There will eventually be a day where someone somewhere will cause you to break.
Except I've snapped at people before.

For being fucking irritating.

I don't find people who call me out irritating.

Ergo, I'm probably not going to behave the way you do. And I thank God for that one.

You should be able to fire somebody for almost any reason provided they're the cause of some sort of disruption.

but the question is why?
Because you're an incredibly un-likeable and seemingly irreparable cunt.
But you're like 20 times worse.
Immaterial, since I don't go off the rails when people call me out for my bullshit. I know I can be a cunt, I just really don't give a fuck.

I feel like I've failed once again.
Of course you have.

All you've ever done is literally throw yourselves on the bayonets of those who would skewer you. Moron.

Do you ever think people won't drop it because you won't shut the fuck up about it.

It's like you insist on being a form of entertainment for all the petit-sadists here. You fucking deserve it.

The Flood / Re: are you friendly irl?
« on: February 23, 2015, 02:59:32 PM »
I am, surprisingly. I get along with pretty much everybody I know, even if I'm blunt with them in serious discussions. It's actually become part of the expectations people have of me, to be exceptionally critical of the propositions people make.

But I find people--happily--are able to separate the social and intellectual aspects of life. I'm fairly friendly with the people I quite constantly disagree with.

Serious / Re: How do we prevent gerrymandering?
« on: February 23, 2015, 02:51:49 PM »
Do you ever feel like some political bullshit is just so deeply ingrained that it's impossible to fix? This is how I feel about gerrymandering. I wouldn't have the slightest clue how to go about fairly distributing districts.
Exactly this.

My go-to, really, is to shrink the size of the government. It's not a solution, per se, to gerrymandering but it has the expedient benefit of making gerrymandering less efficacious.

No. I'd like less Christians in general, never mind just here.

Serious / Re: Why do people fetishize democracy?
« on: February 23, 2015, 02:08:20 AM »
Completely agree.

Polítical freedom has next to no value when compared with civil and economic freedom.
You need political freedom in order to preserve civil and economic freedom, as I understand it.
It's not a necessity so much as it is an expedient. Like, democracy's a bice pressure valve for a society,  but it can fail miserably when people elect the wrong government.

There's probably a better way of preserving them than democracy--we just ain't found it yet.

Alan Greenspan talking about the lack of illiquid investment in the economy. Basically, companies and businesses are focussed on short-term, highly liquid, assets as opposed to longer-term assets like--say--residential construction.

This is indicative of--say it with me--a tight monetary policy, as a search for liquidity is often a sign of low velocity/high demand.

TC;DR: I'm right, as usual.

It's so annoying to watch intelligent people like Alan Greenspan fumble around in the right general direction, but miss what is probably the correct answer.
