I like how Palmer's face barely changed.

Further proving how much of a garbage character she is.

To my understanding you gotta keep it up because your body will always try to produce a certain amount of each, but I don't think it's as big of a thing as you get older since after your 40s your hormone balance will start to fuck itself up on its own.

I've always wondered something about trans folk. Because our bodies naturally produce their respective hormones, does that therefore mean anybody who is trans has to keep taking suppliments to counteract the balance of naturally produced hormones versus delivered? Or is there some sort of balancing point where your body is just altered enough that it switches to producing the opposite kind in greater quantity naturally?

You can always try the old pee on a towel and wrap it around your head trick to keep cool

If you're afraid to do it you can always find other guys around you to pee on it for you
Wait, it's fucking urine?! They told me it was lemonade!

FUCK

I spent over an hour grinding in the TV world and the Gods damned game crashed and my last save was right before I started grinding. Granted that's not terribly bad since all I was doing was running around and killing trash mobs, but I still gained an easy ten levels and well over 200k in money and all of it was just thrown away in an instant.

What a fucking shitshow this game.

Spoiler
One of the two, (Ellie or Abby) should have died. How can you you tell a story about revenge and have the message at the end be about not continuing the cycle by killing the person who killed your loved one when you spent the entire time playing as the vengeful massacring people on your way to finding your target? Think all the loved ones of those people you killed are just gonna forgive and forget? Ellie made absolutely no fucking sense, guy saved her from his partner feeding her alive to a tied up lich, gives her all the info she wants and STILL shoots him.

And when she finally has Abby literally crucified for her, having her justice handed to her on a silver platter, she frees her follows her to the boats and waits for her to leave and only THEN does she decide to do a 180 and take her revenge? Stops only at the very edge cause of a split shot a Joel? Makes the entire journey completely worthless; she goes on this quest of retribution and ends up with nothing, even lost a few fingers to go with her missing father figure.

Neil listen to me, you'll never write the script to an Oscar-bait movie. I know that's not what you want to hear, you're certainly pretentious and self-absorbed enough for it, but you're just not that good at it.

Aren't some Confederate Generals remembered more for their battle strategies/tactics and are still being taught to this day? Seems like just as good a reason to keep a statue up when you really know how to keep your opponent back while having your hands tied behind you.

Monuments of confederates make sense in the context of a place where they were important historically speaking. A statue of Lee or Picket or Longstreet at Gettysburg or a memorial to any person slain there is not out of place nor necessarily glorifying any cause. A statue of Lee in the middle of a city in Tennessee erected during Jim Crow for the intent of scaring the niggers back in to remembering their place is not historically relevant and should be tossed for something more culturally relevant to the place it was in.

Halo 3 flight extended to the 26th and more invites were sent out.

Hoping that means more 8v8 because every other playlist except maybe Infection is virtually unplayable right now with the skill gap.

I'd wait until we get an official announcement from Khara on the state of the movie as a whole before making the decision. If the movie really is getting delayed by a year might as well watch it since it's going to be the only thing Eva related we'll get until next April (Japanese advertising cuts really close to the actual release of the film). If it's still coming out this year then hold off for the full movie.

Imagine the Asuka space scene in 3.0, only it takes place in Paris instead and replaces Asuka with Mari.

is the 10-minute preview worth seeing right now, or should i hold off

Nice review, I don't know if I could make anything nearly as in depth. I will just bring up some additional points for you to consider.

The original FUNimation translation was apparently really bad and caused Khara to go overboard and oversee the translation process for the English rewrite. This caused lines and terms to end up really awkward and almost confusing like "Vessel of Adams" which is worse since we still don't know what that even is. They did the same thing for the Netflix adaptation of NGE which is why we get shit like "Fourth Children" when referring to a single Eva pilot.

There's a little bit more to in-universe mechanics than what is actually explained through dialogue in Q.

For example, I completely question Kaworu's motives throughout the whole movie because when he showed Shinji the ruined Tokyo-3, he conveniently leaves out the fact that he came down with the Mark 06 and halted Near-Third Impact; he does this again when both are in Lilith's chamber as he talks about the Mark 06, refusing to mention he was the original pilot. Had Shinji known either of these facts (or both) it might have led him to asking more questions and getting answers that would have him question whether or not he's really guilty. I assume Khara didn't go this route because although we're put into Shinji's shoes for a lot of this movie, we're still an audience that gets information that Shinji doesn't through scenes he doesn't appear in, and going over Kaworu's role as the Mark 06's pilot may have been thought of as simply regurgitating facts in a movie that is crunching its own runtime.

Furthermore, Shinji never questions the fact that he's responsible for Near-Third Impact, but that N3-I is NOT the same as the actual Third Impact which is what caused all the destruction and loss of life. I see comments like "N3-I caused real 3I so Shinji is still to blame: but 1. The damage Shinji caused seems relatively minuscule in terms of scale; he may have geographically leveled the bottom of Tokyo-3/top of the Geofront but its ends right there when Kaworu halts it. 2. We don't see how one event leads to the others. From what we can gather from 2.0 and 3.0, both dialogue and visual clues, Third Impact:

>Involved Lilith, Eva Mark 06, Two spears, and the 12th Angel.
>Other units not mentioned may have been involved.
>Because angels come one after another, the 11th angel can assumed to have been killed.
>All of this happened relatively soon after the end of 2.0 as everyone in 3.0 claims this all happened 14 years ago which is the full time gap between movies.

These notes contradict each other. It's easy to say that because these events are so close to each other in time, the previous is responsible for the one after; but if enough time has passed for two angels to appear and fight both of them, how can Shinji/Unit 01 out of commission be responsible? There's the fact that Unit 01 in space/in Wundar is missing the spear that impaled it in 3.0. In that case we could say NERV/Wille/whoever pulled the spear out of Unit 01 out of desperation if fighting the 12th angel was so bad it actually made it's way to Lilith's Chamber, but Shinji has absolutely nothing to do with that decision.

At the end of the day, we simply can only speculate on what actually happened because despite all this information, there's still just not enough hints. I don't doubt that there is a series of dots that connect everything together on some paper (or three) written by Anno hidden away in the studio somewhere, I'm definitely in the camp that considers the next time preview material canon since it lines up so neatly with what we know in 3.0, and if it wasn't canon/relevant anymore it would have most definitely been removed by now in rereleases of 2.0. Furthermore these are the same people that made the next time preview at the end of episode 24 of NGE just storyboard animation from EoE; nobody would have had any idea what that would be at the time, it only makes sense now that we have the full picture.

That doesn't make it any less annoying though. Especially since I've been waiting eight years to see if it all matters or not. And judging by Anno's track-record, he seems eager to make me wait one more grueling, agonizing year with rumors of 3.0+1.0 being delayed until 2021 running around the internet.

I actually liked Kaworu & Shinji's interaction in 3.0. Given that we know that Kaworu is essentially a more friendly version of Rei, I can forgive him for not having much of a personality outside of being Shinji's boyfriend. At least with 3.0, seeing these two interact for a majority of the movie helps establish their relationship better than NGE where all they did was hang out in a bath and sleep in the same room. We're supposed to think that they hung out some more than just those two cases but it was rather poorly executed considering they only had so much time to work with and the director's cut of the episode didn't help alleviate the issue. 3.0 has this same issue but it was significantly more flexible with it's time constraints. Visual cues also help show the passage of time during these scenes (the lights in Shinji's room showing day/night). It's easier to deduce that Shinji & Kaworu spent time together outside what we see in the movie, even if it is just playing the piano, looking at the stars, or fucking each other.

Also we see Kaworu with Shinji in the trailer for 3.0+1.0 meaning he isn't gone yet and there still could be some more for his character.

I personally liked 3.0 because despite fucking Marie it felt like classic Eva at least to me. In NGE we got our SoL happy funtime moments like "Magma Diver" and "Dance Like You Want To Win" but those were juxtaposed by episodes in the second half like "Don't Be" and "Rei III". For the new movies, 2.0 is Magma Diver and 3.0 is Rei III, only it doesn't have the luxury of a more smooth transition from light to dark/gritty considering 3.0+1.0 seems to be the EoE equivalent and knowing that Anno hates making movies longer than two hours, there's a lot of ground to cover in 90-110 minutes.

I don't know if this was a Sega move or an Atlus move, but if it's the latter the chances would be pretty high if this sells well.

Judging by the reaction on /v/, this is a very good move.

EDIT: It's already the top seller on Steam.

That's good and all, but Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne on Steam when?

Persona 4 Golden is available on Steam!

There's also a $25 deluxe edition that comes with a digital artbook and soundtrack. This is great news and this could also open the way for 3 FES and 5 Royal to eventually make its way on other platforms; although now the Vita lost the one game it had going for it.

So Halo 3 Flighting is in full swing. Some initial thoughts:

- Game runs like PURE BUTTER on PC at 60fps, so smooth.
- Forge has SOME Reach features; rotation snap, phased/fixed editing, and fine editing through points-system. HOWEVER, it still has the clunky UI, and janky physics while moving things around. I died to the Guardians several times while trying to make a basic map on Foundry because the camera kept swinging me all over the place.
- Can't lower the FoV to XB1/360 angle, it's really awkward seeing your weapon and character arm take up so much of the screen.
- Griefing team-killers & Sweatlord Tryhards rampant in MM; waiting for 8v8 for the more casual experience.

I'm a sucker for graphic tees, especially if they're limited run prints or have artwork that isn't really seen. I have several Final Fantasy shirts (one of them being a 30th Anniversary special) and whenever I go out with friends I almost always get a comment from some stranger while wearing it. Also got others like Halo, Megacon (still have Vien's shirt to give him BTW), a few Gundam ones; brother went to a Miku concert up in NY so he picked up a tee for me, also got one from work for the wildlife conservation fund for increasing donations by over 500% in my old location.

Only problem is, I really only wear jeans and a tee-shirt in the summer cause of the heat. My preferred fashion/style is more male-nanchatte; any other season I wear button up shirts with a sweater-vest and tie.

I'm rewatching/restarting Kill La Kill since I never finished it and I forgot where I left off at. Four episodes in and I am absolutely loving this show.

I also watched Angel's Egg two nights ago for the first time. I don't know how to really feel about this since I watched it with a migraine and admittedly it flew over my head, but my basic opinion is that for a movie that's only 70 minutes long, it could have greatly benefited from only being 30-45 minutes long.

I didn't think about this before but I remember getting Korean BBQ when I went up to NY last year and other than the food just being all around good it was drenched in sauce yeah.

This reminds me

What's up with Korean food
I was on a Korean street food binge for a while and their food is always drenched in sauce (like five different sauces too), full of sugar, and ketchup is always involved somehow
