I have to have unconditional love for all life or I will never become a transcendent being.

With that being said, fuck off.

If you payed any amount of significant attention to me you'd realize that I'm way too cynical to be a tree hugger.
Don't half ass your stereotypes, G. I know I'm not much worth giving a shit about but at least know me better before you banter. It makes it more fun that way.

The Flood / Re: Question for you Atheist
« on: April 09, 2016, 01:11:16 PM »
Not an atheist but I don't hold a traditional viewpoint so I'll post mine anyways I guess.

I hold 'the self' as the highest regard. The self being the most fundamental essence of what you are, IE the purest awareness of your existence that you can have. (one without the bias of human experience, or any experience for that matter)

In life we have many notions about who or what we are but these arise from and are influenced by duality, or the state of being in which multiple phenomena are experienced. Your name, sex, race, personality, interests, family, occupation, religion, all of these things that you might consider to be the makeup of what you are, all exist interdependently, not inherently, and they are all rooted in something. They each have a source to their manifestation.

If you remove these notions and follow their sources back further and further, you come to a point where you reach that which cannot be gotten rid of. IE: the self. Through all uncertainty in life there is one truth, for each person (and this a very personal truth), that supersedes all others. This truth is that you simply are. It's not, "you are this" or 'You are that". It's not,"I am Zach," or, "I am a white male," or, "I am an American. " No it's just simply, "I am."

However, whosoever abides by this absolutely does not hold the thought," I am." No, in fact, anything that arises from human experience is absolutely extinguished in this state. That includes the ego. (Thoughts, personality, memories, emotions), leaving only the self in it's most naked and purest form. Without form or definition. No identity.

I feel like in death, we all return to this state. And maybe, perhaps after innumerable eons or even in an instant, becomingness is stirred up yet again and we might just take on a new identity in a new reality somewhere, or maybe even the same reality. Of course that life would be just as impermanent as this one ergo one would still return back to 'the self' eventually. Or maybe one might just stay in such a state indefinitely and break from the cycle entirely. I believe Hindus and Buddhists like to call that Nirvana or enlightenment.

Intentionally it's probably biological/chemical weapons, like you said. They have the capacity to inflict virtually unimaginable levels of suffering onto humanity as a whole. However, unintentionally, I would say a nuclear catastrophe (not the bomb kind but the radiation kind). since it has the potential to inflict just as much horrific suffering but not only to humanity or certain other susceptible species but almost the entire biological population of the planet essentially causing another mass extinction.

I bottle the most important aspects of my issues inside. Not one for pity parties.

I've a feeling that doing so is stressing me even more, but I just don't like to be a bother.

the secret is that shitposting is the key to solving energy scarcity
Engineer keyboards and touchscreens to covert the energy used to type into new clean energy? Genius.

The Flood / Re: How can I improve my reading speed and comprehension?
« on: April 06, 2016, 12:51:12 PM »
You can't be an egoless transcendent being and still have an affinity with your physical form.

Anyways, Learn to skim but still take in as much information as possible. Reading a book doesn't mean you have to sound out every single word in your head like you're reciting the thing for someone else to hear. As long as you recognize whatever is trying to be conveyed, then you're golden.

The Flood / Re: Modern Chivalry (and civilized manners) is dead
« on: April 06, 2016, 08:58:27 AM »
You don't know everyone in the world, ftr, so you have no idea whether or not chivalry has completely died. Unless you can somehow permeate throughout the entire planet and perceive everyone like some ethereal deity or something. . .

No? Okay then you shouldn't use your own personal experiences as the basis for the bigger picture, because your perspective doesn't equate to all perspectives.

Personally, I witness chivalry on a day to day basis here, however it wasn't the case when I lived in The Bronx so I assume it has varying degrees of practice in different regions of the world.

Exhausting yourself helps.
Avoid technology at least 30 mins before bed.
Also, diphenhydramine.

tbh though, insomnia usually has some underlying health condition as a cause. (not necessarily a serious one)

Emotion can and inevitably will be a burden in life, regardless of the times it's not.

Sometimes I feel like my capacity to feel strongly about something is diminishing, but then something sets me off and it all comes out like a river of blood, sweat, and/or tears, so I realize that my heart is still conflicted.

However, I've come to see that emotion undergoes a sort of metamorphosis in a way when you start to look at the bigger picture and focus on the most important things in life more often. Your mindset begins to change and it puts things into perspective. And thus do a lot of petty or superficial concerns begin to diminish leaving only the more essential ones to focus on.

Sithis>all
sithis is anu's bitch tbh
Nothing is permanent. All things must return to the void in time, even gods.
Except that Anu IS the cosmic opposite of the void.
Anu is the manifestation of stasis, right? From what I gather from the lore anyways. While Sithis is the manifestation of change. Both of them came from the void, supposedly.

TES never really details exactly what the void is but it does imply it being a realm of 'darkness' or 'emptiness' which would be a good symbol of 'stasis' since there can be no change in emptiness. Which makes it fairly ironic considering Sithis, the lord of change, is always associated with the void.

tbh I just like Sithis for being a harbinger of entropy.

« on: April 05, 2016, 11:10:42 PM »
So you all use gasoline instead of petrol/diesel.......what the heck.....am I missing something here?
we use diesel for big trucks and semis

idk what petrol is
Petrol is just another word for gasoline.
