People say Halo 5's ending was Halo 2 tier but at least Halo 2's cliffhanger made sense and got you hyped for the next game. Halo 5's was just shitty.

KOTOR's D20 system is great and has aged pretty well. Finished a playthrough of KOTOR a couple days ago and am playing through KOTOR 2 right now.

Rey is the descendant of Bastila Shan and Revan and Tray Tor is a mind-wiped Revan.

Excellent. Whenever he starts talking [with substance that is, not Destiny style "game is big guys"] in Vidocs it puts me into maximum overhype. Hope they do a lot of those for Recore.
Not even Joe could save Halo's story at this point anyway.
Hm, how pessimistic has Archive gotten in the wake of H5? I understand that the story for H5 is bad [you had to expect it from the day we saw the lead writer posting on Brian Reed's Twitter], but it's salvageable for sure.
Halo Archive is somewhat pessimistic, I think. I don't know, I've been banned since September.
I don't see how Halo's story could be salvaged unless the evil Cortana, the Warden Eternal and Jul Mdama's death all ended up being a dream.
Naturally. However, Jul and Warden's fates aren't exactly franchise killer. Halo dodged 5's bullet because there was so little of substance actually happening for the series until the end of the game. Hell, Warden could still be developed into something cool given his backstory [not a "true" AI, warped view of the Mantle]. Evil Cortana was written poorly in Halo 5, but in concept it's not a bad thing at all. There's a progression from the creator/created conflict, the Primordial beating you over the head with the same language, and the Domain that a lot of people seem to overlook. And that's not even considering the more dusty parts of Halo-Marathon lore which almost naturally suggests an eventually megalomaniacal fate for Cortana.
Really, I'm not trying to scapegoat here but all of Halo's narrative right now seem specific to the particular writing team assigned. I don't understand why Reed keeps being promoted, given how every piece of writing he makes is more hated by the community than the last. Still, if he can be removed, I think Halo's story will definitely bounce back.
If Reed is removed, then maybe there is hope. But it doesn't seem to be happening any time soon. I would have preferred to have had it so either: a) A composed Didact (seeing as he somehow got composed in Escalation) takes Cortana's role in the story, with the writing tweaked to accommodate it. b) The Warden Eternal is a composed Didact corrupting Cortana. Even if Halo manages to redeem itself with 6, Halo 5 will still leave a stain on the main story. I really hope they get rid of Reed because nearly everything he's written for Halo has been complete trash.

KOTOR and KOTOR 2.
Both have far better combat than TOR, and better writing. KOTOR 2 in particular has god-tier writing and the best combat out of the three games. Great characters, interesting worlds. With KOTOR 2 though, the Restored Content Mod is essential. It's now available on Steam workshop, endorsed by Obsidian themselves and contains some really important stuff which couldn't make it into the game due to Obsidian's extremely tight schedule.
Of course, the combat isn't for everyone. I personally love it but others dislike it.
For me, the KOTOR games are my favourite games of all time, particularly 2, so I may be a little biased when it comes to recommending SW games.
Another great SW game is Jedi Academy and TFU is okay.

Bioware's new Mass Effect game seems to be losing developers in all departments so things aren't looking great for the company.

KOTOR 2's combat is much better, especially when you get to the higher levels and just tear through the Sith Lords on Malachor V.

KOTOR was a game I never got a chance to play. I would have loved that game back in the day if I had it.
It's on steam and any modern computer can easily run it. It's even a game for iPad
Shit's broken as fuck for me.
kotor I can play for about five minutes before the game decides to not let me move in any way other than clicking on an object.
kotor 2 actually works pretty well now though, my only problem with it before was that the resolution options made it unplayable.
KOTOR on PC is awfully buggy, especially on Dantooine where the sky turns inside out. I'm surprised how well KOTOR 2 runs on PC though. I could never finish it when I first got it on Xbox back in 2007 because the game would freeze up on Onderon. Bought the PC version with the RCM a couple years back and it runs pretty well, and has pretty much become my favourite game.

If the developer made their game to not have anti-aliasing then no anti-aliasing is better.

Because it's Star Wars.
There are shit Star Wars games.
Okay?
It's an okay game at best, but because it's Star Wars people hold it in higher esteem.
That's not why I like it at all LOL.
I never said that's why you like it
You are no son of mine.

idk
what sucks is that i'm gonna end up playing it and it's gonna end up being stupid
Nah it's fun.
But like. It's not the best game ever like some people make it out to be.
I mean it's down to preference. Personally KOTOR is one of those games that I can play after this many years and still enjoy as much as any modern game. It's not everyone's cup of tea though.

III is the best prequel movie though 1 is a lot better when you consider Lucas's original plan for the series.
3 is overrated.
What he intended and what he actually did aren't the same thing. Episode 1 is easily the worst Star Wars movie.
I'd say 2 is. 1 is at least watchable but 2 is downright unpleasant.

Why is David Cameron visiting the flooded areas. I think they've suffered enough.
Well he had to convene a cobra meeting to show him where the north of England was, so we shouldn't let the effort go to waste.
He had to make sure the Northern Powerhouse™ was safe.
