Executing a prisoner is no different than killing an innocent.
Now I've fucking heard it all.

Pretty nervous first starting out, but once you get into the routine it's an amazing job. I love it and look forward to work everyday. I don't have to put on the uniform, I get to put on the uniform. I'm thoroughly looking forward to continuing my career as is.
I'm happy for you. It's a great thing to enjoy your job.

Starting my first year of university in like six weeks.

"Hey these guys are going to kill people"

"Let's kill them to show that killing is wrong"
I've honestly never seen a better example of middle school logic than in arguments like this. How the fuck is killing a terrorist to remove him from society worse than said terrorist detonating a bomb to kill innocent civilians in the name of his already disgusting ideology?

It's moral delusion to the extreme.

I usually quit like a week or a few days before I move back to school.
I also go on holiday in a week's time.

Which wasn't booked with work. Quitting is better than being fired.

How can I be wrong when this was my answer?

pork doesn't count if they're force-fed. That would be retarded.
What if we shoot them with bullets soaked in pigs' blood?

Fuck no.

I don't want to lose a day's pay because some people are too fucking lazy to vote after work.

god fucking dammit meta

Fuck you. I'm a natural-born free rider.

3764
If they knew they'd get killed every time they were captured (provided they haven't blown themselves up already), they'd attack more.
So let's force-feed them pork before we kill them.

3765
Dying doesn't.
Meh, I don't really care what scares them. I just want them gone.

Sparking fears of a potential terror attack.

Quote
An British ISIS recruiter linked to several terror plots has reportedly been spotted in Birmingham with two suspected jihadis.

Sally Jones - married to Birmingham terror suspect Junaid Hussain - is feared to be planning an atrocity after slipping back into the country.

Special Branch officers are said to be on full alert after the sighting of the fanatic, who has been dubbed ‘Mrs Terror’ after arriving in Syria in 2013 to fight for the extremist group.

A source said: “This is worrying but Special Branch officers are working on this to track her down. Officers are in place at various airports to keep an eye out for her.

“There is intelligence that she was last seen in Birmingham with two individuals, aged 18 and 22.

“Detectives are also keeping an eye on shopping centres and large events.”

Scotland Yard refused to comment on the reported sighting of the mother-of-two.

She is married to Hussain, 21, who urged undercover reporters posing as prospective recruits to carry out attacks in Britain and sent them bomb-making guidebooks.

Jones also revealed in the online sting that she had recruited a female terrorist who is in Glasgow and is ready to launch a devastating attack at tomorrow’s VJ commemorations.

Hussain, originally from Kings Heath, is reported to be running the ISIS recruitment arm in the terror group’s stronghold of Raqqa in Syria.

Jones, a former punk singer, of Chatham in Kent, was also thought to be there.

Police Scotland said it was working with Met police after the reports of “potential terrorist activity”, adding the threat level in the UK remains at severe, meaning an attack is highly likely.

The Met’s Specialist Operations unit said it “remained alert to terrorist threats”.

It has also been reported that ISIS is plotting to blow up the Queen at the VJ commemorations, triggering an urgent review of security arrangements for the events.

A terror chief has claimed four or five British recruits who trained in Syria have returned here to launch strikes.

Can we bring back the death penalty so we can fuck these guys up if they try anything?

Unless they currently cost more to maintain than the energy they're putting out.
That's not the only issue involved in sustainability. I'd say you have a pretty unsustainable energy sector if it can't meet the demand of consumers, regardless of whether it makes a net loss.

3769
Well wind farms aren't exactly sustainable anyway so it kind of is a legitimate argument.
Elaborate.
They're highly inefficient, AFAIK. Nuclear is the way to go.

What do B's translate to SAT scores, roughly?
B grades are defined by obtaining a minimum of 70pc of total potential marks; at least they were this time around. Thing is I did broadly well on most of them, but utterly bombed a couple and it dragged me down.

I got 67.5pc on my history coursework, so I was just below a B. And I utterly fucked one of my politics exams by getting 50pc and landing with a D, although I've sent that one off to be remarked.

You have my deepest condolences
I'm about three miles away from Colchester high street, so the campus is actually quite isolated. Most of the night-life actually takes place in the student accommodation tower blocks, and there's a nice little village called wivenhoe just two miles South.

I don't even need to venture somewhere densely populated.

Serious / Britain's Bernie Sanders
« on: August 13, 2015, 04:08:00 PM »
Is this wacky fuck nugget:

Jeremy Corbyn.
  • Has referred to Hamas as "friends".
  • Wants to raise corporation tax to fund free higher education.
  • Wants to raise the top bracket of income tax, despite the fact that it would only raise a few hundred million.
  • Wants to renationalise the railways (they're already nationalised, but not many people seem to know that).
  • Wants to renationalise the energy sector (muh coal mines).
  • Wants to fund infrastructure projects by printing money.

What's with all the left-wing pseudo-socialist loonies at the moment?

are b's bad in britain
No, I was just hoping for better. I'll still be able to make the most of it; I'll use the mid-level university I'm going to to get a good BA and maybe MSc and springboard my way into a decent doctoral programme.

Hopefully; dissertations are much more my thing than examinations.

Did better than me last year - honestly I wouldn't say you tanked 'em.

So, where you going now for Uni?
Essex.

If they record the number, how is it anonymous?
Because nobody can access the number without a warrant. . .

Nobody can see the information collected by the NSA without a judge signing off on it. You need to know who you're targeting before you can even approach the shit they pick up.

3779
Hardly, it would be unusable if it were.
Seeing what number was called when would be unusable? Don't be absurd. Whitepages.com has more personally identifying information about you than the NSA; fuck, they need to get a warrant before an official can even access the metadata. But that doesn't nullify the capacity to draw lines between potential terrorist cells and affiliates.

Calls and emails aren't personal?
Metadata isn't.

Fuck me. I'd take Clinton over Sanders; she's a duplicitous bitch, but at least she wouldn't run the country into the fucking ground.

The same thing is pretty much happening here in the UK with Jeremy Corbyn pulling ahead in the Labour leadership elections.
