You underestimate how abysmally low our native birth rate is, and our total population was never very high to begin with.
Without a steady flow of immigrants, our federal government would quite likely collapse under its own wight and for all intents and purposes cease to exist.
Why on earth would you want to forestall that?

And you can't think of a damn reason why I despise you? Are you that fucking dense? You literally follow me around on three websites constantly sending me harassing messages, you impersonate me on another site and get everyday to hate me, and you spread around idiotic rumors about me
Of fucking course I despise you

fun fact: without immigration canada would basically fall apart due to shrinking tax base
we're unique among most western nations in that we actually need heavy immigration to support our continued existence.
Unique? The U.K. has a similar problem. Fiscal contribution by immigration is basically keeping us afloat, although not because of a shrinking tax base. You guys need to get fucking.

The complete H.P. Lovecraft.
Let me tell you, his pre-cthulhu mythos stories are a real chore to sit through.
Lovecraft is quite static in general.

Like how the government commits terrorists acts on its own people just to condemn other nations that do the same?
Or tries to stop middle eastern countries *cough*iran*cough* from getting even a single-nuke while simultaneously being their single-biggest threat.

Not really, I gave him a warning the first time he did it telling him an hour ban is in place for the next time he does it. It's not my fault he's too dumb to follow rules.

Ah so it's that they made a really stupid mistake rather than simply blind greed that led to it <.<
Essentially. As for the Recession itself, that was caused by a contractionary monetary policy.

Can you give a summary of the Basel accords? <.< I don't know a whole lot about Economics/Banking and all that.
I don't know a lot myself, but the Basel Accords essentially said that mortgages were a safe kind of debt which caused financial institutions to shift their focus. On top of this, if moral hazard and greed were the problems, we wouldn't have seen financial executives acting the same way with their private investments. However, we did.

Who's fault is it then? *lowers lynching rope and pitchfork*
Central Bank caused the recession. The Financial Crisis is a bit different, but I'd put it down to the Basel Accords. It doesn't seem to have been a case of moral hazard where banks acted recklessly knowing they'd be bailed out.

Meta Cognition, Le Dustin, Kiyohime, Ktan Dantaktee, Kinder_, Cheat, Nuka, DAS B00T x2.
I may or may not have copy/pasted this from the home page because I can't think of anyone. Well, we can always resort to cannibalism.
We'll eat Kinder first.
