Bruh I can totally understand and accept why you wouldn't want to play it with everything you said EXCEPT this. Even Persona 3 where the blue haired emo-looking slouching MC who blows his brains out to summon his Persona isn't "brooding" or "Edgy" and he's miles closer to that than P5's MC. They're literally designed like Master Chief, blank slates for you to paint your personality onto, that's why you also get to name them; which makes the anime tropes and cliches even greater because when you have Yukiko (best girl) going all blushing cute anime girl saying "Oh Jamal-kun!!" it's fucking hilarious.

And to be honest, the turn based combat is a thing I'm glad sticks around when RPG's are increasingly trying to go for real time action adventure type shit. It's what's destroying Final Fantasy if you ask me.

FFXV was an amazing game though. Tabata literally SAVED FF with real time action combat.
