Simple: One is a campaign mission and the other is a lame commercial featuring a weapon skin that you dont even have to use if you don't like it. Sure 343 have been doubling down on the dumb ads lately but thats not the whole game.

If it bothers you this much go complain to 343 on reddit or waypoint. Tell 343 you don't like their ad campaign. Ill even back you up on it if you do.

Halo 4 was great, but Halo 5...is just a confused mess.
I dont think 343 even know what they're doing. It's like they went from doing their own thing with Halo 4 to trying to apease the Halo community and emulate BUNGiE's style including the laid back attitude without actually understanding it.
The thing is, outside of here, people don't seem to bothered with that ad from what I can tell.
This sort of shit isn't what I want from a Halo game. I don't want shitty dubstep, cringey humour, weapon skins and microtransactions. All I want is a cool military-sci-fi story with some of the Forerunner stuff thrown in, balanced multiplayer and a variety of fun custom options.

Well, you can't pinpoint Revan and the Exile's personality for obvious reasons.
And if they want to bring them back they would have to keep to one version of the character.
They still had base personalities even if most of it was determined by the player. But the Revan and Exile in SWTOR are so poorly written it's awful. SWTOR is the reason why I hope Bioware never makes a KOTOR 3.
