They've still fucked up with my pre-order though. Had to get my address deliver changed and that required them cancelling the current order and starting a new one, except this new one costs £83.32 rather than the £79.99 it should have cost. Haven't bothered asking about it because I just can't be arsed with them anymore. And it's only an extra £3-£4 so it's not that big a deal.

I just received this email from GAME and I'm kind of confused for multiple reasons.
They are really fucking with you aren't they <.<
They fucked me over with the MCC, and with Halo 5. If they do it with this, I'll be pissed.
GAME isn't the best for reliability unfortunately.
I'm kinda glad I've got a store order and an online/delivery order because that's at least a backup plan for if they fuck one of the orders up.
I was pissed when it was GAME exclusive, because if it was amazon then the worst problem you'd have would be it being delivered a day late.
Nevermind, they fucked up. No mention of the fact that they incorrectly put the date as Tuesday 9th November in the previous email.

>why did master chief opt to venture into the flood hive alone despite being shit scared of the flood this is not a plot hole
Still doesn't really fit his character for him to go in there alone without hesitation.
Because he has the lowest likelihood of being infected due to his shields, armor, and gigantic balls?
The books present John as being absolutely terrified of the Flood. In the novelization of Halo: CE, John is attacked by an infection form that would have infected him had it not been for Cortana using the energy from his suit to kill it. In First Strike, remembering his encounter with the Flood causes him to punch a dent in the wall in the Longsword because of how much it scarred him. Also, he's in a Flood Hive. Gravemind should have been able to easily kill him in there, but chose not to, because plot armor. That entire mission was bullshit from a story perspective.

They're not making anymore last I checked.
And Kojima kept saying "it's da rast one, I promisssu"
what a great sendoff
"its like reach all over again!"
um
reach was objectively the best halo
so
i'm right
and you're wrong
which means I win
gg no re
Halo 4 was objectively the best Halo. It set the benchmark for modern FPS gaming.
huehuehue
but seriously though, Halo 4 was better than Reach.
um you see
I could agree with you, but then I'd have to kill myself.
Read what i said above munchkin
mp was trash
sp was gud
um you see
mp was trash
sp was shite
Mr. Psy, I see you prefer mediocre stories like 3 and bland stories like Reach.
3 had the best story Reach had the best campaign objectively.
which means i'm right and you are WRONG
>thinks that Halo 3, while enjoyable, had the best story >that reach had the best campaign
get the fuk outta here, visitor.
Um, they did.
Halo 3 had the Covenant as a mission. That was hands down the most fun mission in any halo game ever. Two. Scarabs.
Reach had the best story narrative, the slow demise of your squad whilst you try to save the planet ;-;7 RIP remember reach never 5get.
One mission does not save it from a shitty plot full of holes.
While it had a good narrative (that butchered previously established lore), it had bland characters, bland settings and annoying squad AI.
I don't see any plotholes in the story. You land on earth after halo 2, you link up with the friendly elites and shoot your way to the main base for the humans. You then help the humans on earth whilst the covvies dig up the keyship, which opens the portal to the ark. You go to the ark, stop them making more halo rings and the flood arrive to fuck shit up. You beat them all, escape but get cut off by the explosions/portal and go to sleep.
>how the fuck did high charity fit through the portal >why didn't truth take any humans through the portal even though he needed humans to activate halo >why did the humans follow truth even though they knew he needed humans to activate halo >why did master chief opt to venture into the flood hive alone despite being shit scared of the flood >why was arbiter's character completely sidelined despite being present in all the game's major events >why was miranda keyes so fucking retarded the entire game especially that part where she crashes a pelican alone into the citadel to stop truth rather than just using the pelican's gun to shoot everyone in there sacrificing johnson >why does the first half of halo 3 not even have a plot

Spoiler The story is really disappointing. The entire advertising campaign revolved around this massive rivalry between John and Locke which never happened. Chief's status as a traitor was never brought up in the game. None of Halo 4's plot points were continued. It didn't really feel like a continuation of the story at all. The Cortana plotline completely ruins everything about Halo 4's relationship between Chief and Cortana. I do really miss Halo 4's much quieter, more personal story now that Halo 5's here.

If I find the time to. I'm trying to figure out a planning style. I have a load of key plot points in my head but I'm not very good at planning it all on paper, but I also don't like to make things up as I go along.
Most of my ideas involve the third person limited but with multiple POV characters.
Also my favourite genre to write is probably post-apocalyptic/dystopia in general. Not much of a fantasy fan or a fan of present-day settings.
Kind of like ASOIAF's writing style?
Yeah, I've been reading the books recently so I'm partly inspired by that style of writing.

The gunplay looks really good. The animations are shitty but it's not that big on my priority list.

Also another question...
Do you think F2 is playable on Win10?
I can check for you if you'd like
If you want that'd be nice.
If you do thanks in advance.

"These Guardians can police an entire solar system"
Can't even kill a few Spartans I fail to see how governing an entire solar system is even that big of a threat. Humanity at this point IIRC is spread across the galaxy. Ooh, you can destroy 25~ solar systems if we say no.
The Covenant had the Orion Arm. Humans had not even a percentage of that.
The galaxy is still mostly unexplored - so i'm sad she doesn't list any species we haven't seen yet in the last mission.
Also lol the yonhet got mentioned before the jiralhanae.
Meanwhile the Drones are still being ignored
And all the prophies fell into some dark galactic asshole.
Pretty much the entire surviving species* went extinct when the flood took over High Charity. There were only a couple thousand and they called the big mushroom their home. What few remain have took shelter with the Jiralhanae. So yeah, makes sense we don't really see 'em.
*not includong the Stoics, who stayed o Janjur Qom when the reformists left the planet. We have no idea what they've been doing for the past 3,000 years.
Another prime opportunity for awesome. Likely never to be taken up on no doubt.
We had the stoics in a book last year. 343 has said before they have plans for the San 'Shyuum and even the Drinol/ Sharquoi (which have been mentioned once in a very obscure source)
We'll see them again. 343's just playing the long game with events. Remember they've got several years of content planned; on a three year dev cycle, that ends the third trilogy in 2027, presumably with the flood invasion.
With that much time to cover events, why do it all at once?
But do they have plans for the Yonhet?

Honestly, Walking dead is the only zombie thing I like. Everything else that tries zombies is just meh
Unless I Am Legend counts as zombies. That was a great film.
i would count i am legend
also, the walking dead is the most generic and boring shit ever--i don't know how everything else is meh to you, but you like that
Recent seasons have been very well written ever since they got a new showrunner. First few seasons ranged from meh to terrible.

Is there going to be a separate Fallout thread once the game is released?
I'm lovin' the Fallout banter here, but I don't want to spoil any of the game if I'm getting it later.
We can just use this one but enforce the same rules as with the Halo 5/MGS threads. No need for a separate thread.
