret it later down the line. Four years ago, the left was so fucking DESPERATE to demonize Romney. Practically foaming at the mouth in a vein effort to insinuate him being a racist, a Nazi, Satan incarnate. He was literally just Obama with a lighter skin tone. Maybe if everyone stopped attacking rhetoric with rhetoric and stopped stooping so low to insults, we wouldn't be in a situation of Trump vs. Clinton. Maybe we might have been in a position of Bernie vs. someone half-decent.
There is no lesser of two evils here, both are equally shit. One's just liquid and the other is a huge pile.

They learn that buying their favorite cereal, shoes, mattress type, and other commodities is a Hell of a lot better than taking the bare minimum quality the state will provide with an increase in taxes. I was pretty anti-socialist even before getting a job. Getting one only hardened that resolve.
Not that there shouldn't be a safety net for people who can't afford to make the choice, it's just that if you have the money to afford choosing brands in the private market, there should be no stopping you from making the better purchase.

I haven't been able to post because lack of computer, sorry for the late reply. Why does Gingrich run for president despite knowing he wont win? Same for both the Pauls and Santorum? The whole process on how big filthy rich guys running for the office is because campaigning makes them money. Trump is no exception, he's a business man. Despite how everyone wants to flaunt his bankruptcies, they're quick to mention how he was smart enough to use those to make millions and not pay taxes. Whether people like it or not, if he was an idiot with money before he sure as Hell isn't now. Why would he run for an office that only makes him $400k a year when he's not allowed to run his businesses for four years and then royally fuck up EVERY WEEK the last month before the election? I don't doubt that he isn't trying with his campaign, but to say he isn't trying to cash in on it as well is pretty silly. His MAGA hats probably cost about two bucks to make. He then sells them for 25-35 bucks and all he needs is a backer of ten dollars to make five of them and then sell them at 5x the cost. Running for office is making him money. Trump was always a polarizing figure, a celebrity that said crazy shit even before the election. If he lost he still has his wealth plus all the money he made on the MAGA hats and shirts and fences that he doesn't have to give back. I would say that Trump is a walking contradiction to his statements. He talks about how America isn't great anymore, and how we can't win again. Yet he shows that someone can be the worlds biggest ass hole/douche bag and still be a multi-millionaire. This is COSTING him money

This tells me Regula Van Hydrus will ultimately meet his demise in The Warring Triad story line since we've never really had a focus on two legionaries at once, even with Gaius and Nael both alive and in Eorzea during 1.0. I'm glad we're FINALLY starting to shift focus to the Empire and while the primal gimmick is still a thing, it's being less at the fore front. It had all of ARR, the second half of Heavensward, and half the 3.X patch series to hog the spotlight. The Empire needed to be the primary focus for a long time now.
