Leave it to a man who filibusters his own bills to be hypocritical on a matter of voting. At least with Kavanaugh it was only a midterm election.

My brother killed any interest in Vanguard because he couldn't shut the fuck up about how great it is. It didn't help that he chose making decks with the most loli-like anime girls wielding huge ass weapons with the cringiest flavor text. Yeah I play Sky Striker in YGO but I also play Thunder Dragon & Orcust.

I miss when making a single Stardust irst turn with my Dragunity was plenty good enough.

Most I do with Yu-Gi-Oh anymore is play Metaphys online sometimes. I was thinking about going for Rockets but  I'm no longer interested in getting back in physically now that Red-Eyes Darkness Metal is fucking dead.
I'm gonna go back to Vanguard once the pandemic dies down. You should try the mobile version. it's nowhere near as good as the physical game but it works.

So I asked around in other places that discuss the state of the meta game and it seems very likely that Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon will get hit on the next ban-list in December. I'm definitely going to keep Borreload Savage Dragon since he combos well with my Borrelsword; but what I was going to do is wait until Dragoon goes a bit further up in price (he currently dropped down to $42, I want to see if he can get into the $50's), sell him, and when he gets hit or reprinted buy him back immediately from the inevitable drop.

He's only that high up in price right now because of his effect and is very important to the current meta game. All of this will occur before the end of the year which is far before Konami will stop print of this set since it just came out like three weeks ago so I'm pretty optimistic about pulling this off.

If you need the money I say sell. But these are first editions and you never know if the price might skyrocket in a couple years. I’ve easily seen cards double in price once they are not printing those editions or that pack anymore.

Hold off if you can.

Still mad about Borrelsword existing? I agree about Dragoon though, this card is fucking format-killing.

I was at Target today doing my typical grocery shopping, and they had the 2020 Yugioh Megatins in stock for $20. I had less stuff to buy than I normally do so I went ahead and bought one on an impulse. Here's a picture with the four notable pulls I got.

Spoiler

Witch's Strike and Strength In Unity are pretty cheap despite being pretty good cards so I'll probably incorporate both into my Dark Magician deck since I haven't made any changes to it since I finished my Thunder Dragons & Sky Strikers. The real luck I got was from Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon & Borreload Savage Dragon. Here are their prices on TCGplayer:

Spoiler

If I sold them together and threw in another random staple like a Red Reboot I have laying around, I could sell them for $60 and make $40 off the tin. Red-Eyes would be very powerful in my Dark Magician deck; however the Japanese ban-list came out yesterday and banned Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon but here in NA we got one last week and Red-Eyes didn't get hit and we wont have a new list until December so I have a few months to decide on him. Borreload has no reason to get hit and he'd be kind of useful for my Thunder Dragons but I was hoping more to get Apollousa instead and she's only $10 on TCGplayer.

Even if Red-Eyes gets banned here in NA, he'd still make a pretty nice collectors card and I have more than enough room in my Collectors Binder.

Spoilers for others who may not be far into the show if they're watching it but should be safe for Class and everyone else.

Spoiler
Adam, the first angel and progenitor of all other angels except for Lilith and [Redacted] was found frozen by the Katsuragi team with the Lance of Longinus impaling him, leaving him in suspended animation. Upon foolishly removing the spear, Adam awakens and begins to completely destroy humanity and spread his seed (the other angels) around the world. The Katsuragi team use the Lance against Adam to lessen the damage and it reverts Adam back into an embryonic state.

Lilith was always in the Geofront and her Spear was destroyed when she came to Earth.

As for Antarctica, that was the second impact and it was caused by Adam combining with Lilith?

The supplemental material does a good job of explaining everything pretty clearly but as Verb said, that never really mattered anyways. In terms of plot though would you call Gendo/SEELE's conspiracy part of their development though? It's a pretty good juxtaposition against Shinji's character development where we (the audience) and he (Shinji) thinks this is all about him but isn't privy to the massive rails upon rails upon rails upon rails web of conspiracies between all the other side characters (Gendo, SEELE, Fuyutsuki, Kaji, Ritsuko, & Misato) and their constant attempts at trying to circumvent one group only to fall prey to another's master plan.

Eva shines in terms of character development but don't even try to decipher the plot because it's an unintelligible mess

The movie wraps it up better but it's still pretty garbo

Pretty late but I forgot I made this into a general. New info possibly coming October 4th for the 25th Anniversary of the series, along with a new promo image:

The AVANT preview for 3.0+1.0 is now available on the official app but it's still not officially translated and it's not even an HD rip of the preview, it's just a recording of the screen from the various venues it played at.

Also, I've been playing around with Filmora9, and made my own fan-promo reel of 3.33, it's basically a glorified AMV but some opinions on it would be nice:

Imagine being the clown that thinks we're back to normal just because he's able to do his NPC activities again. Oh, but with a mask though.

Imagine being this bitter that I'm not personally responsible for some random boomer's death because I was able to go out and get a haircut.

Oh so now the economy is more than a fucking meme to you? Piss off.

According to most mainstream news outlets, vaccine progress is coming along at a slightly faster than normal speed so I'm staying optimistic about sometime in the first half of next year. With that being said, we're already in a somewhat normal world now; other than having to wear a mask and getting my temp checked daily, I've been going to work, spending time with friends, and doing my usual stuff like I did before Corona was a thing. Hardly the doom and gloom some people would have you believe.

:^)

Any predictions when things might go to 'normal'? April 2021? Summer of 2021?

I don't understand you Deci, if you really wanted to win this argument you could've just compared the amount of black people killed by cops to the amount that are arrested without incident. It's literally one in ten thousand.

I thankfully never get individuals like you describe. Unfortunately they have been replaced with people who simply don't understand the rules of the road. If you are at a stop sign to make a left turn into oncoming traffic from both sides, you do NOT have the right of way against someone who needs to make a left turn into your road but doesn't have a stop marker on their side of the road.

So many people seem to think that it's like a four-way intersection where every side has a stop sign when that simply isn't case.

This. I believe what Desty is referring to is “The Death of The Author”.

The phrase is more used for the sentiment of "this guy is a total fucking shitbag full of bad takes but I like his music so I'll still listen to him I just won't like him as a person."

It's a shame how back during the early days of modern CoD, Infinity Ward got all the shit despite making the innovative titles and Treyarch got all the love despite rehashing what Infinity Ward created.

Interestingly enough, I never actually posted on r/animemes until now. I was always subbed but I never even visited the place. I learned what was going on from one of the Discord servers I'm in, I made one post in their AMA which received a mod response but I made one more post days later which I can only imagine was the cause for the shadowban.

The thread is more to poke fun at the fact that the sub is on fire and they seem to be trying to put it out by pouring gasoline over it. They were at 945k subs at their peak and one mod said they'd be fine with losing 10k if it meant the sub would be better without them and they're about to go under 900k and it's been eight or nine days straight of non-stop shitposting.

and how you post enough on a board focused on "anime memes" enough to actually get banned.

Easily my favorite, Nausicaa is a close second but it leaves you wanting more that isn't there whereas Princess Mononoke has a satisfactory conclusion to everything in its story. Nausicaa did get a 10-minute live action prequel though so it does seem to be more popular.

Watched Princess Mononoke, my first Ghibli film. Solid fantasy movie.

Honestly same, just goes to show moderation from site to site (or in this case, subreddit to subreddit) can be wildly different.

I'm surprised I haven't gotten banned from r/Halo yet
