If you become a really famous actor before I run for prime minister, endorse my party.

At least three people at that dance will walk out pregnant where they weren't previously.

Like, I understand AMA threads. I partake from time to time, and when people play ball it can be a nice way to pass the time or eliminate boredom. However, this?
Quote
Turns out I won't be having the job I talked about AMA
What the fuck is this?

Like, seriously? It's such a narrow subject that you could make a thread without it being an AMA, and it seems like the worst sort of petty narcissism to assume that people would indeed be as interested in your unemployment as to actually interview you about it.

Fuck me.

The destruction of ISIS has been one of the most persuasive justification we've had in recent years.

At the absolute least we need a combination of air support, military advice and special forces on the ground in order to get this done.

I like you a lot less after you admitted to torturing animals, how does that make you feel?
Not at all surprised. It's the social undesirability of it which makes me stop, after all.

The death penalty is never justified. I don't care if we captured Hitler, there's never an excuse for government-mandated murder.
Rehab is a giant waste of money. The public shouldn't have to pay for a prisoner to live. Especially the state they get to live in. Nowadays prisoners live in pretty damn good conditions.
You can't say that because we don't have a system of rehabilitation.

Russian prisons basically have everybody on 23 hour lockdown with no way for inmates to mingle like in American prisons, meet new people, and extend their criminal enterprises. That's what we fucking need here, none of this liberal rehab B.S
Yeah, because the Russians don't have a fucking crime problem.

I have to disagree. If someone takes a life why do they deserve to keep theirs?
Because the judicial system can't be atomistic. If you have a chance to reform a person, you should do it purely on utilitarian grounds. Most murders are crimes of passion or "necessity".

Yes, for crimes against children in which there is absolute and irrefutable evidence.

No. Rehabilitation is the single best option for society. Some people, however, are immune to rehabilitation.

Hanging is the only proper form of capital punishment.
So would you agree that any and all murderers that have irrefutable physical evidence (non-circumstantial) against them should be executed immediately?
No.

Only the incurably psychopathic.

I think a quick bullet to the head is better. Less suffering.
Hanging is cheaper for the taxpayer.

Let's see...

Incest? Check
An OTT Lobotomy? Check
Essentially paying for sex? Check

Yep, pretty damn immoral.

You could even argue it goes against his utilitarian beliefs seeing as he's making a child brain-dead on purpose, similar to those brain-dead vegetables in hospitals they pull the plugs on. That's total psychological harm by making them husks, and then humiliation by fucking them.

EDIT: Oh, and that's ignoring the elephant in the room with the pedophilia and rape. (Even if this was in the Vatican/Japan, it's still un-consented sex)
I wouldn't say it's rape.

Besides that, however, incest, prostitution and paedophilia aren't immoral by any reasonable capacity.

I'm not pinning all the blame on you, so don't take it that way.
You shouldn't pin any blame on me.

You consent to the inevitable controversy that comes from discussing controversial topics when you enter this board.
So you're saying I should just ignore everything in here since it's offensive and not have a say at all?
No, not at all.

I'm saying you shouldn't accuse me of trying to start something when you've chosen to partake in a patently controversial discussion. Defend the marginalised all you like.

Purposely removing sentience so you can fuck a child seems rather immoral and crude, yeah.
So the dis-allowance of potential sentience for personal gain is an immoral act?

A very wealthy man wants to have sex with young girls. But, he's a utilitarian who would never dream of causing suffering, harm or humiliation.

So, he buys human eggs on the open market and mixes them with his own sperm in a lab. He pays a lot of money for the eggs and the lab, everybody's making money, he pays a woman a lot for her to be a surrogate. At five months of gestation he has a special surgeon come in and perform an operation to sever the brain-stem which would cause the child to be born brain dead. No sensation is ever felt by this person over the course of her life from conception to eventual death.

The child is born, he pays to have the body taken to his house and then when it reaches the age of 11-12 he begins having sex with it.

Well sorry if I'm a little peeved to see the path this thread immediately went before I got involved.
If by "the path" you mean Challenger and Class expressing their opinions, you seriously need to calm down. Are transgendered persons the victims of abuse? Yes, unfortunately routinely. Is having a discussion, wherein a few people express their belief that it is a mental disorder, abuse? No. Absolutely not.

Why, because someone is here to actually defend the otherwise largely targeted and mocked?
Um, no. I'm a supporter of the LGBT community.

I'm sorry this isn't going the path or your usual political shitfests where everyone makes fun of Kinder.
I really don't do that anymore, and I'm sure Kinder will support that for me. I got tired of that a while back, and keep it to Anarchy now. Also, stop being such a sanctimonious prick - I actually like you. You can't pin the actions of posters on me when it suits your caricature of me as some Machiavellian discord-sower.

Funny, because "Let the games begin!" sounds like you're doing just that.

Hi, I'm a human being, I like to make jokes and humorous observations on the unfortunate side-effects of otherwise well-meaning instances.

Right, and that's exactly why you respond the way you do.
Like the way you misgendered Noelle in plug.dj and other places. Totally not trying to stir up anger, right?

Don't make me start quoting things from this thread.
>calling Noelle "he"
>making a thread trying to discuss the issue

Don't even try to conflate the two consequentially.

You know very well what you were trying to start here.
Oh my God, what the fuck are you talking about?

I couldn't have made a more neutral title if I tried. Did I know it'd be controversial? Yes, of course. That's what this fucking board is for. If you're going to try and pin the sour taste left in your mouth after this discussion, it's just bullshit.

And ill feelings you harbour towards people following any kind of discussion is on you. Don't try and pull this "OP is an agent of chaos" crap on me.

13137
Serious / Re: Is transgenderism a mental disorder?
« on: September 14, 2014, 07:00:53 PM »
Maybe because people are purposely trying to stir up anger.
I mean that's the entire point of this topic, right? The title alone is an obvious enough indicator.
Don't even try with that shit, man.

This is supposed to be a proper discussion and you fucking know it.

Transsexualism has the same definition as being transgender.
Stupid.
Quote
Transgender is the state of one's gender identity or gender expression not matching one's assigned sex.

Quote
Transsexualism is when an individual identifies with a gender inconsistent or not culturally associated with their assigned sex.

I may be wrong, but I thought "transgender" referred to people who changed their sex.
See, to me, that doesn't make any sense.

A change of sex should be called transexual. Which it is.
Transsexualism has the same definition as being transgender.
